Hi Julie, I didn't think you'd get the crock because of the blue heart since you don't like things with hearts. I still like things with hearts. I say I'm surrounding myself with love. Lol 💞💞
I don’t like wood shelves with the heart cut out in them. Hearts otherwise don’t bother me.
So I had the same idea for Mother’s Day……I looked for beautiful shaped glass vases and started some cuttings of pothos plants. They have grown roots so when I give them for Mother’s Day they can let stay in the vases or replant!!!
The vases all came from Goodwill and have great design details!!!!

I love that little candle shade. I would not have thought to get one but will be looking out for one now! I’m glad you stood up to the staff on the price tag issue. I try not to think about how they are making money off donated items and stick to the joy of the hunt…. But it really does irk me. Like you said, it’s not the $3; it’s their lack of trust that is insulting. Glad you found some nice pieces to enjoy ❤

What is wrong with that Goodwill?
In Canada, where we pay horrible taxes including one called a carbon tax that is like over 60% or more added to the prices, I paid 69 cents for that same Christmas book.
I usually envy the affordable things you find, but Goodwill is out of control.

I’m with you, I would not paid the up price either. Everything is donated to Goodwill and now that there is a 17:21 resellers out there that’s why they have priced higher. I never donate to them anymore because of this. I donate to church thrift stores. I collect Marshall Pottery also.

Julie good for you for sticking up for yourself. And not letting them bully you for 3 dollars. We all know that they get those donations free, and all they do is resale, they dont clean or repair the item. So its free money for them
It’s not just free money. They pay rent, utilities, wages…just like any other business. In order to keep the doors open and raise money for their charity, prices have increased.

@@VintageTeeHouseThey often overcharge for free to them merchandise. Items are put out more often than not, dirty, torn or broken. CEO makes millions. I refuse to donate to them, I donate to actual charities instead.

I’m so sad the staff would “up” the price on an item😒. At the goodwill I frequent the girls are always friendly and happy to see me, and if an item has no tag they say “ how about..?”

I’m in Phoenix AZ! I guess the employee learned his memory is not as good as he thought lol. That was a cute frame, I don’t find them anymore at my Goodwills. I think they get snapped up quick.

Glad you stood your ground. I had that happen with a bench I believe they put out for the antique store across the street. It was $15.00 when I went to pay for it but they said no it was $75. Yes, they changed the price. .😳😟 👍💕

Good for you and the CEO of Goodwill makes millions on free stuff. I don't even go to Goodwill anymore. I won't donate anything to them because the right thing to do especially with clothes and even some decor items is to donate to nursing homes because some of those patients don't have family or they don't have the proper clothing they need or they only wear the same thing three times a week. So donate to nursing homes. They will really really appreciate it. Not like the CEO of Goodwill

Hi again. I use the plastic vinyl placemats in my refrigerator on shelve and drawers so if any gets on them, easy to wash so shelves to stay clean. I am looking for a pioneer crockpot. I repurpose so much.

I think that sagging shelf was just upside down. I believe the hinges should be on the bottom, and that would sturdy it up.

If you take the stem of the plant and push it down from the top instead of feeding it from the bottom you wouldn’t have to put all the leaves through
Oh wow! I had something similar happen in Fort Worth!! I found a five gallon pottery drink dispenser with a Marshall pottery base for $20. The cashier thought I should pay extra for the base-called a manager and everything. I got both pieces for $20.

Hi, Ma’am, just wanted to let you know that the calendar blocks weren’t right, I have a similar one too, it’s the month at the bottom, then the numbers and the top would be the day of the week, so when you read it it’ll be like Friday 19 April. Basically making it Friday, the 19th of April. The way you have it set up would be like saying 19th the Friday of April. Hope it helps and god bless you and your family. All love from Australia ❤

I am definitely a very cozy decorator always have been. I love the style I had to back off of it because of my health I miss it so much. I have a lot of home interior. I recognized the candle topper immediately. I have about six or seven different kinds for the different seasons. Two of some!! They were always so pretty and neat idea….♥️. I am so glad that you got the price that you saw on the Marshall pottery piece because that is very nice. You always find great items. I love little tiny frames two 😊. I use my pioneer woman crock pot for just hot beverages-hot apple cidar. Works great and nice to have separate from roasts, etc.
