I can tell the air is thin up there. This was the 1st time I heard you take breathes like that. Over all, beautiful scenery and masterful riding. Thanks Mr Hills! See you next Friday.
This ones is now on my bucket list. Oh, and I’ve worked with many French engineers that have eventually gotten their US citizenship. I feel like they still don’t mind me calling them “Frenchie”. They are proud of their heritage in a good way. Some of them even mountain bike!
Gorgeous scenery! Love those Alpine fields and the abrupt angles in the Rockies. Mama nature used her technicolor pant brush in CO. Probably my favorite state to ride.
Have you shredded every trail in Colorado yet? I visit often. Just spent the last three days hitting Floyd, Valmont, Trestle, and Buffalo Creek. So much to shred! Can't wait to return! Great vid, and that switchback tech is gorgeous!
Hey Nate, I love the quality of your videos. I am aware of the equipment you use to film. I had a question for you regarding the GoPro camera setup, do you mess with the filming settings on the GoPro? (Ex. White Balance, EV Comp, ISO Max, Color, brightness, etc…) I would love to hear back! Thanks again.
Great stuff Nate...so primo! I'm happy for you! Always living large! It reminds me of my 8 day trip called Colorado 1000 (mi)... we rode enduro Motos in SW CO on mostly dirt loop from Durango . Sargents, Gunnison, Silverton, Orphir, Ouray, Telluride, Lake City, Creede, Pole Creek Trail crossing CO Tr, Rainbow Trail, Salida were all included and numerous passes with mix of single and double track. We covered so many great places. I can't wait to go back and ride my mountain bike and moto there again once my new van is ready. What was that colored cloth stuff in bushes at 3:03 ? Someone's tents drying from rain?
Silverthorn is where we've stayed the last two trips from Arkansas out to Moab. Had no idea it was near trails! Is this worth riding on the way out or back? Could we stage cars and shuttle it in the morning, or is it an all day affair climbing up, and back down?
This is near Silver*ton*, not Silver*thorne*. Both are in Colorado but several hours from one another. That being said, there are trails near to both Silverthorne and Silverton. There are a variety of options in regards to time committment and difficulty in both locations.
@@zachadam6773 ....Ahhh. That explains it. I thought I had remembered seeing a super chunky descending trail on YT at one point in time, but when I searched Silverton, it didn't come up. That explains that, and this video from Nate...it's Silverthorne where we stayed! Thanks for clarifying, and now I feel kinda dumb. :-)
@@zachadam6773 ....I swear at one point I saw a video of some really rocky, chunky descents around Silverthorne, but I can't find ANYTHING on RUclips on the trails there. Got any links?
"Frenchie" Alex just got his US citizenship granted. Now I call him "American". ha. Still master of the French switchback technique! Legend!
Every guy should be hanging out with a Frenchie🤣
That guy has way too many syllables in his last name.
He’s still “French James” to me
Alex can now call them freedom fries.
@@biketothetop or an Italian one :D
Backcountry is the best country. Love these epic adventure rides just as much as the double blacks.

Alex is unreasonably fit currently, haha
Being up there give me extra Vo2 😉
That looks like a killer segment. And Alex is looking as fast as ever.
Never a slow pace with Alex.
San Juans are so beautiful, great riding.
One of my favorite descents on the CT. Brings back good memories!
Such a good bit of trail.
I cannot get enough of this one, been watching it a lot this weekend. Looks amazing on the TV!
Cheers friend.
This trail looks awesome. My preferred type of terrain and environment. 👍🤙🏼
Totally agree!
Looked sick!
Beautiful scenery, awesome trail, and two bro's out playing bikes...can it get much better?!?! And congratulations AP 🇺🇲
Stoked for Alex. He has been working on that for many years.
that stream crossing visual is absolute magic
Gorgeous trail!
Alex is amazing, welcome to America.!!!
Gorgeous scenery! Excellent riders
Many thanks!
Sublime singletrack - and even better riding skills! 🤟🏼

Damn you guys killed it! That would be an awesome place to ride! Nice job guys!
That trail was SICK dude
man, what a trail.
Man I love pine trees - I could almost smell em. Great vid!
DAMN Nate, beautiful opening shots, HOLY SHIT. Lived in CO for almost a decade, and still takes my breath away.
Same. The scenery will never grow old to me.
Fantastic trail 👍🏼
Amazing!
that trail is amazing! thank you for showing us... cant wait to check it out too!
Have fun!
Glad you could escape that charge from the marmot, close call. Cool vid. Keep the wheels turning.
He was coming right for us!
Watching Nate Hills videos is like speed running Colorado! Trailforks and MTB Project should just have a "NateView" button like Street view...
Smash the Nateview button;)
That trail is amazing! I want to run my HT on that!
Nate, what a great day for MTB'n! Some Skydio aerials would have been sweet on this ride!! Enjoyed from lockdown Bangkok. Blue skies, jg
Nice Stumpy Alex
Best bike I ve ever had, period

There is a lifetime of riding here. So much to explore.
What’s the elevation there? You sounded like you were working, I’d probably be dead 😂👍🏻
12,300 at the marmot pass 😊

Such a good section. And some 30 mph sections that don’t looks like it!
Nice, looks like they are not getting the fire smoke like the Front Range and northern mountains.
Purpleair is a good resource for checking air quality.

Sounds like an epic trip. Those were tents and bags drying in the bushes.
great.💥
How I look Colorado has a lot of awesome singletrails, FREERIDAY
I'm guessing you get your wheels trued after every run?
I never touch them interestingly enough, ha
Do you guys ride these blind or have you been down them before?
I think both Alex and I had ridden this once, about 8 years ago.
@@natehills9388 that’s awesome. I’m not even that good on trails that I ride 20 times a season.
Heading to Granby Ranch Wednesday, any rides like this around there or WinterPark?
Jones Pass is fun.
Hi Nate, did you start from Molas Pass ?
We did start from Molas.
Keeping the dream alive!
Doing our part.
Man, beautiful there, and you almost got to pet a marmot, what happened to the drone?
The marmot ate the drone.

Congrats to Alex new US green. Not for nothing he probably could have speed up the process by mastering the Spanish language. Just saying. 🤔🙃
What exactly are you saying? Not sure I appreciate this comment.
@@natehills9388 it’s a joke. To get citizenship some counties require that you learn the native language. Not sure if English still is LoL
