6 years ago I accidentally became friends with the rich kids: I had this girl in my class(I went to a private school) and she was so RICH, but I didn't know I would go to her mansion and play with her brother, we became Best friends: we went on private jets to Italy, to the Bahamas, to bora and all the fancy places. I met so many rich kids because of her: but I never saw her as an opportunity I saw her as a friend... next year we are going to New York: to University... (if there's a small chance you see it: LOVE YOU GEORGIA!!!)

I would add that adding value to people around is key to success in any relationship you're building. Give value, you get value back. Doesn't matter if you're befriending rich, poor or purple. People want value in their lives.
@@privilegedfewproductions Could you please talk more about "value"? My mentor says this too but I really haven't grasped it. I'd really appreciate it!

Your channel taught me not only to work hard for money but how to work smart . Never stop these series. Thank you so much on guiding.
This video was super helpful because I go to a popular private university and feel weird befriending the rich kids because I don’t want to seem like an opportunist. Now I realize it doesn’t matter as long as i’m myself and don’t take it that seriously, we’re literally human beings lol.
This should be considered as a guide for major life skills necessary to navigate through your social, educational, corporate or whatever, sector you may be in, opputunies are every where, its just rich friends makes it easier to get them. so true! I also think learning activities like yachting, skiing, golf etc. will make you feel significantly more comfortable in group of rich friends (even if you only know the rules).
the skills you have mentioned are great but pricey to learn. the cheap alternatives are chess and things like understanding art and music - you can learn it for free on YT

Its interesting this lesson your brought us today. I never knew that there was a sort of je ne sais quoi to this, as I naturally have been able to connect with folks of all backgrounds, including the more financially affluent, as a foster kid and orphan. But still, I never knew why the affluent kids and their parents have always sort of taken me in and extended opportunities to me - I always just sorta figured I got lucky to come across spaces and crowds so receptive towards me.

It’s not about how much money I have but rather how well I look investing and spending it. It’s not about what you are or what you have but rather who and what you know. Amazing points all of which I agree.
I grew up as a somewhat "rich kid" (I guess idk what the cutoff for "rich" is here my dad's a doctor, was a member of a country club growing up, went to private grade school and highschool, had my public state college tuition completely covered by my parents' savings, my parents were able to help me put together a down-payment on a house at 25, so idk if that puts me in the "rich" category that we're talking about here or not) but tbh my advice if anyone ever wanted to be friends with me growing up or now is just to treat it like being friends with anyone else. I've always been happy to be friends with anyone as long as they're a chill, down-to-earth person. I never cared what walk of life any of my friends come from, but that's just me 🤷🏼♂️
when starting my online business, i needed some capital but i didnt wanted to ask from my parents so i decided to get a job, then i was marketing my tutoring skills to some of my connections who were mothers, they liked my idea and offered me that amount of capital, but i knew that im not gonna take that capital she is offering, because at start the money will definitely go futile in any business, therefore i convinced her to let me teach her kids, and thats how my money flowed to me that it was even enough for me to recover my losses.
Thanks for the advise. I'm looking forward to have a circle of people consisting of the rich and successful. Their sort of influence on you pulls you up instead of pulling you down. Do you have any advice for those of us on the Spectrum, who often have significant social difficulties and who are quite uncomfortable with meeting lots of new people and with networking? We often have a rich inner life, see things from a different perspective, have lots of ideas, etc., but that neurological social barrier, and our tendency to mask and self-protect, or appear to be "weird" when we do try to be social, results in most people never finding out that we often do have something interesting to offer. 🤔 Most success philosophy and advice seems to assume the audience is neurotypical, which makes sense because some 95% of the population is that way, but we in the other 5% also dream for wealth and success.
The being great company part is hard work though! You can’t really be normal equal friends you have to be the version of a friend they want you to be and make sure they’re always having a great time. It’s basically work that you get paid for with the opportunities/experiences
I think there is a gap between the poor and the rich. Cases when the poor become friends of the rich are rare. And there are reasons for this: different views, hobbies and a generally different life. I remember an episode from the movie “Poor Things” where the main character looks at the poor people in the abyss...
@@privilegedfewproductions I wouldn't make it a goal to befriend rich people, i prefer to befriend people i like. If they fit that i have no issue with being their friend. @@imadeyoureadthis1 Thank you for your opinion, we share it! In this video we try to convey the same idea - we do not suggest friendship for the sake of potential benefits, but rather, we offer tips on how to build friendships with wealthy people if you have a personal reason for wanting to do so. This reason could be studying at a good institute, interest in a certain sport, working in a corporate environment or in the arts. Rich people are everywhere and there is a division in society between the rich and the not, a big gap where the former and the latter are often unaware of how much they have in common. We create a bridge between these two global groups and also aim to open up the discourse on the topic of privilege in understanding it as unique characteristics that each person has to varying degrees. For example, going back to the theme of the video, you went to an Ivy League institution on scholarship, and there are a lot of great guys in your group who you want to hang out with, not because of their wealth, but because you're interested in them as people. But you and they initially have very different financial capabilities, and therefore different preferences, for example, in holidays. Therefore, our advice here is aimed at helping you find common ground with rich kids without changing yourself!
