I mean I love the idea of Cas & Dean but the actors are hilarious to do this shit. My brother and his friends always make these kinds of jokes and a cousin of mine does the same, I think it's mostly one of those 'boy' things, but I hear girls do it too now.
I find it fun because my friends actually act like that and most of them are straight, they did that kind of thing with almost every one but me because I'm lesbian. But it's so fun to see them XD
I think it just depends on how comfortable in your sexuality you are. You know, once you let go of toxic masculinity or femininity and you can joke about it without feeling a whole lot of tension, it's really not a big deal. These guys have just been friends so long they are comfortable around each other, but I will admit that all the fan shipping doesn't really help, especially with Destiel, I think. Misha is hilarious, but I don't doubt that even if there was no evidence or sexual tension between the characters it wouldn't change the way he milks it on stage.
