    Thank goodness for these lower Grading standards at SGC! Makes grade bumping so much easier, glad it all worked out!

    Thanks again Dustin for proving my theory about grading. It’s totally subjective, the “grading standards” are constantly changing, & the iconic, high end cards are purposely undergraded to maintain low pop counts & making big profits on re-grading 😁

    Your order pop same time as mine right around the week of the national. So their best graders were probably in Cleveland and we got the jaded graders that didn’t get to go on vacation and took it out on our cards

    Although you didn’t hit your goal of a 1.5 grade bump, a full 1 point grade bump is not too shabby! It also reaffirms your ability to accurately grade your own cards. If your like me, No grader spends as much time on critiqueing a card than the submitter. 👍🏻

    I’m guessing not as much of a bump as the recent BGS order, but 1 grade avg seems very possible.

    I think that the Lebron/Wade rc has a little edge wear on the top of the card (by the label), that may be why it got the grade it did.

    Had a question for you, I’ve bought in bulk from dc a few times but never noticed it before. I was told that some of the things I won, didn’t meet asking price. Is this new for DC? I never noticed this in the past.

      I’ve never seen or heard of DCsports selling with a reserve price, weird. All of their items seem to start at .99 cents auction style so they should always sell to the winning bid. Reply back with one of the completed listings this happened to you on. I want to check the listing format out 👍 Thanks for watching! LV

    i always hear i got a good grader, i got a bad grader. i always thought that too. but how do we know one grader is doing the whole order? wouldnt psa have experts for sports, eras, sets, non sport, vintage, etc and each dept gets those cards? and at the end all the cards get
    put back with your work order? wonder how all the companies do it…

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  2 месяца назад

      I wish they did it that way…but I don’t think that’s how they do it. As far as I know one grader does each order. That’s why PSA tries to break down their specials by eras, non-sports, etc. I think they should narrow down their grading years even more 🙌

  • @gradedcards5516
    @gradedcards5516 2 месяца назад

    just further shows the leniency of SGC grading, for the most part...combine that with the lower value, even in a higher grade, and I could never crack PSA and submit to SGC, but to each his own...

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  2 месяца назад +1

      I actually don’t think SGC is lenient on cards year 2009 and older. I’d say they’re fairly spot on.

    I love this video for a variety of reasons. 1st, it shows you know what you're talking about. 2nd, it's how's that PSA may actually be a little more strict and higher quality than SGC and I say this because of 3rd, the grades remained consistent between the 2 companies. Meaning what PSA consistently gave an 8 to SGC gave a 9/9.5. I don't mean to sound negative in any of this. Great video. Now if we can only get the check sheets of the graders to see the specifics they look at.

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  2 месяца назад +1

      I definitely get what you’re saying, and appreciate what you said 🙌 In this particular order I felt SGC wasn’t lenient, instead spot on with their grades. Hopefully check sheets/grader notes will be the standard for all grading companies soon 🤞

    I averaged 1.25 on twenty basketball cracks to sgc. I literally hate psa. The nine ten thing and a pop control with 4 sharp and other advertisers. Ugh. The lucky seven ty cobbs got good grades for MINT State I reckon it pays to advertise. Seems unlawful to me

    Bro...gotta disagree with ya on this. Why regrade these cards when u lose? You're losing $5-10 or more per card. After u sell on ebay you're probably gonna lose more. What's the point of this? This isn't teaching or helping anyone. U say in the beginning u don't recommend doing this..then why do it? I don't get it.

      I think it teaches me on 100$ or less cards...prob should grade with SGC..I quickly checked comps (sold) ebay. 1990 Fleer Jordan PSA 10 consistent 165-185$ SGC 10 1990 Fleer Jordan around 130$. Actually sad imo, so many PSA fanboys....would love to know why. Beckett has been around longer and did more. I would have preferred a PSA to Beckett crack out vid, just to see the 4 grade point scores, but I'm sure LVC has to think about resale.
      1 other nugget, while I was researching 1990 Fleer Jordan as comp, 4 corners sold like 10-15 PSA 10's.....was unsettling how many had serial numbers right next to each other...makes me believe in PSA integrity even more...not. Anyway no negativity towards you. You were just looking out for LVC. I just don't like 0 accountability in the hobby. Would like to have someone change my mind, lol.
