My truck driving friend started at Greyhound out of Seattle and transferred to Chattannooga, and retired in 1966 with 33 years, and will tell him about this website as he drove many of the Scenic Cruisers,Silversides. He & I delivered many new trucks of all kinds out of Tennessee,MACK Plant in McCungie,PA and he is now 97 and he made his last run with me in 2018 at age 90 He & I have 130 years, and well over 10 million miles coast to coast,so like many of you other drivers,we have been around the blcok a time or two ,His name is Don Henderson,Trenton,Georgia.
My mother worked at Greyhound in Seattle. She sold tickets and worked information. As kids, we rode all over the Western United States at discount and for free. I think it was in 1975 that I bought the $99 ticket going anywhere. I rode from Seattle to D.C and back.
I wish I knew the number for my mc7. I believe it is the next to last mc7 ever made. Serial number 9692, unit number 12504. It spent time as a Greyline and ended up with 24 windows on the top.
I have to ask, does your MC-7 have an automatic transmission or is it manual? I read that Greyhound dumped their later built MC-7s onto their affiliates like Gray Line of New York (Walters Transit Corporation) or Red Top in Miami. Also I think your bus may have been Greyhound Lines 3184, part of the fleet of six buses numbered 3180-3185; serial number 9688-9693, unit number 12500-12505. These were assigned out West per an uncompleted MC-7 roster on angelfire. I've since read that some of the MC-7s with automatic transmission were assigned out West.
Yes, it’s in that group of six. I have that Angelfire page saved. I think my bus number would have been 3184. It does have an automatic trans. As well no evidence that it was once a manual. When I pulled the fiberglass off the back the rear window still had grey line tours on it. It still has remains of the original greyhound paint under the other paint. When I bought it, it had a typical rv painjob. I only wish they had not cut the original top off the front and installed the cap.@@KevinCNYC1991

Did 102 have orange seats
Depends on the bus company. They chose the seat colors for their buses.
For Greyhound 102 would be rainbow stripe seats. The 102A3, MC-12, 102D3, and Pepsi livery DL3 had the rainbow seats.
