Love the build. Use what you got with in reason. Its 100% functional. Side note for anyone doing this. Never ever use galvanize metal anywhere on the build.
I've been thinking about this so your video was timely. Do you have a vent of some kind at the top to vent out the smoke? Anything to keep the air moving? Thanks for the video and the info.
Great looking smoker there eh! Been wanting to build one someday love the fall to harvest and butcher and someday smoke meat... been busy also butchered a deer last week, and harvested a black bear yesterday evening... need a smoker badly lol...
As a Baby Boomer I remember my grand parents and other people that lived though the Great Depression and WW2 doing this. The main reason was lack of refrigeration. I am so glad my house built in 1948 has a 16x6 cold room which is full. Thanks for sharing

Great to hear. No vent, but the roof is not sealed up tight so smoke does escape.
How long does the cold smoking take? We've only ever done the hot smoking.
We usually cold smoke for around 8 hrs depending on the item
@@ThorHavenFarm right on. Same time frame then. Thank ya.
Get a smoke gun🔥
@@johnnyharperscoutstable5386 I should!

Nice! Congrats! It is nice to have
First time I used a cold smoker was in college. I made my own gravelocks from scratch. The entire process only took 2 days.🐸🍺🔪🔥
Nice! Did that for the first time a few months ago
