33:17 I was thinking the same thing. In the hotel, Himeno made it a point that contracts with Devils were absolute as when the Devil broke its word, it would die (I think that’s what she said, I don’t remember exactly). So it seemed odd that the Fox Devil wouldn’t come when summoned. The only way I could justify it in my head was that perhaps the wording of the contract was something like, “If you call me, I’ll come if I feel like it. And if I do come, I’ll take a small portion of your body as payment.” And not only this, but the Ghost Devil refusing Himeno bothered me too. Something is inconsistent here.
Regarding Denji not having feelings, or rather, not being sad, it certainly could be that it is because a Devil is now serving as his heart. But I also feel that at a young age, his whole world fell apart on him, so having these deadened feelings is a defense mechanism. Even before this, he took things pretty stoically.

I agree! Denji for so long has been in survival mode he has not had the chance to be emotionally vulnerable. It's an interesting realization and struggle to see him acknowledge even if he doesn't understand it

It seems there are different types of contracts. Like with the Fox if Aki summons her she is owed a piece of food, depending on how hard the opponent is she has to attack, so essentially like a one time per use kind of thing, however with himeno she gave up the collateral ahead of time in her eye in order to use the ghosts hand on command whenever she wanted, which is why it actually seemed like more of a breech of contract when she refused to attack the katana man until himeno offered all of her body.

[Potential Spolier] so far Devils are shown to be capricious creatures. Like Denji's Chainsaw offered the ultimate deal of all. It's literally "just be yourself". As tight the contract could be, there would still be a cost benefit analysis for each action, depending on how the devil sees the danger. so while Himeno already has exactly a fraction of the Ghost's power as agreed upon, the Ghost devil in that moment judged that fighting the Serpent girl was just too much, which technically doesn't break the contract cos the contract was to give Himeno some power, not fight crazy sword dude or snake girl, so Himeno had to make a new contract.
