I will probably never own something that expensive although I'd love too . So unfortunately I'm just here watching as every video but yeah I'd say ur answering ppl questions ,. Great job medic
One day when I win the lottery I'll use all this knowledge to build my kit. This is the best place that I have found for rc content. Watched every second of the build to learn more about the hobby and the way it all works thanks
Now all you need for this unit are some of the Hydraulic accessories that can be run from the lines on the end of the boom. perhaps a Jackhammer tool, or Earth tamper, perhaps even a tree cutter with grappling claws and electric saw. there are so many accessories that you could literally build yourself! Get yourself a thumb for your bucket first thing, all it is, is a hydraulic claw that mounts opposite the bucket and when I was driving those tings we used it for removing giant boulders that were too big to be handled by bobcats or front end loaders. That "thumb" is also excellent for locking other loose accessories inside the bucket at night time so that they couldn't be stolen without them first having to break into and hotwire the Trackhoe itself! This is super cool, I just came into these videos today, so I haven't heard how much these things cost, but I can imagine they are a few thousand bucks, considering that they are basically functioning trackhoes the only thing that could make it more original is to put a scaled hown diesel engine and attach the hydraulic pump to the engine with w functioning PTO! Does anyone make a scale diesel engine this size? That would be so awesome if there were!!!! even a micro gas engine would awesome, for that matter! this is the ultimate toy for a grown man, and even more so for a man who used to operate trackhoes or maybe still does. I know a number of guys who could beat or at least contend with the Guiness Book of World records when it comes to doing things with a track hoe. I know one guy who could scape the dirt out of the box of a dump truck without ever scratching metal against metal and damaging the Dump Truck Box. This would be the best toy to get them for a birthday or a retirement day!!!! How much are these things?
Hi, medic, After watching Project Johnson I wanna buy an excavator for myself, but I'm confused!!! Can you Do a comparison video of Komatsu,rc4wd’s 4200xl and the CAT 374 F On the basis of digging power, speed, lifting power and details. Hit the like guys and show medic we want to see a comparison video
I am very interested in the electronics. This is the part of RC that intimidates me. The more you explain it, the better I understand. It's going take me a while!
I, for one, enjoy watching and learning about how to hook up the electronics. Thank you for sharing. I can only dream, of having anywhere near the skills, to put together a kit like that. You are one talented guy.
Electronic vids maybe boring and suck but your advice and ideas are priceless. You've taught me alot when it came to wiring up accessories and receiver setup!. You are the man bruh!
I absolutely love watching the electronics being talked about and/or installed. Mechanical theory is awesome and somewhat easy. Electrical theory, I feel, is misunderstood and that's why I love watching you do or talk about the electronics of the rc.
I say when you demonstrate your electronics on how you connected your wires shows me an the most efficient way of how to connect wires but honestly I have never built any epic builds like you have been showing on RUclips an I loved watching your overkill build
You said if we have any questions, just ask in the comments. The only question I have is...... Can I have that? LOL. Great job my friend and I cannot wait to see it on the gold mine.
It would take be a WEEK to set up and learn all of the controls! But hey, sit in a lawn chair and move dirt or dig a hole? Yeah, ;cause 'Merica. Here, hold my beer.
Awesome bit of gear, don’t know what ya hourly rate is to bolt her together, but I reckon she’s worth every cent and looking forward to seeing her pull her weight .
As for mixing the channels you sir just showed me how to fix 2 of my hydraulic machines. Thank you for taking the time to show how to mix the channels.
I am still watching and all of your explanation is super helpful to me, so I can understand it and kind of make up a kind of PCB in my head. Thanks, don't stop explanating something that you don't normally do or if it is something that is unusual that you normally wouldn't do. That way everyone knows that the reason why you're covering it is because it is something that you morally don't do, or have etc. Great videos, I watched them all!!!
Love the detail, especially on the electronics and mixing. Not everyone is experienced on all aspects and something like this is very helpful for beginners getting started.. Love it.
Great vid! Some (most) people will never do anything as complicated as this rig. I'm glad you showed the connections and the mixing. Great information and helps fuel my plan and build for a TRX10 recovery tow truck. Keep them coming!
I watch the whole thing keep it up. Us real RC guys want to know it all not just paint and body guys here. I watch start to finish o matter if its a repeat or not. Its how I learn seeing it over and over.
Loved this build series, just started on my LESU 374 right before episode 3 came out. Had to get one after watching the first episode. Have been wanting one since they came out. Was great to see how everything went together before i started on mine. Thanks for the great.build videos.
Dude, stop worrying about what people think. I find your electrics tuition excellent, its certainly not boring, if it wasn't for people like you and me then folks would never know how to do this... great job Medic... 👍 Oh, the electrical contact between the top and bottom is called a 'slip ring" and the hydraulic tank should be filled with all rams closed ... 😊
Your videos are terrific! I think you are one of the best RUclipsrs of any genre out there - and I watch a lot of RUclips of various genres (cars, watches, aircraft, independant journalism, sports, other RC channels, etc. etc. ). Even after all this time, your content has not become fake and 'slick' -it's obviously YOU posting for US. Which was the original magic of RUclips, and which is starting to fade unforunately. Cheers from Tokyo brother!!!! Keep it up, there is a reason why 3m peeps are with you. It's called honesty.
Waving to you from Wester Canada, BCD! Thank you for taking a moment to recognize. I have a lot of pride in the show, and glad to know the message is still clear and being enjoyed. Really cool :)
Hi. Love watching your videos, (you may not know it) but right now you are a way of escape from life, even if it's only a 10min video. Hope you all staying well and safe.
I don’t own any rc vehicles but I always enjoy seeing the new stuff you get and use. I watched the wiring didn’t know much but really interesting for me
I think it’s nice you give an overview of all your work an the explanation of each component and function. awesome job. Can’t wait to see the performance of this beast👍😃
Min 6.29 I watch all your vids from start to end and I love all this side as this is the side no one talks about enough for me as I have autism so seeing some one do it allows me to really understand it so keep doing it As it is very helpful and not silly or a waste of time thanks for your vids thay are fun to watch
Course I'm still watching I watch everything. I don't comment to a lot of it because I watch it on my shop TV not my phone. I very much love all of the technical information you give in your videos. Thank you for all of the fun entertainment over the years.
Yes of course I'm still watching...I asked u to show everything....I hate electronics but always good to learn more ...thank man....build looks amazing
Well bigger is always better. I love the red color and it makes a statement in the room. Snarly by comparison to the other. Super mining equipment on the mine site. Now you need the D11 dozer that's 100+ pounder. With a bigger mine come bigger equipment to handle the larger amount of pay. Great job on the build, my favorite to date!❤️
Keep up the good work on the videos man. No problem in explaining your work for others to understand or refresh knowledge on. The size of that unit is impressive.
I wouldn't say this was useful for any of my builds, but I still enjoyed watching very much so! I still love learning about it. But then again maybe I have a bias opinion. I've been watching for many years now haha!!
Thank you for sharing the practice of unplugging the power wire from the pwm cable of any additional escs. I’ve seen too many guys on trail and comp crawlers leave them in and then have malfunction or failure of a receiver or servo. It’s a simple trick if you have more than 1 esc or if you have an external bec powering the rx vs direct to servo.
It looks amazing Great job. Even though I am not building one of these excavators the wiring and mixing information is very valuable and can be applied to different models. I appreciate the extra effort you put in to explaining this. Thanks from a 3 year follower who watches every minute of every video.
Yes, I loved all of the detail shop talk with the making of this! For doing work like repairing that one ram, if you don't already have one you should look into getting a "third hand" device. You could look at DigiKey.com or Adafruit .com, either place will have good quality ones to choose from. Though given the typical SIZE of your work, I'd suggest getting one that has longer reaching arms. Still absolutely lovin' this build! I'm moving on to watching the next in the series to see this Johnson in action. Lol, can't wait!

The whole electronics and programming is the main reason why I dont even bother starting with such a build. Im having enough problems changing the channel on my tv. So this is blowing my mind. Watched the whole video nontheless.

I have a 954 and an 870K. I am going to try and mix the 870 pump using the help you show in this video so I am very thankful! Love you stuff.
Amazing detail on the electronics. I really liked how you described everything. Thank you!
I watched everything and stayed focused through the wiring explanation. Absolute genius with all the wiring. Love the video.
I will probably never own something that expensive although I'd love too . So unfortunately I'm just here watching as every video but yeah I'd say ur answering ppl questions ,. Great job medic
Agreed
Same lol
Same here guys, still cool to see even if I can't get one.

I work on heavy equipment at a coal mine. I really enjoy the electronics videos. You're speaking my language.

You should get an award for the logistics of the hydraulics, wiring and radio setup to effort
Gotta love the enduendoes.
I can’t wait to see her in action.
That's what I've been saying for years. No luck.
innuendos.* ;)
This is why I subscribed 10 years ago. I love the details that help anyone from making the same mistakes.
Iron man colors are pretty cool! Can’t wait to see this rig at the mine site!!
This should have a spot on RUclips Rewind. Nice colour choice.
The new big red is my favorite
Man i watch every part of every video you make. None are boring. Information can always be used elsewhere if not on rcs.
I'm still watching. I learn something each time i watch. I always say, "If you pay attention, you can learn something new every day." Tell Morris. lol
Maurice is currently learning "A job worth doing, is a job worth doing Properly".. Lol (Thanks DAD!)
I am very interested in the electronics. This is the part of RC that intimidates me. The more you explain it, the better I understand. It's going take me a while!
If you have any questions, Im always happy to help :)
That's the second biggest Johnson I've seen today!! Great job medic!
