What plasma cutter and torch is that you’re using? Im hoping to get an arcdroid next year but am stuck on the plasma cutter side of it. Those cuts you got looked the best Ive seen on these arcdroid videos but maybe it just comes down to the settings..?

That's pretty slick. About the only thing I can foresee going wrong is the display getting scratched from shop hands. A glass-screen upgrade might be pretty nice. He'll have to cut himself a hangar/holder for the control box. It should be fun!

I’ve purchased one and I had the same issue.. the controller needed a holder. Over on my channel, I have a video of making one… I used a computer monitor arm and made a holder for the end of it.. it pivots and pushes out of the way when not in use 😎.

That looks like a really cool machine.
What is the minimum thickness of material it can cut?

People normally ask how thick it will cut , Car body panels are normally 0.7 mill , cuts that no problem , I see no reason why it would not cut thinner .

Could I take you up on the offer of the 3D printed centre cap for a IPT60 torch?
I’m happy to pay for it plus the postage.

It needs to be around £1500 instead of nearly £3000 for the unit without plasma cutter to be attractive to the mass market. 2 or 3 years and the chinese copiers will bring out a solid quality version in price.

I agree, personally I'd want the plasma cutter including for £1500 too, the one I got from Lidl a few years back were £120.
I'd love to try and start a little business from my garage, making signs, brackets etc but the cost of such CNC stuff is ridiculous.

Andrew the inventor is Canadian, so nothing American about it!😂 it takes a few days to get your head around the system but once you do it’s magic. I use mine almost every day for something!

They are very good. My brother has had one for a while. I think they could do withsome improved drawing functions.

The easy way is to draw on a PC in comfort then just use a memory stick .There is loads of free CAD software .

@@doubleboost Yes it is John, but the concept of the thing is to be self contained, so good in-built drawing would be ideal .It doesn't lack much , afew tangent pickups, radii and dimensionable objects, would probably do.
