But the fact that Corey can sing like this in Stone Sour, then jump on stage and do his Slipknot thing is beyond great talent. He is amazing, and way above the rest with his level of talent. At least that's my personal opinion, not many could do what he does
Man, is Corey Taylor the single most talented and diverse Rock vocalist/song writer of all time? At the very least, he is part of the argument. This guy has blown me away since the first (technically second) Slipknot album.

I remember a couple of years ago stumbling upon this and though it was great. Then i found out out that the vocalist was slipknots vocalist and i was blown away. Corey's range is is just spectacular and he has now grown to be one of my biggest inspirations for music. Stone sour has also become one of my favourite bands. They are purely Spectacular

Not many can sing as clean as here and as hardcore as he does in slipknot.
Not everything Corey does has to be screaming and heavy guitar riffs. Songs like this show the true emotion in musicianship

I saw them Live at Soundwave in Sydney. They rocked the joint, was fucking amazing. Corey is one of the best Metal singers around today, probably best singer around at the moment, it is because of his work in BOTH Slipknot and Stone Sour that make it that way. This shows off how is vocals are clean, Slipknot show his ability to change between clean and growling. Any singer capable of that is brilliant.

This video is awesome and heart retching all at the same time! Great effects but my heart breaks for the little boy caught in the middle of his parents bullshit. The part where Corey is holding him by the stairs is the part I start bawling like a baby every time.
Corey is no sell out, he is simply depicting his life in this song, what with his wife divorcing him and his ex having a restraining order against him seeing his kid. When your best friend dies and all this is thrown in, it can change a man in so many ways.

Personally I love Slipknot and Stone Sour. Why be confined to one style of music? I love metal the most but Corey has amazing talent and one hell of a voice. I'm glad he does transcend genre. He and both his bands make amazing music. Keep it up man. Cant wait to hear the next Slipknot album. For those who haven't kept up when paul passed they were already working on a new album. And the band has stated they will finish it in his honor.
