Patriots will have another down year this year. It's OK. They still need to built the offense. Plus a rookie head coach and a rookie qb that most likley won't play till the end of the season. Patriots have the hardest schedule for a team that had a horrible record last year. It's brutal. I hope they end up with another top 5 pick. They need one more good draft and free agency to get this team back to winning ways.

Drake Maye is also a QB who can be taught, almost like a lab rat to a scheme. rare to see those types of QBs nowadays. Also, as a pats fan, I'm still worried about special teams. Yes, Barringer is solid, but the FGs have to be good this year. So Chad Ryland needs to walk out of the door.

By week 6, every talking head out there will be using the adjective "surprising," when talking about the Patriots. If the D stays healthy, they can hold their own with anybody. But they can't be left on the field for 3/4 of the game. If the offense can sustain drives and put up 20 ppg, I think the Patriots can come away with a W more often than not. I'm predicting an 8 win season. Go Pats!

You can call me a homer, but I watch a lot of college football and this team just got a boost in almost every key position more importantly I think Mayo is gonna bring a new philosophy that will translate to success on & off the field. 11-6 appearing in the wildcard round 👊🏾

Overly optimistic. Rookie qb. Rookie wide outs. Rookies on the O line. Rookie head coach. Just too many rookies in the mix. I think they're going in the right direction, but they're still 3-4 years away. Not to mention the AFC East is absolutely brutal. I think they win 6 games this year, Maye starts on the bench, they get another top 10 pick next year, and in 3 years, they'll be scary.

Cut juju/bourne if they dont show improvement after injury in training camp. Boutte-Baker-Polk-Osbourne-Douglas that right there may be the youngest but most underrated wr room aside from osbourne maybe but you know what i mean, not sure how old he is. Then at TE hooper/henry with bell to alternate between the two. As long as offensive line improves the running backs should be better. What film are you watching? Maye slides up into the back of guards all the time, and bails out of the pocket for no reason?
I've watched quite a few clips of Daniels and agree with his NFL draft profile literally says "Maintains passing platform when sliding around the pocket." "Has made footwork as a passer a priority during his career." Willing to plant his flag and attack defenses from the pocket." + "Full-field reader with good rhythm through his progressions." you can't get through your progression without solid pocket presence.
I played D1 quarterback and I'm questioning if you actually watched anything other than highlight reels. Daniels is way more refined as passer, his floor is much lower then Drakes- he's much less of a dual threat than people make him out to be. Drake Maye has horrible mechanics, hope the best for him but those are things that take years and years to change.
And if you're gonna make these claims, download the game film and show actually goal post angle views and breakdown his footwork and ability to read the field, it'll tell you all you need to know.

There is no evidence he can be taught. He has had fantastic coaching already but they were unable to get much out of him. Just the opposite, his bigest deficiency is an inability to consistently aply what he has ben coached to do. He does not seam to have a drive to get better. There was no aspectof his game that improved between two years ago and last year. He is a tall QB with + arm strength and questionable to pore skills. Atleast he should help us get high draft pics for the next 3 -4 years before we trade him for the equivolent of a bag of used footballs.

Talk about rose colored glasses. They have no offensive line, and didn’t improve it. They have poor receivers, and the QB is more like Trubisky, with a ceiling of a Tanehill. Polk is this year’s Harry. Slow, can’t run good routes. Add in a rookie head coach that was never even a coordinator, which is hire for the wrong reasons.
And Smith Shuster is a waste of money and a roster spot.
They do have a solid defense, but it’s an offensive game now.
Pats fan since the 60’s, so I’ve seen it all. Add in their division might be the toughest. They could be better than last year and still finish last, but the biggest issue is the QB. They are going to waste another 3 years before they realize it.

HC J. Mayo will be gone by Nov 2025. The Pats could have had the 6th pick and another 1st rounder. As a result, Drake Maye is surrounded w/ crap. Do I like Drake Maye?
