I mentioned before ,that I recently restarted my Ebay afte after my daughter died 3 years ago. Well, I made my first sale today! It was just a book , but I'm very stocked about it!
Sooo very sorry about the loss of your daughter! ) : My greatest fear ever! ) : I am so happy you got a sale on your rebooted eBay account, though! ( :
Can’t imagine but I lost my cousin to an overdose and got diagnosed with adhd and my best friends dipped when I stopped but kissing and I started eBay it’s like having motivation again so I get the feeling the excitement you get when you make a cool find and also manage to sell it is the best. I’m sorry for your daughter don’t know if your religious but I’ll pray for you
For future reference. If you see a 4:44 handy bar. Pick it up. Those are about $30 new. What they are for is you put it in the latch inside the car door and use it to help stand up front the seat when getting out. And you can step on it for washing the top of your vehicle.
I love how when someone offers you a deal that is too good, almost to their detriment, you give them a few bucks more. Also, that you are so kind to the kids with their lemon-aide stands or baked goods you support them in their entrepreneurial endeavors. Kudos!
People are so funny about haggling...no one is forcing you to sell, if you don't like the offer, just say no. no big deal.. I agree with you, it's part of the fun. I never mind when someone makes me an offer on ebay either. I can choose to accept it or not but it never upsets me.
I have so much fun watching you yard sale. Have you considered doing a live stream and let the viewers tell you to pick up THAT item for them? You could do cost x 2 plus shipping or some such nonsense. I've seen you pass by some things that I wished you had gotten.
I love negotiating at yard sales, but I never do it in an insulting way. I always just say "would you consider...?" If not, that's fine and most people don't mind an offer. You guys do it in a very friendly way and seems like most times you don't even bargain.
Haggle, haggle and haggle that's the name of the game at yardsales! Listen, they can always say no and you've lost nothing! But mostly, who wants to put that stuff back in the garage! Get it gone, Haha 😂 ❤❣️
No kidding! You owe Kayla a sweet surprise for that! Maybe flowers, a fun planned date that she wouldn’t do, a his and her manicure pedicure night filled by dinner, then a walk on the beach, or chocolate dipped strawberries! You owe her! 😂
One of the many things I like about you both is if the seller offers a good price, you never try to haggle with them, you just pay the price or you give them more $ than they told you the total price was. Other resellers don't usually do that, it can be a good/great price and they will still ask for $1.00 or $5.00 less. You found some good buys for sure. Thanks for sharing your video with us.
That thing you did not know what it was helps with getting out of your car! You put the metal end in the metal ring in your car door frame….then you can hold onto it to help get out of the car! I had to use one when I had ankle fusion surgery!
The chest is from late 1800 -1910ish. I have the one my great grandparents came to America with back in 1907. If your gonna use it around kids install something so their fingers don't get smashed.
I have had many yard sales over the years and I agree with your comment about haggling. As long as it’s within reason. If the person has 5 dollars on something don’t try and get it for a quarter. We’ve had people do us like that so much that we don’t really want to have yard sales anymore. Y’all are usually pretty respectful with the haggling. My wife and I love watching your videos. She is a reseller as well.
I was shocked when you walked past the under the Under the counter, coffee pot Those are worth some money. Any of those under the counter products are worth good money.😅😢
When you recommend things like that, would you please leave a time stamp so people like me who want to learn can go back easily, look and know what you’re talking about? I would appreciate that greatly!
Bought an IPAD last weekend, lady said she had erased it. It was $15 so I took a chance. Got it home and you need a 4# password to get in. Apple stuff is always a pain.
I have a bunch of shirts in our eBay store that we bought and never got around to screen printing them. They are all new. Think we have 6-7 lots left if you need more.
Catch you on the next one. Goodnight God bless from me and Molly moo in a rare dry day in 🏴 Wales.Mustn’t forget sending paws from Molly moo to Willow 🐶🐾xxxx
Awesome sales this day! Many nice items for cheap! I love the chest that was old and still in great condition. I like the look inside she did a nice job even though she used cardboard. Have a fabulous rest of the week & upcoming weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
21:33 my mom used to get offended when hagglers would ask her to drop the price of her hand crafted goods such as pot holders, table runners, bird houses, etc. she already marked them at a very fair price and spent a LOT of time and money buying materials, sewing, going to shows, etc, in her 80s. So I think it is important to know how to read the room when haggling
Hand crafted stuff is a different thing because the blood and tears of finishing a project that can take hrs sometimes longer days to weeks to months to a year and the materials aren’t cheap I agree
Craft items are a little different than rummage sale items. Rummage sale items are things people usually don't want any more. Craft items people usually make to sell, yet craft items some times can be a hobby that they are trying to see a return on. Here in Michigan in the 90s craft shows were a big deal but they are now considered outdated to most.
Very few people price their handcrafted items high enough, so it seems kind of rude to haggle on those. Unless maybe it's close to the end of a bazaar or sale and you just offer to buy all that are left for one price.
I Love to haggle! whether I am buying or selling, you are right that is part of the fun in finding a treasure! Love the trunk! I got one for $5.00 at a yard sale!! keep putting out great videos!
Man, I didn’t know that church was having a yard sale. Darn, missed out! Take that back. Thought you was at a different church. We went to that one first thing. Crazy, there was a line way out in the parking lot.
I love scissors…I have an obsession for them..I really love the older ones…I have paid good money for a “ lot “ of them… you should have bought the ones on the tool table!
Those old chests make beautiful shop display pieces. Divide the inside and stand up umbrellas, posters, etc inside. Or put blankets and linens inside. Prop the lid so it can't fall shut and add a shelf in the lid to display smaller items.
Ooohhhhh y'all THAT TRUNK! I'VE WANTED ONE ALL MY 66 YEARS! I could have afforded that one but alas 😢 Yes it's very old. I wish they had yard sales like that here. God bless y'all from central Arkansas.❤
Love the plant stand. i don't like to haggle, I did it one day with an estate sale guy I deal with often on Tiffany clocks. And every once in a while at an estate sale I'll try just because I should lol
Fun video! The chest is old. The straps may be made of metal or leather. The wealthy had the curved top so no other could be stacked atop theirs on a ship, I believe. They are of value and desirable. They are great for personal use as storage for off season clothes, blankets, or seasonal items. A flat top may be used for a sofa table or next to a wall with lamp. i If using for blankets, etc they're nice at the foot of bed. They're just pretty! Kayla, your plant stand is in a perfect spot and looks great! When you buy something you like, you can always find a place for it. SS ER's a great find, too. Cat
Most people expect a little haggling as long as you don't offer a dollar for a 5 dollar item and be insulting its fine sounded like that fellow enjoyed it thanks for the video
Haggling is part of yard sales and I've never seen you offer an insulting price. When I've held yardsales some people will offer a penny when you are asking a dollar, at that point, I rather donate it. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video ❤ You picked some interesting things. I would love to do what you do, but yard sales are scarce in my area, and thrift stores are overpriced. I live vicariously through you, Matt, and, of course, Kayla.
Yard sales you're supposed to haggle or get a better deal, consignment/thrift stores u can't cause they have set/firm prices but will do discounts on certain booths...but haggling is fun to get a better deal
Plant stand or place to put stuff in your booth. Course she would put nonbreakable stuff so if something falls it doesn’t break, but that would make a good display rack.
Parking with Kayla getting out in the bush was a crack up and yes you should be embarrased with that angle parking especially coming from an Ex Policeman 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks so much for watching!!! 😊
Is the best way to reach you through email? I sent one yesterday, but not sure how often you check that. Thanks!
@@ps6675 right now - best to send through our website - the bearded thrift machine.com
What’s y’all new goal for subscribers? How high do you want to go this year?

Good for you!
Sincere condolences in the loss of your precious daughter. Healing, peace & comfort sent your way.
😂😂😂 "How am I gonna get out of this car?! You parked me in a BUSH!!" Kayla, I cant stop laughing! You made my day! 😂😂😂
I was laughing so hard. My wife and I have had that exact conversation 😂
“ you parked me in a bush” 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 You guys are the best!
I like to haggle but like you stay respectful of what they want for their items. Also love that wooden trunk it is so cool!
For future reference. If you see a 4:44 handy bar. Pick it up. Those are about $30 new. What they are for is you put it in the latch inside the car door and use it to help stand up front the seat when getting out. And you can step on it for washing the top of your vehicle.
Haggling is the point in a yardsale

$40 is a great deal.. my husband bought me one for $150. At an antique store
I like to haggle also at yard sales
I have so much fun watching you yard sale. Have you considered doing a live stream and let the viewers tell you to pick up THAT item for them? You could do cost x 2 plus shipping or some such nonsense. I've seen you pass by some things that I wished you had gotten.
hangling that's what yard sales are for, that's part of why i go ...keep it up ..we enjoy watching ya'll...thanks
Love watching you two.
I was laughing so hard when you parked Kayla in the bushes.
She did a good job getting out of the vehicle.
Great pick ups.
It's a trunk, dude. I had quite a few. One for blankets, one for quilts and one for dress up clothes.
You are always polite and handle things in the perfect way. I like both of you so much. You and another I follow all the time.
Church sales a the best! Julian, why did you park Kayla in a bush? 😂
Church sales are the best sourcing for me.
I love negotiating at yard sales, but I never do it in an insulting way. I always just say "would you consider...?" If not, that's fine and most people don't mind an offer. You guys do it in a very friendly way and seems like most times you don't even bargain.
Well said.
10:36 Kayla’s in Buying Mode 🏵️💥☀️🌈✨🌟⭐️
Haggle, haggle and haggle that's the name of the game at yardsales! Listen, they can always say no and you've lost nothing! But mostly, who wants to put that stuff back in the garage! Get it gone, Haha 😂
❤❣️
You can never have too many plant stands. I love that big chest.
U guys negotiated some great deals.
That trunk is really nice should have no problem getting 300
Love that chest!! Can’t believe you parked where Kayla had to climb through a bush 😂😂 Just teasing ya 😊
No kidding! You owe Kayla a sweet surprise for that! Maybe flowers, a fun planned date that she wouldn’t do, a his and her manicure pedicure night filled by dinner, then a walk on the beach, or chocolate dipped strawberries! You owe her! 😂
That's a nice little plant stand 😊😊
If I had a hammer , a song from the past 😊

I love the haggle 😊
25 cents!! Wowsers!
If your buying a lot of items at a sale, nothing wrong with asking if they will through something small in, makes it fun 👍💯
That thing you did not know what it was helps with getting out of your car! You put the metal end in the metal ring in your car door frame….then you can hold onto it to help get out of the car! I had to use one when I had ankle fusion surgery!
Nice finds y'all

Great finds. Lol, you parked me in a bush😂😅. God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍
18:55 there’s nothing like a Chilton to guide vehicle repair!

Bill or Phil?
Say what you will
That was a steal of a deal
Got there at the right time
So I had to rhyme
I really enjoy your takig us along on your thrifting adventures...you & Kayla are awesome. ❤ Love that treasure chest.
Bought an IPAD last weekend, lady said she had erased it. It was $15 so I took a chance. Got it home and you need a 4# password to get in. Apple stuff is always a pain.
That's the fun part, haggling!!
That Grizzlies hat looked like a possible BANGER 👀
If the buyer and the seller are in agreement. The sale is complete❤
I absolutely agree with you on haggling . It is the whole point of a yard sale
That plant stand is nice and looks great near that door
1:02 wow so many great tools!
I have a bunch of shirts in our eBay store that we bought and never got around to screen printing them. They are all new. Think we have 6-7 lots left if you need more.
Have a Blessed Week you Both
Negotiations are almost always fun. Some people are just stuck on a number and you just have to smile and walk away.
OMG ~ the "Endless Summer" hat was screaming at me to Buy It.. A Dollar?? Yes!
Catch you on the next one. Goodnight God bless from me and Molly moo in a rare dry day in 🏴 Wales.Mustn’t forget sending paws from Molly moo to Willow 🐶🐾xxxx

Yes I agree with you that most crafters only recoup a small amount over the cost of supplies.
I Love to haggle! whether I am buying or selling, you are right that is part of the fun in finding a treasure! Love the trunk! I got one for $5.00 at a yard sale!! keep putting out great videos!
Same it’s so much fun I feel like Gabriela from Xena lol
1:52 Back in the day, everything weighed a ton, so everyone was really strong.
This was a very good and fun video 😅❤
New subscribers! Enjoy watching you all!!
Great content
Big sale, potential big money!! #1 fan 😁
Man, I didn’t know that church was having a yard sale. Darn, missed out!
Take that back. Thought you was at a different church. We went to that one first thing. Crazy, there was a line way out in the parking lot.
Dang! You find the best stuff ever! Kayla is a hoot!
Shopping 🎉😊
Absolutely love the trunk!!! Sending hugs from Las Vegas To Willow 🐾
I imagine with Kayla’s sweet voice she can get good prices on anything!
I love scissors…I have an obsession for them..I really love the older ones…I have paid good money for a “ lot “ of them… you should have bought the ones on the tool table!
@dsherlockbones1 you have any surgical scissors? There are so many varieties to collect!
You guys did really well on your haul! I have to say I was so proud of you when you grabbed all the automotive books and manuals!
Those old chests make beautiful shop display pieces. Divide the inside and stand up umbrellas, posters, etc inside. Or put blankets and linens inside. Prop the lid so it can't fall shut and add a shelf in the lid to display smaller items.
Good finds
LOVE that chest. I did notice the handle was broken on the side though.
Ooohhhhh y'all THAT TRUNK! I'VE WANTED ONE ALL MY 66 YEARS! I could have afforded that one but alas 😢 Yes it's very old. I wish they had yard sales like that here. God bless y'all from central Arkansas.❤
I like those earrings
I have two of those antique chests right now Julian! My Dad had purchased them years ago.........my Dad loved antiques!!
I have one that's been waiting for years to get fixed up!
Always fun to watch your videos. Amazed at what you find.
Ask them if they’re going to mark it down
That’s to funny that he parked by that big bush and you almost couldn’t get out!!
Love the plant stand.
i don't like to haggle, I did it one day with an estate sale guy I deal with often on Tiffany clocks. And every once in a while at an estate sale I'll try just because I should lol
Haggling is fun to do and to watch you two do it!
I absolutely love your videos!
THANK YOU!
I hope you get some great things!
Your garage sales have way nicer stuff than we have at garage sales around here.
17:58 nice Dewalt radio!
Great video! Love you guys❤
That chest/trunk is probably 1880 to 1920. It looks like it used to have leather handles. You got a GREAT deal for $40!!
Fun video! The chest is old. The straps may be made of metal or leather. The wealthy had the curved top so no other could be stacked atop theirs on a ship, I believe. They are of value and desirable. FYI. That large monster truck shark (6.29 min), you can part it out if it doesn't work. The tires go for $10 a piece.
Color comfort! My favorite shirts ever!!!
You are great. Love your channel.
You can put Safety Hings on the Trunk so it doesn't Close or Hit someone 😊.
Most people expect a little haggling as long as you don't offer a dollar for a 5 dollar item and be insulting its fine sounded like that fellow enjoyed it thanks for the video

I love yard sales but i hate when items aren't marked! 😊
Believe it or not, the Dollar ($1.25) Tree sells those T-shirts as well. Same brand and everything! And they’re good quality!
Yard sales you're supposed to haggle or get a better deal, consignment/thrift stores u can't cause they have set/firm prices but will do discounts on certain booths...but haggling is fun to get a better deal
I am awake 🥰
Thank you so much I am a disabled lady and cannot move much, I just love going about with you and your wife, take care, Agnes from Scotland 🏴🌈
