@tommystrickland6268 Agreed. I feel like there's very little about the movie not to be impressed by (CGI left aside, because it's a product of its time) It did miss some of the gravity of the original film and the novel, but I thought it was a pretty solid adaptation.
@@ericthompson3982 even the CGI wasn’t what the director wanted. He shot it with practical F/X but (like so many jumping on the latest thing), the studio went back & slathered PS4 zombies over the actors! Speaks volumes the legacy sequel is following the director’s ending rather than “The Suits’”.

I just don’t understand WHY people ALSO don’t think Annie knew exactly what was happening. One quote that always gets lost in the sauce is when Annie asks if there are nuts in the chocolate Charlie is eating at her mother’s funeral. She then says “we don’t have the epi pen”. Like, why say that? It’s always unsettled me.
Most think I’m thinking way too hard and will make excuses for her. I DONT. She knew all along, she just didn’t want to believe it. ALSO, her and Peter conversing before he goes to the party has always felt so weird to me. It’s almost like she’s being FORCED to put Charlie at that party. Like the way she speaks… we take it as just her being stressed or in her head… what if something was controlling her… like a doll.
ALSO, When she finds Charlie, it’s not grief that’s making Annie break down… ITS CONFIRMATION that her family will be no more. None of what happened came as any surprise to her…. I’m sure of it.
I caught the black gloves in _Oppenheimer_ the first time, but that's because I knew about the theories surrounding her death, and I was waiting to see which of them the movie opted to show. As it turns out, they showed both of them, without ever telling us which one they believed.
