Joan and I went to Burlington (actually: Essex Junction, Vermont) for the day on Saturday. We went to spectate the National Street Rod Association's Northeast Nationals. There was a good crowd there and plenty of spectators.
So many gorgeous rides up there.
There was some nice rides.
Billy Thanks We won that event with our BelAir Pick of the Show.

Hey Hi again 37spiker from the D Mi USA 😎 and thanks so much appreciated your time and video of some Amazing Beautiful rides 👍🤩🔥💞😁
👍
Morris minor and that hillman squire that’s for sale was nice. Uk hot rod fodder. But a very nice show with some smashing machinery. Cheers bill Joan thanks for sharing. Tim.
I’m glad you liked it. There’s always real nice stuff there.
The Ford at 32:35 has been the same for about 40 years !
👍
Hi Bill, I've never seen so little cars at this show.
Guess your getting ready for Florida soon
Yes, we’re getting ready, probably sometime in the second week of October
Nice work Bill ❤
Thanks 😁
Hi Bill. The number of cars and people looks down from the past. I saw my friends Jerri an Dave's cars. Jerris orange 32 Ford is the same manufacturer as my 32. I have been friends with them for over ten years. We met at Goodhuys Rinebeck.
I talked to him. He mentioned you were his friend. His car is nice. It’s pretty common knowledge that the lower attendance is do to the outrageous hotel prices. Things like 3 night minimums at $500 a night. I’m afraid it’s going to affect Syracuse the same way. Like I told you, the place we’ve stayed at the last two years in Syracuse, doubled their prices. Rooms starting at $315 a night. It’s not that we can’t afford it, it’s the principle. I found 5 rooms at $212 a night.
@@37spiker I heard that the Adirondack Nationals where the same way. Same thing a 3 night minimum at outrageous prices. The time you pay that, food, gas, and other expenses that's a very expensive weekend. I agree with you . People aren't going to want to come to the shows because it's too darn expensive.
@@Its_Just_Chris__ that’s why I don’t go to the Adirondack’s anymore. We had to get a room out of town and leave our cars downtown and take a taxi every night back to the hotel. A friend of mine went every year since the first one, them the hotel he stayed at for years tripled the price. So him and his club member friends stopped going
Lots of beautiful cars and trucks. I'm there every year with my 56 Belair.
But you always avoid it like the plaige
I’m sorry. Did I walk by it, because I didn’t make it into every area. My back was really hurting and I left out areas.
I passed word on to the Syracuse Nationals. They agree with you. Hope something can be done with with it.
It’s sad, but I don’t think there’s much that can be done.
I was there with my car on Friday and Saturday, Friday was like a ghost town and Saturday was somewhat better but still nothing compared to what it used to be..I live only 2 hours away so I go home every night but I heard what they were charging for hotel rooms and it's outrageous and what happened to all the vendors that used to be in the arenas?..the show has less and less to offer each year..between the cost to stay there and the lack of vendors I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel the show altogether..
Sad to say, but I think you’re right. People are tired of paying the outrageous room prices.
Do you know how many cars was there
Rumor has it a little over 800.
Heard Their Swiching Dates With
Nat 's North (Kalmazoo) Next Year
... what a disappointment
...not even a thousand cars ~ sad
I know, but it’s still a nice event.
Kinda sparse Bill?
More and more empty spaces, but it’s still a nice event. I think the hotel room rates really hurt.
IS THIS YOUR FIRST TIME DOING THIS
Just started 40 years ago.
