As an Everton fan I feel blessed to have him as manager. Wish all Everton fans could just be open minded enough to move past the fact he managed Liverpool.
He's everything Carlo was meant to be, and he's not the first to manage both Everton and Liverpool. Might be the most iconic by the end of it all though.
@@noeyedeer3202 He's the opposite of Carlo though. Carlo is the diva whisperer, he lets the coaches coach, and tries to manage egos and personalities. Rafa is hands-on, no stone unturned. It's probably not a coincidence that one could manage at Real Madrid. while the other was mocked. Says more about those players though.

i remember doing alot of work at rafa's house the place is absolutely amazing and hes the most down to earth man humble and everything he would sit with us and have a cuppa every morning offer us breakfast and everything still to this date one of the best jobs ive ever done never come past a customer so nice. also he pays well too ;)

As a Liverpool fan this man has done a lot I mean a lot for us. He put us back on the map with the big boys. Him joining Everton was odd but all the best to him.

It's incredible that the big clubs don't fight toe and nail for Rafa when they are looking for a manager. Spurs with Rafa would win the league in 3 years, they seem happy to go 60 years without a title though LOLz
Was the biggest asset Newcastle had more important than any player, if he actually gets the backing he wants and a good owner he will take Everton far
100% love Rafa as our manager, I took a lot of stick for suggesting his name before he was appointed from fellow Blues, & all me Red mates said either we'd do well with Rafa as he'd sort out our mess left behind by countless managers, or they said it'd be nice to get Rafa but they couldn't see it happening...
...I remember watching that night in Istanbul when Liverpool were 3-0 down at halftime with me Red mates, I was the only Blue there, & I said you're gonna win... I'd watched a lot of Liverpool games that season with me mates & I loved watching what Rafa did... I also remember saying back then that I'd love a manager like Rafa at Everton... the Universe obviously heard my wish & that dream is now reality.
...I even wrote a poem, called "Red Rafa's a Blue" before he was appointed but his name was thrown into the hat as a potential manager... got a few laughs & a bit of stick, but I had to write it as I had the same feeling I had back 3-0 down at halftime in Istanbul...
...you know the rest & I'm enjoying seeing us attack more instead of playing sideways or backwards.

It's mad because 90% of Liverpool and Everton fans are actually happy about Rafa being there! He's a legend for Liverpool and I love him to bits, he loves the city and even since he's left Liverpool his whole family have stayed here. I just hope we can see Everton and Liverpool fighting each other for the title once again. Obviously Liverpool winning most of them but still... legend rafa is always welcome!!!

Rafa Benitez is a top, top manager. I feel bad for him, each club he went to, the owner and board didn't support him. Only at Chelsea i felt he got the support from Roman but of course he'll never become a permanent manager at Chelsea due to their recent rivalries especially in the champions league. I hope at Everton he is treated well. Rafa is not only a great manager but a great person too. So far i am glad the Everton players are taking to him really well. Not whiny about not getting compliments from Rafa like Gerrard, Pennant and Carragher.

Liverpool fan here .. Rafa is an incredible manager... I hope he wins something with Everton. They both deserve it.
So far I'm pleased with the job he's doing with us. We look more aggressive, quicker and for the first time since Moyes was with us the team is working hard as a unit. Early days still but I am pleased with Benitez so far

Truth is Lpool will prob never hire him again so that chapter is past. He loves the city, is established in the city since his Lpool days and wants the best for the city. The best thing for the city is a strong Everton and Lpool, a good competitive rivalry. So, all is good.

I live in Liverpool - and this was all hyped by the media, you'd be hard pressed to find any Liverpool or Evertonian from Liverpool who has any real issue with Rafa going to Everton
It's only people who don't know the city or it's people, or what Rafa's relationship with the city which includes Everton as he rightly points out. The city is lucky to have him managing one of our teams.
