Removed everything and started from scratch following your tutorial and now everything finally works perfectly! This helped so much, could not figure out why the custom resource packs were not working for the life of me. Thought all the datapacks were broken, turns out I just wasn't loading the resource pack!
Ah! Sorry to hear that, I had a similar thing at that point. (I figured I'd remove it from the already-long video as I thought it was only because I was loading a second server with the same name and that wouldn't be likely to impact anyone else!) It's hard to know for certain, but it usually means it's trying to load your data from 2 different spots, or find player data where there isn't any. Sometimes, mods use additional player-data bits, so if you have mods for another setup in your .Minecraft folder, it may be trying to load those, realising the server doesn't have those mods, and panicking as a result. ...but it could also be like 10 other things haha. Could you give me a bit more info on your setup? :) Are you trying to run other mods too? Do you have any other mods in your .minecraft/mods folder? Have you played the world elsewhere? (like single player, or launching the server in a different spot to where you're trying to run it now) If you try connecting again, then get the invalid player data response again, you could try going to your .Minecraft folder, going to the Logs folder, opening the 'latest.txt' file and copying and pasting that info to me in a DM on Reddit (I'm u/Addersea there too) if wanted - it may help point me to the thing that's causing the trip up! (Or it may not. No promises hahaha)
Sorry to hear that! Can you tell me in what way it's not working? Is it just not loading, or is it crashing, can you not hear people/discs, etc? If you go to modrepo .de/minecraft/voicechat/wiki/troubleshooting (but remove the spaces) there's a page with common problems. If you can figure out if it's one of those issues, I'm happy to try and help from there! But I'm new to the voice mod too unfortunately, so I don't have any advice off the bat I'm afraid, sorry :(
great tutorial works like a charm! juste one thing. it seems to put you right in the end of a tournament of hermicraft wolrds. so the problème is there a lot of things moved or even not there at all( i have played in a single world) or like the scoreboard already fill in with heads and snow and winner etc. so is there a way to reset all the map to the very begining point? in the map of hermitcraft the dungeon master room is even not there anymore.
Unfortunately not :( The map is as they released it on their website, which was at the end of the season once everything was in place. They didn't release any 'snapshots' of earlier in the season, to my knowledge. :( My suggestion would be use chat commands to put yourself in creative mode, fly around and fix/adjust any of the things you want to, then go back to survival mode to play as if the hall was brand new? Could be a fun activity if you wanted to do a complete do-over, or 5 minutes if you just wanted to reset the scoreboards? :) (in my version of the world with friends, I went through a checklist of redstone bits to fix/adjust before we played for similar reasons! Haha)
@@Addersea thanks for the comeback! so here what i did i started a singleplayer world with curseforge and copied the world instead of hermitcraft9. but theres is only one things that doesnt work. its the wooden sign that make you chose the gamemode before a run. maybe with your list of fix you know what should i do to fix this or maybe can you give me this list of things you fix yourslef so i can try myself?
port forwarding is for routers, not anti-virus software. If you are forwarding ports without using your personal solution for connecting to the internet, you are doing something wrong.
@e3.14c4 Ahhh beans, you're totally right 😂 I didn't even catch the mistake in editing, that's annoying! Thanks for highlighting and correcting! (In my case, at the time, I needed to add rules into MS Defender still. I'd already done router settings prior to new machine, so I've completely missed that step here. That sucks! 🙃)
I couldn't figure out why the custom textures wouldn't work, this helped with that, though I do still have an issue, the shulker boxes just have a "white block" on top of them instead of the actual textures as they were in hermitcraft, do you happen to know how to fix this particular issue?
Oooh interesting! Try pressing F3+A at the same time to reload chunks, or F3+T to reload texture packs, and see if it's just because the world was opened with broken textures, and hasn't reloaded them fresh. If that doesn't work, could you describe the white block? Is it just plain? :) (It could just be Minecraft's Christmas shulker box update that's caused this trip up!)
@@Addersea From Zed's shulker at Decked Out I can see that for whatever reason the texture has gotten inverted (at least for me), I just took a break though as it's past midnight, but I'll try the F3+A / F3+T tomorrow
@@Addersea sadly it looks like youtube doesn't let me link the screenshots, but the F3+T and F3+A did not fix the issue, every single shulker box that has one of the custom items inside (or at least those are the ones I can currently confirm) will have what looks like a snow layer on top of it, but it's actually a frame being seen from behind, when I look from the other side of a shulker I can see "BINGO" on every shulker, at least in the Frozen Citadel.
@@akiraokami It sounded like a "Z-axis" problem where the game loads the textures in the wrong order at first... but a snow layer and 'BINGO' is so odd! Do you have any other mods running with this? (Maybe Lithium, Bobby, or something to help increase framerate?) I'd say double check that the Hermitcraft resource pack is at the top of your 'Selected' resources list, so it's getting first priority, and maybe remove everything apart from the Hermitcraft and Default resources from that list to see if that resolves it? When there are visual glitches like this, it's usually because 2 resources are combating to load in the same spot. (One of the big reasons pre-made mod-packs are awesome, custom building one can be exhausting!) The best approach to take, usually, is to remove and re-add mods/resources/resource packs one at a time to see if you can find out which one causes it. If you have mods other than the ones I've listed in the video, I'd recommend trying to remove those first and see if you can find the culprit. If you've only got the stuff in this video, though, maybe you could just delete all the mods from your .Minecraft folder, and redo the entire install in case it's just a corrupted file somewhere? Overall, I'd recommend seeing if you can go to the Hermitcraft or a Minecraft Reddit or a Facebook group, post the problem alongside some screenshots there, and see if anyone can figure it out there. (I'm Addersea on Reddit too so feel free to let me know if/where you post and/or tag me in! You have my curiosity piqued hahaha)
@@Addersea Doesn't look like it's conflicting mods, but I hadn't even thought about removing mods to see what the issue could be, and it looks like the entire problem stems from "Peek", as if I remove it, the problem goes away, however in return I also don't get those items on the shulkers that I saw the various hermits have in their videos, which does suggest that they found a way to have that mod working But I'd rather not have it than deal with the annoyance of not being able to see shulkers properly. Then again, I'm pretty sure the hermits also used a different Minecraft client than I am using, seeing as how I saw them access the mods from inside their client, which isn't available for me, unless I am just really blind. (Which, hey, to be fair, I am legally blind when not wearing my glasses, but considering I'm wearing them, that shouldn't be the issue)

I found my issue if any one else encounters this. I forgot to port forward the port for the audio server

this is really helpful, the only issues i'm having is the voice mod just will not work for me T_T. any advice?

I had to update my Java from Java8 to java 17 and it worked.
