Great vid! I love the Zaps! Another really cool thing about the cv control is that you can use them as outputs, so you can send the alt control out to a wave folder or filter and use the Zaps to control it per sound, really increase the per step sound design potential

Good tip! I haven't had a chance yet to play with the outputs

Thanks for a great demo and tutorial video for one of my favorite modules. The PDF manual is very detailed, but really focused on 'what' and not 'how'. Finally a video that gives a great overview on how to get the most out Zaps!

I love the sounds, "Zaps" is what got me into synths and modular, play with a lfo and a filter for hours - but i am not sure if i want to dig into this complicated menu diving thing just for random zips and zaps - wish there was a dedicated zaps drumsounds module according to for example the recent ssf entity drum modules.

It comes with presets saved in it that you can get started with straight away, and the trick is to throw lots of modulation at it too to really change up the sound

Very welcome manual, I love the module but the manual is more like a reference and I did not have the patience to dive into it. Now I can finally learn how it works!

I've got this exact same setup with Zaps and the Tesseract Step Fader MKII, but for some reason, no matter what I try - I can't get the step fader to hit any of the sound slots past slot 6. I've tried changing the voltage input range on Zaps, but nothing seems to help. It will only trigger sound slots 1-6. Any idea what I should change setting wise to be able to hit the other sound slots 7-12? I can see you are able to hit sound slot 10 for example... Any help would be greatly appreciated! 😁👊

Did you check the output range slider in the sequencer in the Step Fader so it’s also outputting the full range of voltages?

Thanks for the reply! I finalllly got it sorted last night when I realized that the input voltage range on the Zaps is *per individual CV input*, and not a global setting... WHOOPS! It's working as intended now and super cool, too! Thanks for showing this awesome setup! 😁🙏👊 @@SynthDad

@@ElectronisoundsAudio Ah yes that's a good point - glad you got it sorted!

Reminds of a Syncussion, but better with the presets. Shame about that Behringer modular design touch though 🤭

another module with tiny screen and menu diving, pass.

The screen and menu are only for saving and loading presets. As you can see from the video the module is very accessible with faders and knobs for sound design
