  • In this episode #3, we continue our adventure to get to the Mediterranean Sea. We make our way from Rennes, the capital city of Brittany to Nantes. by joining the Nantes to Brest canal.
Adventures aboard SV MINUET highlights my continuing quest to explore the seas and inland waterways of the world.
I bought a Southerly 95 because the southerlies have a retractable keel enabling them to stay afloat in very shallow water (55cm) or even to run aground and wait for the tide to come back up! Perfectly at home on the high seas, a drying harbour or inland rivers and canals.
Join us on this exciting adventure and let’s see where our dreams will take us.
    Welcome aboard!

Thank's Miles! I've almost finished editing #4 so that will be ready for next week! I pondered long and hard about the content, commentary and music... I'm no expert at this! Can you tell me which parts you thought were strong against the parts not so strong? It might help me out some! Cheers, Brian.

@@svminuet I have enjoyed all you videos, I am sure it takes a lot of time to edit them. I like the commentary and the music, very good job. Maybe you can comment, or describe the area and places you visit, such as the town you stop at . Once again, thank you from the states for your great videos.

Thanks for your comment, I'm doing more of that kind of thing at the moment so that could be very interesting. During our trip I was so preoccupied with looking after Les that sometimes I forgot, or didn't even feel like commenting whilst videoing... I'll put a bit more commentary in these next few videos. thanx again, Brian.

@@svminuet I understand. I was very sorry about Les passing. He was looked like he was having a good time. He was also fortunate to have you as a friend.

Very informative, and enjoyable video, looking forward to the one next week. One question, did you have any problems with the weed being sucked into the raw water intake

Hi there, yes, I did a few times in the north of Brittany. They were working frantically to clear the weeds in fairness. The other problem was weed cuttings gathering in a lock. I became hyper aware of a change of note coming from the exhaust…. When it starts to sound like a mini digger stop the engine PDQ! Lol, Thanks for your comment. Brian.
