    I went for the metal version to get the con 70 converter with a Soft Medium nib. A very nice everyday writer.

    I got this pen in the same soft broad, but i returned it because it was scratchy. Other than that, i liked the lightness of the pen body and soft springiness of the nib.

      Im surprised you found it scratchy. Did you happen to check the time alignment?

      @fortheloveofpens yes, everything seemed fine under a loupe. I was also surprised that it was scratchy. I spent a couple days playing around with the angle to make sure it wasnt user error. Weirdly though, the pen did not come inside a plastic sleeve like my other pilot gold nibs, so maybe they sent me a pen that someone else had opened and returned.

      @@radiofreealbemuth there’s a good chance. I’ve found Pilot medium+ sizes to be extremely smooth out of the box

      @fortheloveofpens thats been my experience as well for the most part. Pilot gold nibs are generally my favorite nibs

    Hi! I have this exact 90's Namiki, also in a SB. However, i get hard starts. I'm using Pilot ink. It was cleaned before using, and I've used brass sheets to clean out the tines. What do you think?

    • @ForTheLoveOfPens
      @ForTheLoveOfPens  Год назад +2

      Cleaning between the tines with a brass sheet is a good idea. Have you checked if the nib is in good contact with the feed? Springing the nib could happen if you flex it too hard. You may also want to try removing the nib and feed and soak those, scrubbing the feed with a toothbrush can also help. Lastly I’d take a look at the cartridge/converter you’re using and make sure ink isn’t clinging inside.

    Very nice review! It did bug me that you spelled "harmonious" wrong, but that can be forgiven, as the rest of the review was great!

    I will have to look for the metal version. Using a Con-70 converter will make it a wonderful pen.

    Haven't notice how similar the feed looks compared to the feed of the Pilot Myu🤔... This pen has been on my wishlist for a while, but unfortunately the Pilot Justus in the last blackfriday and the metal Lamy 2000 in Christmas keep me from getting one last year, maybe this 2024 tho😅.
    Thank you for the video.

      It does look a bit like the MYU feed, at least the bit you can see (can’t take the MYU apart without special tools). Sounds like a great holiday season! I’m interested in the Justus, maybe someday 😊

    Wish they would make one with a matt black color. Not a fan of the glossy look.
