- Another retie video as requested! My routine has been the same since I've started my locs. I use the 2-point rotation and I wrap any loose hairs around the loc before I begin interlocking. This makes them look cleaner with no fly-aways. I talk a good bit through this video, just chatting it up lol. Let me know if you enjoyed it!

I’ll be 1 year loc’d on new years. My mom does my reties right now. I keep telling her I’m going to attempt to do it solo after year one. I’m probably lying though. 😂

New subscriber here! Loving your texture and length. I will be 20 months loc'd on the 28th of this month ( in 2 days) and I have been doing my own re-tie since the very beginning. I wish I had some of the same methods while teaching myself over the first few months on how to do a successful re-tie. I have a few thinning locs and this is due to making them too tight as you mentioned. Ive had to cut a couple of them down just to blend in better. I have some that are still curly at the ends and some that have budded. Just like you, I experience different textures in different parts of my head. I'm looking forward to viewing more of your videos! Be blessed.

This is so satisfying to watch I have traditional locs I get my front interlocked because it is so loose
I’m in the middle of my retie too, will be 3 years loc’d January 27,2023b😝 I’m geeked! I am what I like to call free form micro loc’d because I didn’t part my hair just grabbed sections I felt were the same size. I did make sure to have an even amount on both sides. I had 636 locs with an under cut.

Instant loc’s and it works just as amazingly on my loc’s as it did on my loose natural hair!💥

Please tell me how you are able to successfully see the back of your head while you're retighting your locs. I'm considering doing my own but I'm afraid I'll end up connecting locs together on accident because I can't see back there. Do you have a specific mirror setup? If so could you do a video showing that?
How long did you braid and band for wash day? Your locs are very uniform and I noticed in previous videos you don't the fuzziness. Looks so pretty! Did you always do the 2pt rotation? Or did you switch from 4pt? Sorry for all the questions 😆

When you first interlock the roots do they feel really compact/stiff?
I have a few straight ends from a texture. I textured my leave out. What can I do to make them work?
What’s the name of the paste you use? I find my roots getting loose too fast after reties ,any tips? (I do have a looser curl)
Is it normal for locs to end up looking more like braids and less like fluff as it matures? I love the fluff of my starter locs that make it look like loose stretched natural hair and I'm wondering how to keep that going. Thanks!

This is the size of locks I want. Would they look the same with 4point rotation?
No they will be very tight and no fluff. That’s why I changed from 4 to 3 for volume. I hope that helps

Low-key I only instal smedian twists to get the loc look. After seeing this, I may go smaller and keep them in longer.
