- I keep forgetting to mention weight. This guitar weighs in at 9.2 pounds. I'd really like to get down to 8.5 pounds so need to start figuring out where to shave weight. Also new music this week from RUclips land resonator players.

It’s amazing that so much work can be done in one week.
Right? Why does it take you so long to make a knife anyway 🤣. My wife was asking the other day how we get on the list to buy a Slavik knife (probably to send to my son since he likes them so much). They are a true work of art that I probably can't afford though.
Loving the details…looking forward to playing that beauty.
I cant wait to hear the copper and brass ones!
Good work. Looking forward to the copper and related alloys!
You and me both!
Very cool! Great work James, I am looking forward to our visit as well. I told you that grease would get everywhere. LOL
Lol, It was worth it... probably!
Absolutely beautiful 😍 Question: How do you keep the guitar from rusting? Can galvanized steel be used?
Thanks for the inspiration. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks for watching!
Great work! As for the binding? seems to my logic, you'll need to bead roll a channel for it to sit in. Do they sell different solder, that matches the brass? Anyways, it's gonna be cool.
They make copper brazing rods which I'm hoping match the copper. I'm assuming they make brass brazing rods also but I haven't started trying to figure all that out yet. Good thinking on the bead roll for binding, but I already tested bead rolling a channel and failed so I'm on plan C or G or something now.
Amazing work, what a beautiful guitar. What kind of screws are you using to attach the cover plate? Self tapping? Are you going to demo the pickup, would be great to hear it.
They are pickguard screws, the same things I use on strats and telecaster to attach pickguard to wood body.
Another great video. Might be good to take a look at some vintage National guitars,
I think most have a slightly tapered side.

Hmmm.... where's my Michael Messer login info 😁
Maybe next time brass side markers? Thanks for the adventure!
Dangit! How'd I miss that detail, I even have the stuff to do it. Oh well.
Gottfried David is not only a great artist but also builds great resonators👍🏽
Wait... seriously? He may have mentioned that, I'm getting all the email people confused with comment people. I can't keep it all straight. Where can I see his resonators?
Check out his instagram👍🏽
What part of Oregon will you be at?
You are an inspiration to all who have tried and failed. Perserverance eventually wins the day! Excellent music and well placed in your very clear videos.
Thank you so much!
Oh yeah have you ever checked out Krivo pick ups? He's doing some great things.
Great work - lovely-looking guitar. And some really nice music too. Apart from anything else, this channel is becoming the go-to place for reso music!
Tricone next!
Not yet. I really want to gain understanding of how different metals sound. Probably going to be single cones for a while until I can understand the nuances.
@@Ninety2guits That’s a shame, but excellent work documenting the process regardless. Subscribed for more. You’ve also inspired me to get a Buc-ee’s t shirt.
Thanks for the sub. Tri-cone is coming just not in the next few months.
Great News!!! Just watched the whole thing! Good for you finishing (truss Rod Cover!!) the guitar before moving on.
love the brass on the tailpiece! can't wait for the copper and brass build to start! 🤘👍
Tailpiece looks cool with the copper behind it ! Great job all-round !!
Love the Copper and brass idea, can't wait to see them
