Thanks for being here! You might notice that Episode 6 and the Epilogue are mysteriously missing. Red Dead Redemption 2 (Part 2) will go live on 1st September. It’s 2 and a half hours long. Thanks for your patience 👊
I like how you guys made a not of Arthur's art skills. On AO3 (a fanfiction website) there's actually a pretty good story where he started to his art and manages to buy the gang their freedom. It's call "the future will take care of itself" by Adjourn.
It started off a tad rocky, but Neil absolutely found his stride with the character impressions lol. His Trelawney and Sean Maguire are especially good. And him delivering some of the game's more cold-blooded lines sounds great to me ear. Can't wait for Part 2!
Gotta say, I am such a massive fan of Neil’s voices and theatrical style of storytelling! Absolutely stellar job my dude, I am completely floored by your talent.
@@LoreDump Absolutely, any time my man, you did a truly phenomenal job!!! You clearly put so much work into this, and it really really paid off! I’m stoked for the next episode :)
The whole "how are they drinking Whiskey straight from the bottle" thing, is that, up until the Prohibition Era, Americans drank about 6-8 GALLONS of pure alcohol per year, as opposed to the qbout 2 gallons per year that modern America does, because it was a reliable source of liquid. Water was not everywhere, nor was it always clean when you found it, and while other products like milk and juice did exist, juice was pretty expensive to make and neither juice nor milk kept very well outside of refrigeration, which was pretty rare at the time. So they were more used to strong liquor than the average person today, American or otherwise.
2:04:46 As someone who’s worked with burlesque performers and as a dancer on occasion in the past, I just wanna say, thank you very much, Monty and Noobus, for being enthusiastic and lovely audience members! It genuinely means a great deal. A couple nice audience members can mean the difference between a good, and a horribly awkward night of work. Bless y’all
one of my favorite little connections people noticed in this game is the fact that the camp's loan shark is named Leopold Strauss, which is the same name of the CEO of Take 2 interactive (owners of Rockstar), who has made some less favorable comments on his desire to 'monetize gamers' more
Dude. Neil. Mate. You did such a great job. Your Dutch impression in particular REALLY drove it home. Some of the lines spoke in this game are just so poetic and cold, and your production of them took me right back to standing with the Van Der Linde gang through heart and hardship. Like seriously was welling some tears during some of these moments. I can't wait to watch the next one.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one :D Also: your MGS LoreDump saga was a true lifesaver on my recent long drive to Denmark. Had a great time listening to all the hijinks and laughing to myself in the car lol. Thank you, lads :)
My personal favorite side missions are the false circus animals and Arthur helping the widow survive in the woods. I especially love playing as John and meeting her later to talk about Arthur. Also Neil, I think your Hosea impression was awesome. 👍
I'm greatly enjoying Neil's turn in the chair! RDR is such an amazing but super melancholy series. Looking forward to more. I really hope he covers Undead Nightmare after the first game. Its wild.
I came into lore dump through kh so I always loved Neil. Watching the resE and metal gear vids feels wrong without him. Its so great to see him come into his own hosting. Yours truly- one of Neil's five fans
Btw, the train robbery (with John, Charles, Sean) was based on a lead from Mary-Beth. She's the one who sussed the lead out and thought that this is something we can do. John only really came up with the oil wagon bit. So the whole robbery wasn't quite his operation 100% lol
For some reason, I completely missed this dump til now! Thanks so much for the shoutout of the Tee. Glad you like it, and hope everyone else does too! Great episode. Congrats to Neil for the spot in the chair. Happy juicin!
I think this one has become my favorite lore dumps ever so chaotic and so many hilarious facts also i love the ARE YOU LOOKING UP FACTS at the beginning
Love this channel , i can easily see this being one of the best lore dumps on YT and with y'all chemistry i see it being number 1 . adult juice played a small part in this comment lol
1:19:00 My favorite part of the Sean rescue is that Javier rode down with Trelawny, and said he talked the whole way down, and then got sent back to camp with Sean.
So glad that Neil gets a turn with story time! The voices he's doing are really excellent, definitely adds to the gravitas of some of those amazing lines :3
I can't even begin to tell someone how much I love this game without getting emotional. This game means everything to me. From its gorgeous open world, fun as hell game play, amazing attention to detail and stellar characters there is so much to absolutely love about this cinematic gaming masterpiece. I wish Chase could see this game the way the rest of the group does but I understand this game isn't for everyone. Just wild to me how no one could be captivated by the majesty of RDR2
If I may just say, all of your voices are just dreamy. And the way each of you have handle talking about game, while different are each amazing. This has quickly became my favourite channel.
15:40 Fun cowboy fact: the Old West that most American's know is via cowboy media does not accurately reflect the true history of the Old West. Apparently the Old West was very diverse and had a lot of what we might define as queer inhabitants, including poetry loving gay cowboys! Kaz Rowe's "Exploring the Queer History of the Old West... Yeehaw" is highly recommended for those who want to learn more about the queer side of Old West! For the record I'm team cowboys AND pirates haha Why not have both???
I love how Chase is shocked by two things that RDR 1 did first: "1899 is like really late for Cowboys right?" And the fact that the Stallions have balls lmao. Also I'm sad that Neil left out the best part of the LENNY stuff. Upstairs when first looking for him, you can stumble in on a couple having sex and Arthur will apologise and leave. If you go back when walking around drunkenly, the couple will still be having sex, will both look at the door and they will both be Lenny, they'll scream and Arthur will scream in terror and run out of the room in horror. 10/10 mission
I honestly love this series, and I especially loved this episode so much. Neil did an amazing job recapping the story so far and to end it where he did was perfect. Looking forward to the next part.
Loved having Neil in the hot seat this episode! Unfortunately, unlike the other games, I've never played Red Dead and kept getting lost in the names... So for anyone like me: I put together a list of all the important characters, in alphabetical order, based on what they're most likely referred to as, with non-spoiler details. My favorite side missions: Jeremiah Compson, Albert Mason, Hamish, Mr. Black and Mr. White (the missions+ the final encounter with em on the far east side of the map), the two Brothers who try to woo the lady, helping with the construction of the electric chair
Relating to Chase here - I was also looking up this game to buy at the same point he was lol. It's not enough to HEAR about burning down the racists' house
I found yall channel yesterday and I love your guys commentary and dialogues! I’m scared I’m gonna finish all your episodes at work by the end of the month 😅😒
Being not much of a gamer but a lover of gaming stories and from Canada’s cowboy country (yes we have one too, we share a border guys) it’s pretty great to get a chance to get my favourite Lore Dump crew explaining the Yeehaw Game
I was also obsessed with pirates as a kid. Did you guys know that pirates were known to eat in the dark, because their food was generally scrounged and not up to health standards, and they didn’t want to be able to see the rot and/or maggots in it?
Thank you for explaining. When I saw the name come up as 2 I was frantically scrolling through RUclips and Spotify to make sure I didn't miss the first one somehow. Love and appreciate all of the work and time you all put into these. ❤
One thing I think could have been better is showing them some of the motion capture motions from certain scenes. Like when Arthur is like: “Wtf Dutch?????” When he confronts Cornwall and when Micah shrugs his shoulders before collapsing. I feel like that is very important.
In the US I grew up watching westerns with my Dad, and now I still do and really like the newer Western movies. I've always liked how this game brought that US history to others around the world, even if it isn't 100% accurate, the outlaw/gunslinger culture was a real thing and as I got older I try not to romanticize it but just treat it as fascinating history that is unique to the West of US. PS: The real world character references are also top notch, there's Abraham Lincoln, Nikola Tesla, Bass Reeves(Sheriff in Tumbleweed), and so many others. Rockstar really went all out and this game is a timeless masterpiece.
Fun cowboy drinking fact: The wild west was the first great era of the cocktail. If people were going to bars and drinking they would be drinking things like the Old Fashioned not rotgut from the bottle.
1:36:15 I know I’m kinda just chugging along adding comments as I go and I hope that’s not annoying, but as a blue collar pro union person, the instant “Pinkerton” got mentioned Kill Bill sirens went off and I really appreciate that Monty appears to have the same opinion. AKA the correct opinion.
You know, I would be down for a Subnautica lore dump episode if you all decided to record one :p Between this and Subnautica, that's a good pair of games I've never gotten around to for lack of time and focus. And hey! Not quite pirates, but it's on the ocean, yeah?
I think it's very interesting that many of the things he did in his playtrhough were choices that he didn't even know were optional. Like helping the man with the stray horsr or going to ser Mary.
I've been wanting to hear what Neil sounds like in the chair, and Red Dead is really cool, so this is a win-win for home. Hope you guys do Undead Nightmare at some point!
Bill williamsons first name isn’t bill. Bill comes from Williamson. His first name is Marion. I just learned this after 3 playthroughs cuz I’ve never heard this conversation before between him and Micah
Look, I can't ask for much in this life, but at this point, if either of the upcoming KH games have a Pirates of the Caribbean world again, I need Chase or Monty to just have a list of Pirate facts that get brought up everytime there is a moment of silence during that world.
I recently uninstalled it on my PC to make more space, hearing the Lore Dump of it makes me want to reinstall it! Neil's fantastic on the chair, can't wait for part 2!
XD Chase getting called out for never finishing a game feels TOO REAL! Y'all got me playing kingdom hearts again and now I wanna stop that so I can play this game again. I never got more than like a third way through the main quest... I got distracted with hunting legendaries and rare horses... Edit to add: the time traveler was honestly my fave supernatural side quest!
Thanks for being here! You might notice that Episode 6 and the Epilogue are mysteriously missing.
Red Dead Redemption 2 (Part 2) will go live on 1st September. It’s 2 and a half hours long. Thanks for your patience 👊

The AO3 bit BROKE ME, it still shocks me anytime someone outside tumblr talks outloud about fanfiction, love it. GOOD FOR YALL, LOVE THIS CHANEL
It started off a tad rocky, but Neil absolutely found his stride with the character impressions lol. His Trelawney and Sean Maguire are especially good. And him delivering some of the game's more cold-blooded lines sounds great to me ear.

Thank you pal, your comments are always appreciated!- Neil
@@LoreDump Absolutely, any time my man, you did a truly phenomenal job!!! You clearly put so much work into this, and it really really paid off! I’m stoked for the next episode :)
Never thought Neil would be the one to hold the others hostage while explaining the games he's played.
the irony of them talking about a daddy in each episode while they slowly become a communities three gay dads.
48:38 The funniest part of that mission is when Uncle says "They called me the 1 shot kid" and Arthur goes "I'm not gonna ask why."
I've missed the phrase "adult juice"

A NEW SEASON OMG OMG OMG. YUP GONNA LISTEN TO THIS WHILE WORKING

"Listen, Monty, I have a plan-"

Thought of a lore dump for assassin's Creed
My favorite side missions: Jeremiah Compson, Albert Mason, Hamish, Mr. Black and Mr. White (the missions+ the final encounter with em on the far east side of the map), the two Brothers who try to woo the lady, helping with the construction of the electric chair
Seconding Hamish, and tacking on Charlotte Belfour
I really like the lion tamer missions.
@@qrowing ah ofc, Charlotte!! I knew I was forgetting something
Can you guys cover the Payday series?
Edit: NAH SUBNAUTICA HES RIGHT.
Arkham lore dump or the evil within lore dump when?
Also the point where Neil nearly walked into a spoiler when tried to joke about swimming was great :D
Good catch- I do that a couple of times!
not sure Cornwall is so much an antagonist, more that he is being antagonized the whole game 🤣
1:15:48 Thomas Downes was also the one trying to stop Arthur beating that guy in the street up.
Relating to Chase here - I was also looking up this game to buy at the same point he was lol. It's not enough to HEAR about burning down the racists' house
Glad to know you guys are psychics and uploaded this 10 minutes before RDR1 got a launch trailer for the switch
I found yall channel yesterday and I love your guys commentary and dialogues! I’m scared I’m gonna finish all your episodes at work by the end of the month 😅😒
Hi me again, the snips of "fun facts" are hilarious
Being not much of a gamer but a lover of gaming stories and from Canada’s cowboy country (yes we have one too, we share a border guys) it’s pretty great to get a chance to get my favourite Lore Dump crew explaining the Yeehaw Game
I was also obsessed with pirates as a kid. Did you guys know that pirates were known to eat in the dark, because their food was generally scrounged and not up to health standards, and they didn’t want to be able to see the rot and/or maggots in it?
Neil's in the chair! Yay! More Neil!
"Oh just wait, we came around on Riku." That sent me on a whole internal rabbit hole of Lore Dump memories.
Three and a half hours, oh am i strapped in
Great timing, I'm about to re-play RDR2, so it'll be nice to go in with a context refresher.
2:00:00 These are called "Strangers and Freaks" iirc. At least I think that's what it was in the first game, dunno if they changed it for the second.
I loved the pirate fact bit, and the fact that it had its own music and graphic ❤
2:43:45 - Just remember this is the timeline where you're not Spiderman
Kicking my feet as I get excited for what I'm sure is going to be another excellent writey long-long
“Tory, TORY” at Cornwall was brilliant
The song that plays while Monty and Chase are spitting random fun facts made me laugh so hard! 🤣😂
I hope you finish this, do epilogue then do RDR1
And chase thinking cursive is "bad handwriting" cuz he can't read it is painful lmao
This was well worth the wait. Can't wait for more.

I really love when they do a game that im very interested in but have never been able to commit to playing.
The “John is stupid” jokes are my favorite
I love the "Fun Facts" have jingles just to make greater interruptions.
The roanoke "Croatoan" story is one of my favorite real life horror stories
Bill williamsons first name isn’t bill. Bill comes from Williamson. His first name is Marion. I just learned this after 3 playthroughs cuz I’ve never heard this conversation before between him and Micah
Please keep up the “Facts” bits. The music instantly cracks me the fuck up haha
Neil's Arthur impersonation is delightful. 😂
Also, the music coming in whenever someone starts sharing facts cracks me up EVERY TIME.
"Arthur has been with them for almost all his life" "so it's kinda like a revolving door" okay
Y’all should do the Yakuza series next
It's in the works...God help us- Neil
XD Chase getting called out for never finishing a game feels TOO REAL! Y'all got me playing kingdom hearts again and now I wanna stop that so I can play this game again. I never got more than like a third way through the main quest... I got distracted with hunting legendaries and rare horses...
Edit to add: the time traveler was honestly my fave supernatural side quest!
I am loving Niel's voices for the characters! XD
I've missed you lads 😭🔥 Let us fucking gooooooooooooooooo!
I'm immediately in love with the facts. 😂😂😂😂
Just started listening and really looking forward to it! Good luck Neil!!
Ya' kept us waitin', but I think it'll be worth it. Can't wait to get back to this, and the conclusion later on.
21:15 Saying what people are thinking, awesome :'DD
"Who's your favorite guy?"
"Lenny"
😭😭😭
So happy to see this pop up! I can't wait for the next part! Engagement!
This may be my favorite yet. Neil did awesome.
Pirates being the best is a 10/10 take
Glad to see Niel finally get his time in the spotlight.
