** Why Do We Hunt Hogs? **
Feral hogs are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of diseases and injury to livestock.
Feral hogs compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes.
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.

** Why do we hunt coyotes? **
Coyotes are presently the most abundant livestock predators in western North America, causing the majority of sheep, goat, and cattle losses. For example, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service, coyotes were responsible for 60.5% of the 224,000 sheep deaths attributed to predation in 2004.The total number of sheep deaths in 2004 comprised 2.22% of the total sheep and lamb population in the United States, which, according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service USDA report, totaled 4.66 million and 7.80 million heads respectively as of July 1, 2005. Because coyote populations are typically many times greater and more widely distributed than those of wolves, coyotes cause more overall predation losses. The United States government agents routinely shoot, poison, trap, and kill about 90,000 coyotes each year to protect livestock.
Coyotes typically bite the throat just behind the jaw and below the ear when attacking adult sheep or goats, with death commonly resulting from suffocation. Blood loss is usually a secondary cause of death. Calves and heavily fleeced sheep are killed by attacking the flanks or hindquarters, causing shock and blood loss. When attacking smaller prey, such as young lambs, the kill is made by biting the skull and spinal regions, causing massive tissue and bone damage. Small or young prey may be completely carried off, leaving only blood as evidence of a kill.
In the absence of hunting pressure practiced by rural people, urban coyotes are losing their fear of humans, which is further worsened by people intentionally or unintentionally feeding coyotes. In such situations, some coyotes have begun to act aggressively toward humans, chasing joggers and bicyclists, confronting people walking their dogs, and stalking small children. Non-rabid coyotes in these areas sometimes target small children, mostly under the age of 10, though some adults have been bitten.

I am a ex farmer there eat most of my corn 🌽 I ad no corn that year to feed my animal i ad to buy corn / please don't stop hunting them
They have the right to live just as we are. It doesn’t know you had to buy your corn and suffer from financial losses. It just lives. And i wish humans would just live and care less about money. Money is evil

@@oscarspark2396 life is survival of the fittest. Pigs want to eat food that we need and they are our competition. We kill them because it's us vs them. There's no happy land where everyone gets their way. Humans are the literal top of the food chain so we write the rules. Next time cockroaches infest your house, just let them live because they need food too! Feral hogs are nothing more than huge cockroaches for farmers... Only feral hogs do WAY more damage than cockroaches could ever dream of doing.
@@oscarspark2396, they’re an invasive species, not native to the area, and there aren’t (enough) predators to keep their numbers in check.
@@oscarspark2396 , great, how about you round them all up, put them on your land, construct robust fences so they can't get out and, grow food for them or pay for their food? I didn't think so. When the money comes out of your own pocket is when you finally realize how invasive this species has become. These farmers have suffered greatly from damaged crops, etc. We all end up paying for these vermin in one form or another with higher food costs, etc. It's a shame we have to do it but, it has to be done.

These hogs have invaded suburban areas and are working into the inner cities in Texas. I live in the Houston city limits, and I see them in neighborhoods and running our bayous. I wish there was a more state and publicly supported eradication effort.
When we left North Hollywood which is a part of the Shity of Los Angeles in April of last year coyotes were getting to be a ‘Big’ problem.
Several people on our street lost cats and small dogs to them and the City wouldn’t do anything. One poor women at the end of the next block north of us found the remains of three dogs in her back yard, the problem was she didn’t own any animals, the coyotes were using the quiet of her back yard for dining. We were located five miles north of Universal Studios and it was a very urban environment but because we had the bleeding heart animal lovers who couldn’t stand to see any ‘Poor’ creature being killed nothing was being done except for the rare capture and release which just meant that the animal would be back soon. California really clamped down on hunting and control of pest type animals and as a result of that, the on going drought and dwindling natural game for these pest to feed on they’re looking to the cities for their new food supply. Sure glad I now live in a place where dangerous animals can be swiftly dealt with.
Está bola de cazadores pendejos deberían de regalar agentes necesitada que no tiene nada que comer me refiero a los jabalís
Geez! Seeing them spread out in that field! It's like 100 lbs roaches.
I think there should be a place that farmers can donate spoiled corn and food products so it can be used for bait then surround it with Claymores with a remote detonator once you see a couple hundred set them off and repeat as many times as possible free pork fertilizer even better coyote bait
I'm liking where you're going with this. Nice. Bigger. Bigger is better. I'm thinking A-10 strike on baited field. AND an AC-130 gunship!! With thermite rounds for family fun. Oh yeah, this'll be great. Turn those liberals around.
Nice video. For the next one suggestion are: maw deuce, mini .30, several claymores in a kill zone, tannerite. This is eradication, not hunting. Pull out all the stops😀
2.5k dislikes are 2.5k people that don't know jack about the hog problem. Texas has removed all hunting license and methods requirements to try and cut down the numbers. I have 100 acres and these swine push out all the native species and multiply faster than you can take them out. This work has to be done. They have upset the balance and drastic measures need to be taken to control them. Kudos to these guys for humanely taking them out.
I appreciate the silencing shots. A good hunter takes care to finish it quickly.
It amazes me that people don't use these sights to search for bigfoot, it would at least put the subject to bed once and for all. Fantastic visual s.

jay morris yeah, put the subject to bed...by taking a dirt nap, that is.

Hm. Rewatching these videos just to remember how destructive non-native animals can be when they escape into the wild and into the environment, and how much a pest they can become. Reminds me of a girl I met back in college who was crying about stray cats who got euthanized in the nearby humane society. She started screaming and saying that they're "gifts to the world and native to these lands" even after I explained that, no, they aren't and have caused the extinction of over 13 species of bird since being introduced to North America, and likely more since there are small animals as well to consider, and cats also tend to kill for fun. Reminds me of another video a few years ago, that was shown on the news about some idiot throwing an invasive trout species that were fished out of a lake, the fisherman was paid to remove them, back in to the lake, and then wondering why he was being arrested and that it was unjust. It's just like people who plant trees everywhere, not understanding that ice ages can occur from wildfires having more foliage to burn through, causing smoke to block out sunlight causing mass extinction events from the inhalation of the smoke and plants being unable to grow without sunlight. "Environmenalists" and "Naturalists" are so heavily misinformed and so easily manipulated.
L'amalgame avec les arbres plantés est juste du gros délire ! Le reste peut se comprendre.

I know this is a weird question to ask on a hunting video but what is a good recipe for hogs. Thanks
Anything you make from store bought pork you can do with wild pork. Make certain you cook it thoroughly.
Dress them out then salt and cure them for a few days. Place them in a cold smoker a month or longer.
BBq ribs are good, tenderloin, sausages, so much there that is of use.
Homemade sausage. I have a great Italian recipe and even soak the casings and then hang the links and give them a light smoke. All the relatives reap the benefits during Christmas.
Not a weird question. To begin with comes the dressing/butcher process. You will have a variety of cuts available to you.
You looking for long term? Think curing the hams so they can last you a year or more. Babyback/short/st louis cut, several rib selections.
Pork chops, loins and even more. Take some time and look it up if you plan to do it yourself. Oooh.. bacon, pork belly.. cant forget that!
As far as recipe's there is a vast amount. What do you like
What type and caliber of weapons are used? Amazing marksmanship!
