Biggest difference which every Video seems to forget: It's not only a magnetic mount on the Edge! On the Neo you have to Click it in AND than connect the Usb Adapter!! Every time you take it off. That is also the single reason you cannot charge it while you are using it: because the Usb C port is already in use!!!. I thought that a little more comfort is not worth 50 Bucks but this makes a difference because the Mount on the Edge has also to be active with energy provided and the Neo is just a dumb piece of Plastic. Not saying that it is uneasy to mount the Neo, but if i knew that from the beginning by seeing and reading about all Comparisons there are i would have went for the Edge. Don't know how it's possible to just don't mention this.
A very informative video. I just purchased the Cardo Edge and I always wondered what the difference was between it and the Neo. Now I know. Very well done and a BIG thumbs👍up.
Nice editing. The most disappointing part of the video is that you did not show details on the click mount of Packtalk Neo. As you mentioned there are few differences and you even emphasised that the click mount is more fiddly.
Awesoem video, defenitly nice to see the neo up close. Wish they just made the edge in multiple colors that would really help the edge sell alot more cause people like to match with there helmet or outfits.
I have this feeling they will do that but like one at a time just like they did with the packtalk Bold. So just keep following Cardo for updates on that matter.

No, only to charge you have to take it off and plug it in! When you click it in the mount it will immediately be connected, so you don't need to fiddle in a plug before you go riding, only have to click it in place.
I see that the Neo needs to have it's wires plugged into the unit each time it's put back on after charging. The Edge has the wiring connected to the cradle mount, thus eliminating the need to fuss with wires when attaching the unit to your helmet.
As a skydiver, I'm not a big fan of magnetic mounts. I had the BOLD to begin with. It wasn't that hard to mount with the click. One good hit and I feel like the edge will go flying away. I'm glad I watched this vid.
I've read and watched other videos that yes, it magnetically locates itself to the mount, but it physically locks as well, requiring the push of a button to release it.
@@itayallalouf5063 I went with the Edge. As you know once it snaps in place it stays locked pretty well until you hold down the front tab to remove it. The risers (they connect the canopy to the harness at the shoulders) tend to rub against the volume roller occasionally, even sometimes hard enough to pause the music i'm listening to. I'll likely try out the Slim or Spirit. I just don't want to keep spending money to figure it out haha! I may also just try to relocate it.

I just bought the Neo for my Arai Tour X4. The units are virtually identical, the only difference being the magnetic air mount on the Edge. No use to me so I'm more than happy with the Neo.

As someone that hast lost his Gopro (twice🙈) while riding, i would absolutely never trust a magnetic mount. Thats too much money to drop on the ground without realizing it. Before you ask: The first time i got too exited over my new exhaust and didn´t tighten the bolt properly, the second time it was a faulty GoPro Case that that broke.😅
I need to clarify now. I bought the edge. It's not a magnetic mount. It gets pulled in by the magnets, but actually gets locked in place by clips. To get it off, you need to unlock the Bracket and slide the Edge forward. But after seeing yesterday's announcement of Cardo for a subscription Model, they have bigger problems than possible Customers misunderstanding the mounting mechanism 🤣
Edge and Neo differ only in locking system, cable?. Interestingly, how to sound when compared to Packtalk Black and Edge/NEO is it the same?. Because the speaker is Black 45mm while the Edge/Neo is 40mm
The HJC RPHA11 do have room for communications systems, so with that said, a communications device should be able to be build in. I don't know however if Sena specifically fits in it, I have only ever build in Cardo's, Cardo does fit.
The Edge I only take off when charging, but you can also do that while it's still on the helmet (I just don't like having a bulky helmet laying somewhere where I am charging it, lol).
The big difference is the edge base unit is wired so can just unclip the unit . The neo the wires plug into the back so need to disconnect ever time want to take off
I still have a question that i cannot find the answer to anywhere. Is there a difference in cradle size? aka overall footprint when mounted to the helmet. one of the things that makes me reluctant to purchase the edge is how far the mount+main unit sticks out from the helmet
Being able to charge the unit while in use - I could use a power pack in my pocket or something, and never worry about "well, it said 13 hours, but I've been listening to music and talking a lot and only got 5 out of it". This is crucial! I'd love it if there were a way to mount an external antenna too, so I could have a Cardo in the chase vehicle. Be even better if it could connect to more than two devices (phone / gps), had a PTT feature instead of always listening (preferably remote on the handlebars), and could connect to 3 or more devices instead of just two so I could hook up to my bluetooth gmrs / ham radio in addition to the bikes tablet, and my regular phone (which AINT GOING ON A HANDLEBAR MOUNT!!!)

cuz realistically nobody is going to charge it while riding considering you’d need a battery pack of some sort in your pocket

You forgot to mention that the Neo is univeral and able to connect to other brand com devices through Bluetooth
