Good review. I have a amazefit which I use to rave about for it's durability but I never really used any of it's tracking features until recently and I'm now pretty disappointed with it. The sleep tracking is very poor and it keeps sending me generic messages practically every day claiming some readings which in all honesty is completely off just to get you to sign up for premium features on the app. I got it a while ago as a gift but for what they retail now for the accuracy that you get I personally feel it's not a good deal at all. Definitely won't use it for fitness tracing in gym or sleep tracking anymore. Hart Rate reading also not good at all in my experience. I now just use it when I go out gardening as I'm not too worried about bashing it up. Don't think I'm likely to pick up another one in the future.
That's funny that you raved about the durability! I think that is a weak point of most Amazfit products- display screen usually only tempered glass. Which Amazfit watch did you have? I have used Amazfit products for years, and there were a few older models that did not keep consistent HRs, but they have significantly improved. Agreed that sleep tracking sometimes gives optimistic scores. Also agreed that I don't like the pushing of subscription services- but of course it seems every company is trying to do that... I think the Amazfit Active delivers a few premium features that make it a good value. I can only speak of my experience, but I felt the Active was accurate for fitness tracking (steps, GPS, HR) when compared to Samsung Watch 6 classic. I will keep reviewing smart watches and hopefully you will find one that meets your needs. I am currently reviewing the Oneplus watch 2, double the price but runs WearOS with 4 day battery life.
Very good point! Thanks for mentioning. I certainly have enough bands to exchange it for, but I thought that most people would not want to have to buy a new band for their new watch. Or at the very least they could plan for it. thanks for watching!
Good review. I've been using the GTS Mini for several years and decided to replace it as it is getting old and after watching several reviews I decided on the Amazfit Active. One of the features I like is the sleep monitoring which seems to be quite accurate, at least for my wife and me. The breathing quality tracks well with the annual report I get from my CPAP machine so now I don't have to wait for the data to be downloaded to see how I'm doing.
yes, and you can do it on a few other workouts at well, cycling, treadmill, etc. when you pick a work out just swipe up and click on training and there you will find interval training.
I just got an active and it has a night mode but doesn't say what it does? I'm trying to find a way to stop it from lighting up whenever I move my arm. It's so bright.
OK, so a few things you can do. The half moon quick toggle is do not disturb, which will stop all notifications except alarms. you can also toggle this on by going to settings: preferences, and then toggle it on. here you can also have it auto enabled or you can pick a schedule. Just below DND is sleep mode- this will turn off wrist activation and dim screen- which again you can manually toggle on, set to smart enable or you can pick a schedule (set it for when you are usually asleep). you can also turn on the sleep screen (there is also a quick toggle for this- icon kind of looks like a bed) this will present only a dim screen with minimal info, when you push button. You can also manually turn off wake on wrist raise each night before bed by going to settings: display, and click wake on wrist raise. Or you can let the watch activate it automatically or you can set a specific schedule. Hopefully something in here was helpful- let me know. Enjoy your new watch!
Hii does quick reply to Facebook messenger work? Mine says successful, but no messages are actually sent. Quick reply works in SMS, instagram, and viber. Im using Samsung S21 FE
It is rated for 5ATM so should be able to take in water (only fresh water recommend). But these are the water sports tracked, Outdoor boating, Sailing, Kayak, Dragon boat, Indoor surfing, Water skiing, Rowing.
Want more than a budget smartwatch but don't want to pay premium prices? Check out the Amazfit Active. It does all the basics well, has great fitness tracking features, up to 14 day battery life, you can make and take phone calls with this, and it also adds several features that are usually reserved only for premium smartwatches.
Amazing review through and cover what I needed to know thanks!
Thank you! Thanks for comment! 😊

@@techgadgets100 thank you!
When we ask alexa it shows the answer through watch inbuilt speaker or only shows as text ?
It will read the answer to you through the speaker.

Sorry, I don't use FB Messenger and I'm not sure why your replies would not go through. If I find any issues, I'll let you know.
Good review but I want the customisation one that you refer to but it is private!?
that should be publishing tomorrow- I moved it up for you. I hope it is helpful 🙏
Are the "complications" tappable like on galaxy and apple watches?
Yes, probably not on every watch face but for all the ones I tried all the complications bring up the app or function.
Is there a compass and altimeter in this watch?
Yes to the compass, no to the altimeter.
Is there Zepp Flow functionality? ❤
As of now, no. Likely this will be reserved for the more "premium" watches
Is this water resistant? Can I swim with this ?
It is rated for 5ATM so should be able to take in water (only fresh water recommend). But these are the water sports tracked, Outdoor boating, Sailing, Kayak, Dragon boat, Indoor surfing, Water skiing, Rowing.
