Hello, I currently have EHV should I still fill out an application for HUD? I'm homeless, physically Disabled and I have a child. And I'm not getting any help finding a place

I've already mailed in my Section 8 application in August of 2020 here in Las Vegas, NV. I did not state on there 2 other conditions I've been diagnosed with since, which is PTSD and Degenerative Disc Disease, or DDD. So how do I proceed to let them know of this to add to my application? Thanx❤
@@Section8Consulting I have had alot if breathing problems. Still under onocolgy care. Just slot of fatigue. Whether that is from chemo or not I don't know.
The verification process of all information given (I am in new york city) to find not embelished...what is that like? What do they verify stringently? I'm not saying I would plan on embellishing anything, but what if someone were to provide false documentation? Or get something "signed" by a doctor confirming claims?
They have limited resources and a lot of what they ask is yiuo self reporting.The only way to mess this up is if there is a record of making a lot of money , publicly available lease showing you rent 3000.00 a month apartment in YOUR name, or medical records showing your ready join the Navy Seals and have no medical problems. There's no reason embellish anything when a simple low paid councilor at any free clinic can vouch that your homeless, money less and have metal problems.

Hi Mr. Jay, I'm a new subscriber, I wanted to ask is it acceptable to have a State Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor fill out the HUD Verification of Disability on my behalf if my Dr is uncomfortable even after we have had a discussion? and would the COC accept it?
@@Section8Consulting Mr. Jay, I just heard from the Virginia Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor that I had provided me with a Schedule A letter to submit with my federal employment application verifying that I have a disability, but she told me that she could not fill out the HUD form, that a Dr would need to do it. I will set up an appt to consult with you and I understand that it will be 7 days out from the time I make the appt. I look forward to speaking with you. Psalms 20:18 By Consultation Plans will Succeed, and By Skillful direction wage your war. I have faith that with your wisdom, knowledge, as a Subject Matter Expert that I will be able to secure subsidized housing.
Question: Can I get the disability deduction if i am already a Section 8 client. If so how? Thank you for this information. I had no idea that this was a thing and that being by myself with no dependents, I most likely could have gotten this deduction all along. I thought you would have to be on SSI or SSDI. Thank you for the information.
@@Section8Consulting for some reason, I thought they subtract a set amount for minor dependents or those with disabilities when figuring the HAP payment. I'm pretty sure I am confused. lol
What would I do in the case of my son having the disabilities to obtain housing? He has been newly diagnosed epileptic, has a brain injury, & had a stroke.
The process is the same , however your score for getting housing would be at very top due to his condition's. COCs and HUD are designed with the disabled in mind .

Is it best to download CoC disability form and have the doc sign that or have a doctor write a personal letter to CoC saying I have a disability?
Get the form from a COC then bring it to your DR.

My cancer is in remission for about 4 years. Can I still be considered disabled?

If your still seeing a oncologist,you more than meet the HUD definition of disability.
