There is only 1 surviving 314 unit in real life. All 16 314 units were withdrawn in December 2019 and replaced by Class 385 units as well as the operators inherited trains from the past. 314209 has been saved for hydrogen conversion to no longer enable diesel trains by 2035. This includes additional Class 230 units to be added to the fleet. Though it will surely take a little bit of time to the new fleet arrives in Scotland. The remaining 314 units have been scrapped.
