Great info. In the market for a compact Ex and now possibly a forestry head for some pasture cleaning. Appreciate you guys for taking the time to show this type of stuff.
Mulching videos are really fun. I know its not tractor centric in this case, but these heads (and their results) are so satisfying to watch and I've gone down the rabbit hole on a few hardcore YT mulching channels as a result. Most of the guys doing it for a living have both skid steers and excavators to get their various tasks done. I now see how you're going to trim the pond banks, too! 😀 The excavator is really showing how versatile it can be in your fleet - clearly not everybody can run the number of machines you do, but it certainly gives more food for thought as to what's out there. Keep up the great work!
Would love to see how it cuts vertical tree lines then compare it to the Hardee brush tiger. Looking at options for trails and you’re the only one I know who has both options! Great video!
Lots of forest fires here out west. I'm sure a 100 of these heads would be quite useful in cutting fire line or doing fuels reduction work along side forest roads. Nice looking tools.
If I can just win the Powerball of Megamil, I could get one and a machine to put it on. 🙃 Very nice. The thing about the excavator head is one can reach between things that a skidsteer mulcher can't.
The advantage of the excavator rig is you are not beating up a tractor driving over stuff. Excavators do not get flat tires. Also you can reach a lot of places a tractor cannot drive
think i like the number 2 unit better like the sales guy said you willl get better with time what about getting stuff down to about knee high then when that is happen go for round 2 and finish things up
Questions: What happens if you are clearing an unfamiliar farm land and get into old fallen barbwire. Is it easy to clear tangle wire? Are there dealership's that rent or lease the mulcher's?
Wire cutters are your friend. Due to the number of different mounts, it is rare for companies to rent only the head. Usually they want to rent the excavator AND the head as a team.
Tim! We are back! Another fine video and narration! Keep up the very excellent effort! Hugs! Prayers are answered! Miracles happen! Dreams come true! “And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost” Moroni 10:4-5
Jordan kept bragging on the KX080. Saying how much more powerful this gen 2 mulcher is on it than on my lowly u48! Not sure if he is selling mulchers or excavators!!!
I worked with Jordan on that frost knife for my machine, definitely a game changer for sure and he's very sharp at what he does.

Great comparison, the new mulcher does a very nice job!
Those looks incredibly fun to operate.
Thanks and continued success from a former Taxifornian and new resident of Venice, Florida!
Well done. Loved the second head you used. A dramatic difference.

Thanks for the kind words. Reach out to Jordan at Mongo. He really is a sharp guy, and will help you with more detailed questions.

You have come along ways already using the mini excavator. Always remember practice makes perfect
Jorden, please make all the parts and assembly in the U.S.A. We need the work. Thank you.

Wow I wish you could come to Arkansas and cut roadside vegetation in my area!

the new mulcher costs more but it does a better job, I like it
When does Christy get to run this setup???
I may have missed it. Was the required flow rates the same?
Same hydraulic motor on each unit, yes.

Guess the rabbits are screwed-again.
Oh here we go.
The other thing is you can sell your old small tractor backhoe
Yep. Mini ex pretty much replaced it. However, it is still nice to be able to dig in people’s yards without tearing up their grass.
