A New Hockey Bag, an Increase in Price, but, No Bedard

- Presstine, the company that supplies Dollarama with the Surprise Hockey Bags, have changed the colour of their bags, and increased the price from two dollars to three dollars (Canadian).
I hadn't been in our local store for several days until last night when orange coloured bags caught my eyes. There were only seven on the rack so I bought three heavy bags.
I weighed them on my food scale and one of them was 98 grams, quite heavy. Not much has changed other than the price and the colour. I pulled some plastic sleeves from the heaviest bag as well as the usual small packets of used cards. More plastic was in the other two bags and more small packs.
I'm not really keen on paying $3.00 plus tax for used cards and plastic sleeves that cost $1.00. Although, I may still search for the lighter bags that may contain an auto or a jersey card. I have pulled over 50 of them.

Like everything else. ML was offering a combo 24 UD 1 and 2 hobby boxes for 359, which isn't bad compared to some of the cost I've seen for Series 2. Wanted too, but still too much for my wallet. Thanks E

As much as I don't like ordering from Walmart, I did see some megas on their website and grabbed two. Hopefully it comes in tact

Well they have been 2 bucks for the past 3 yrs at least, so, with inflation and everything else, I guess it was time, unfortunately. Are they worth 3 bucks?
@thepassionatepackrat1988 honestly....If personally got any, it would only be for the Penny Sleeves....at least they added an extra random pack though.

Yep new digs for pristine. Basically 1$ more for an extra insert pack. Same principle as the old packs. You wanna look for those super thin packs to find the memorabilia cards.

Maybe no Bedard but that PLD was a cool card. Very fun rip, especially for less than $500 like most Bedard hunts. Have a great weekend 👊🏻🏒

I used to buy these like crazy when they had the 3 packs and a bonus item in them because I thought they were great for set building and beginner collectors, then for awhile you couldn't even find them anymore and then when they did come back they had a new format still 2 bucks but 1 less pack inside then after that alot of people were just goingt to get the packs that had sleeves in then since its easy to tell wich ones do. Havent seen the new ones here yet but if I do maybe i'll pick a couple up for the hell of it
If nothing else they are fun. I quit opening the mini packs because I have so many, over 100. That's how much I have spent on those things. Mind you, I have pulled over 50 jersey and auto cards from them. Thanks

I agree, but I don't think these will go down. If no one bought UD series 2, then it would go down, but that is unlikely to happen. Thanks

I think you do! You like me, continue to add, but eventually I am going to have to do something with all these things. I give my commons to the Boys and Girls Club so I have eliminated that dilemma . Thanks J
