Everyone sees the seed asking , the money aspect but no one checks the spending aspect. How that money is been utilized no one cares to find out. Most genuine ministers have businesses and even give more than what is been donated through all the seeds sowed. How many people actually do give? how many people actually do sow. I am not in anyway trying to defend anyone but it will be great to focus on both the giving and the spending before concluding on this ministers.
As a brand new Christian in 1992, a friend took me to their church because Mike Murdock was a guest speaker that night. The heebie jeebies came over me almost immediately. At one point he asked everyone to pull out their wallets and hold them up in the air. At that moment I asked my friend to leave this meeting. Though they supported him, they honored my request. He is/was absolutely horrendous.
Glad you weathered that storm. When I got saved my neighbor preached the Andrew Womack heresies to me. I was so upset and confused and spoke out against it at his Bible study. Murdock should've been a Wall Street broker. He's in the wrong vocation. Day Star, TBN and other Christian networks that air Murdock and other prosperity televangelists will answer to God for aiding and abetting in the fleecing of God's people.

Again, great video my friend, I watched mr. Peters video and offered mrs. Virtue some words of encouragement. I never knew who mike Murdoch was until watching Justin Peters videos, and I’ve always thought to myself that anyone with an ounce of true discernment can see these people for what they are, and it shows the power of the adversary when you see how many have been led astray. As someone who lives in Texas, I agree with Costi Hinn’s observation that Texas seems the buckle on the Bible Belt (referring to the WOF movement). I have highly-educated friends who are doctors and engineers that are drawn in by these “ministries.” The sad part is that these friends do know the Bible. And it’s everywhere here.
We are located in a smallish city in Texas and there are several WOF churches of which 2 are rapidly growing. But they don't have the international following of those in the huge cities
These friends know the historical narrative and the characters of the narrative of the Bible but are being deceived on the application. I’ve listened to some of the “sermons” from these WOF teachers, and they are skilled at the art of twisting the scripture. I don’t doubt the sincerity of the aforementioned friends. Many within these congregations do love the Lord, and these false ministers often feed off their devotion.
As a Texan and as I have been immersed into the WoF/NAR, these movements are truly everywhere! It is by faith alone, grace alone, scripture alone, in Christ alone, all for the Glory of God alone! So frustrating now that I can see!

I saw the other person’s videos for a time and I was driven away by his negativity but also it’s because The Holy Spirit gives discernment. When I came back to Christ in 2012, I was desperately looking for Christ & found Him later in the year due to difficult circumstances. I started looking, searching for everything about GOD and I praise Him because I found a good bible teaching church and found good teachers like McCarthur. When I see the depths these “pastors” go to promote their incorrect gospel, I’m sad and sickened because I l know many of these people attending are desperately seeking Christ and they’ve fallen into the trap of the false teachers

Yes, McCarthur has money, so do many pastors that preach today, but you need to look at their teachings, that’s what sets them apart. It is by how we live our lives according to God’s commands as well as having faith in Christ our savior that we can reach Heaven. The Pharisees preached living righteously and upholding the law but Jesus called them hypocrites. McArthur could give away $9 million dollars and still be a wealthy man. Jesus is the example....he had the power to be the richest man on earth but lived In frugality. Don’t take my word for it...Jesus is the one who said riches would be a barrier to the Kingdom of heaven. I find it interesting that a man can be sooooo knowledgeable about scripture and be able to eloquently expound on the word of God to others but miss a key element of Christ’s teachings. Jesus called it “the deceitfulness of riches”. He has been deceived and convinced himself (and you) that it’s ok to be rich.

When you watch Murdock, at the end of his endless, tedious messages, when he begins his plea for seed planting, he often says, "quickly, get up from the sofa and pick up the phone. Quickly, quickly, do it now..." he sounds just like Jim Jones who told his followers in the jungles of Guyana, "quickly, quickly, quickly." Murdock is as creepy and sleazy as they come.

This man is AMAZING and you have NO right to publically slander him. Once I sowed a $20 seed onto his ministry in faith bcuz it was a stretch at the time and I got 100 fold return harvest back $2000 a week later. His ministry is good soil to sow a seed into. And he one of the best and wisest TEACHERS in the the financial area my gosh amazing. Recently he look and sounds very old and frail and I still listen to him every now and then. God is GOOD🙏🏽🕊

A turning point came for me when those Inspiration Camp Meeting broadcasts started to periodically flash a disclaimer in the corner of the screen. I just couldn't rationalize believing in the concept of "seed faith " any longer. If God were truly using the various preachers featured during those meetings to relay the message that viewers were only $58, or $300, or $1000 from having all of their problems solved--what need would there be of a legal disclaimer?
I don’t know about “Great Balls of Fire”, but I can see him playing “Little Drop of Poison” 😂 These last two false teachers I’ve heard very little of in the past. The name Murdock does ring a bell, probably because I used to watch TBN back in day. I do have one question. He wrote a book about it, but stopped selling it. However, it can still be found as a PDF online. Trey Smith is an interesting individual. Don't know much about his theology. I can't take his personality for too long. I believe he's on RUclips.

Hey, if you're looking for more material (which I suspect you're swamped in) Ken Peters has a talk on the tribulation based on a supposed dream he had as a child/teen. So many are suckered in to believing his rambling dribble that was filmed in 2002. Funnily enough, his dream in the 1980s saw no tech more advanced than that of 2002. No smart phones, white "box" computers in every home (that his followers say must be iPads), 2002 model soft-top Hummers used by police, etc. The only video I've found of someone speaking on his ... talk (at the Prophecy Club) is by a man who ended up promoting it. Ken's video is very popular yet gives us nothing helpful or that the Bible doesn't already say. I did a non-emotional comment that just timestamped the whole long rambling thing, hoping to help someone spot the errors, but they deleted the comment.

If you haven't already believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God which is Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, then please do so. And remember, in order to believe on Jesus Christ; it will be necessary for one to know what he did for us. Jesus was a perfect man and also God in the flesh, he was born of a virgin named Mary, and performed many miracles in his life. He taught holy doctrine, trained his disciples in holy living, and rebuked the evil doers. He was sent by God the Father to tell the world that salvation can be found through himself. He (Jesus) says this because he, the messiah (savior) and sinless one, came to die for our sins/transgressions which are many. We're so sinful, in fact, that we've fallen way too short of God's glory and holy standards. And as you probably already know; he was crucified, buried in the tomb, and was raised from the dead. Now, all you need to do (if you've already accepted these things as fact) is trust in Jesus alone for your salvation. Believe that he died for your sins, and rely completely on him to make you clean. Believe on him with all of your heart, and abandon any self-ambition to gain heaven by your own efforts as our efforts are imperfect at best (God requires perfection). Remember, he paid the price for our sins (he died for you), and has shown us grace (unmerited favor - unconditional divine love and mercy), AND has made those who would believe on him righteous in the heavenly Father's sight, though we still are sinners. Eternal life (even salvation), as he said, is a free-gift. I hope that this has helped you to understand the gospel (the "good news" of salvation in Jesus). And, I hope that this helps you with your stress.

The debate was a slaughter, Stien was incompetent in comparison to his adversary and frankly lost the debate fair and square. I think in all honesty his failing was as a result of his own intellectual inferiority and not as a result of a week or futile argument. As someone who lives in Texas, I agree with Costi Hinn’s observation that Texas seems the buckle on the Bible Belt (referring to the WOF movement). I have highly-educated friends who are doctors and engineers that are drawn in by these “ministries.” The sad part is that these friends do know the Bible. And it’s everywhere here.
I have heard the same from those I know, well Texas and Oklahoma...are two of them anyway.
We are located in a smallish city in Texas and there are several WOF churches of which 2 are rapidly growing. But they don't have the international following of those in the huge cities

Many within these congregations do love the Lord, and these false ministers often feed off their devotion.

I saw the other person’s videos for a time and I was driven away by his negativity but also it’s because The Holy Spirit gives discernment. When I came back to Christ in 2012, I was desperately looking for Christ & found Him later in the year due to difficult circumstances. I started looking, searching for everything about GOD and I praise Him because I found a good bible teaching church and found good teachers like McCarthur. Yes, McCarthur has money, so do many pastors that preach today, but you need to look at their teachings, that’s what sets them apart. If you’re focused on looking at Christ for true repentance and salvation or are you preaching about living your best life now on earth.
It is by how we live our lives according to God’s commands as well as having faith in Christ our savior that we can reach Heaven. Sometimes I question my own walk with the Lord which isn’t perfect because I’m not perfect but I strive my best to keep my relationship with Him as honest as possible.
Alex Guillen if you heap riches upon yourself and live lavishly, while others around you are in need of food and shelter then it doesn’t matter what you preach. The Pharisees preached living righteously and upholding the law but Jesus called them hypocrites. McArthur could give away $9 million dollars and still be a wealthy man. Jesus is the example....he had the power to be the richest man on earth but lived In frugality. Don’t take my word for it...Jesus is the one who said riches would be a barrier to the Kingdom of heaven. I find it interesting that a man can be sooooo knowledgeable about scripture and be able to eloquently expound on the word of God to others but miss a key element of Christ’s teachings. Jesus called it “the deceitfulness of riches”. He has been deceived and convinced himself (and you) that it’s ok to be rich.

I did not realize where he was based (or debased) until the building was shown on the video. The location is about 5 minutes from my husband's childhood home and was originally a large discount store called Treasure City. Just from driving by, I thought it must have been some culty, non-orthodox religion. And now the truth is confirmed.

Once I sowed a $20 seed onto his ministry in faith bcuz it was a stretch at the time and I got 100 fold return harvest back $2000 a week later. His ministry is good soil to sow a seed into. A turning point came for me when those Inspiration Camp Meeting broadcasts started to periodically flash a disclaimer in the corner of the screen. I just couldn't rationalize believing in the concept of "seed faith " any longer. If God were truly using the various preachers featured during those meetings to relay the message that viewers were only $58, or $300, or $1000 from having all of their problems solved--what need would there be of a legal disclaimer?

These last two false teachers I’ve heard very little of in the past. The name Murdock does ring a bell, probably because I used to watch TBN back in day. I do have one question. Will all of these false teachers (I know there’s only two left 😅🤷🏻♀️) only be prosperity teachers? Or is there a chance we’ll see one that’s false in other ways? I’m thinking specifically of teachers like Steven Anderson.

Trey Smith is an interesting individual. Don't know much about his theology. I can't take his personality for too long. I believe he's on RUclips.

Hey, if you're looking for more material (which I suspect you're swamped in) Ken Peters has a talk on the tribulation based on a supposed dream he had as a child/teen. So many are suckered in to believing his rambling dribble that was filmed in 2002. Funnily enough, his dream in the 1980s saw no tech more advanced than that of 2002. No smart phones, white "box" computers in every home (that his followers say must be iPads), 2002 model soft-top Hummers used by police, etc. The only video I've found of someone speaking on his ... talk (at the Prophecy Club) is by a man who ended up promoting it. Ken's video is very popular yet gives us nothing helpful or that the Bible doesn't already say. I did a non-emotional comment that just timestamped the whole long rambling thing, hoping to help someone spot the errors, but they deleted the comment.

@@aaaa-lj4bs Where you live--is there a Calvary church nearby? You might want to give them a call. It sounds to me like you need someone in person to talk to. Just remember the Bible doesn't talk about forgiving sin except..... It talks about salvation through Jesus Christ.
@@aaaa-lj4bs well, you don't need to worry anymore, because their is only one sin that God will not forgive. That sin is unbelief/disbelief. If you haven't already believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God which is Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, then please do so. And remember, in order to believe on Jesus Christ; it will be necessary for one to know what he did for us. Jesus was a perfect man and also God in the flesh, he was born of a virgin named Mary, and performed many miracles in his life. He taught holy doctrine, trained his disciples in holy living, and rebuked the evil doers. He was sent by God the Father to tell the world that salvation can be found through himself. He (Jesus) says this because he, the messiah (savior) and sinless one, came to die for our sins/transgressions which are many. We're so sinful, in fact, that we've fallen way too short of God's glory and holy standards. And as you probably already know; he was crucified, buried in the tomb, and was raised from the dead. Now, all you need to do (if you've already accepted these things as fact) is trust in Jesus alone for your salvation. Believe that he died for your sins, and rely completely on him to make you clean. Believe on him with all of your heart, and abandon any self-ambition to gain heaven by your own efforts as our efforts are imperfect at best (God requires perfection). Remember, he paid the price for our sins (he died for you), and has shown us grace (unmerited favor - unconditional divine love and mercy), AND has made those who would believe on him righteous in the heavenly Father's sight, though we still are sinners. Eternal life (even salvation), as he said, is a free-gift. I hope that this has helped you to understand the gospel (the "good news" of salvation in Jesus). And, I hope that this helps you with your stress.

@@PoliteLeader I just watched the debate as you mentioned it was poignant, so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you very briefly. I of course have a lot more to say on the matter but I'll try to be brief. The debate was a slaughter, Stien was incompetent in comparison to his adversary and frankly lost the debate fair and square. I think in all honesty his failing was as a result of his own intellectual inferiority and not as a result of a week or futile argument. He poorly represented atheist and to judge atheist based off his failure is like judging religion by its weakest link. Although I of course hav e no interest in changing your mind I would urge you to base you opinion of atheism off something a little less embarrassing. If you like I can link some interesting perspectives on the matter. All the best
What remains of your own violated conscience will convince you that the Bible is true if you're willing to listen and honestly want to know. Both are the Holy Spirit sent by Christ our Creator to teach us truth. Let the one who makes the claim prove the claim. Burden of proof. So do not _resist_ your conscience and you _will_ believe and you _will_ be saved.
