      @@thealexsoda R u serious? Only those who r not new to such fruits or others too faces this problem?

    • @noteh
      @noteh Год назад +3

      @@isshiomi6364depends on what fruit you eat and your sour tolerant. Some fruit are purposely sold unripe so they got more fiber and it will taste more sour, also the condiment is usually very spicy to western bud bcs we use bird eye chillis/dried chillis, some condiment is mixed with shrimp paste/tamarind/vinegar/. Some fuits are pre pickled with vinegar/salt (and some other combos) so you will definitely have a fun trip going to the toilet if you do not be careful with your portion. Locals with high sour tolerant like me can finish 1-2 bowls without having diarrhea. If you are new to this, just have a small cup until you build enough tolerant. This rule applied to all fruit salad stalls across south east asia. Just ask the vendor to pick ripe fresh fruit if you are unsure. Safest option; water chestnut. Haha

    In Indonesia, the fresh ones with sweet chili dipping sauce or hot salt we called it rujak, and the pickles ones called asinan. We usually eat fruit pickles with sweet sour chili broth but cold(?). The fresh ones are same, but goddamit that version is far beyond ours and I definitely give it 1000000/100. The best!!!!

    1:09 is not a gooseberry. It's siniguelas in the Philippines, jocote for Latin Americans, sometimes called Spanish plums... scientifically known as Spondias purpurea.

    56 seconds - we have them in south india in Andhra pradesh state. i know the telugu name only "vaakkaay" very sour in taste like goose berry, it can also be cooked or can be eaten directly or like in the video. i love it
