one the fastest cars I ever owned 1965 formula s 273-235 eat GTO'S,CHEVELLES,NOVAS it was light, nimble and handled like a dive bomber,so I bought another one,you can't go wrong with a 1964-8 cuda, dont' reinvent the wheel just get you one and SEE
Thanks for the comment.! In this video the engine was a 360 cid. w/cast crank !! W2 cylinder heads w/roller cam. 904 trans. w/5500 stall converter . Dana w/5.13 gears. 3200lbs.car. Best time was 10.00 @132.23mph. The New engine going in will run low 9's.
GREAT Cuda - It's what I would want mine to be when it grows up ;-) Nice Tribute too... Can you offer any specs on it ? Engine, Drive Line, etc... Nothing better than watching a 65 Fish slap around a Mustang ... THANKS !!
My stock 273-235 would twist at 7500 all day with no problems. I did stretch a rod once, so I put in 340 rods, 318 truck motor steel crank, and my rpm, went sky high then, consistently. Never threw a rod or destroyed a block from racing, but did destroy one due to thin wall casting when I bored out the oil passages. LOVED my Cudas. Actually had3. 2-65's and 1 67 coupe with 225 slant. It too was quick! :)
