Not sure why Courbet's name is mentioned in the Monet group as he mainly operated in his own camp... though he did give advise to Monet while Monet was working on the huge canvas Lunch painting.
its interesting how one still recognize them as people, even though they are just a couple of brushstrokes. The brain fills in the missing information. It makes the paintings come alive because my brain has to step into the scene.
