I think Ollie washed out that landing deliberately to make us think they’re ordinary riders really. The trails at Rogate are still looking ‘mighty fine’, unfortunately haven’t been back since before lockdown... how very remiss of me. Nice edit guys, thank you.
That crash is quite sobering... I (and I assume most of us) would have to be carried away on a stretcher or a box after that high speed nose first washout. It's more than just being a "cat", there's some training, experience and professionalism at display. Olly doesn't panic when he notices he's going to crash and immediately tries to spot where he will drop and roll. But not just that awareness, he also manages to "Bench-press" some serious numbers otherwise he would go OTB like a ragdoll with his beard stuk in his frontwheel. I'm happy with a mini-whip from a tiny roller and this one shows that's good as it is :D
At 2:40 Is it not possible to gap from the root to the down where you're standing? So just one big gap? Obviously you'd have to come in absolutely flying, but can't really tell on film if it's doable !
