The "it doesn't actually give you 100 extra armour" thing is very annoying, I hope they patch that ASAP.
I don't mind the new ult, obviously I like having the stun back, but overall the change just annoys me: It doesn't annoy me because the new ult is necessarily bad, but because people like Flats won't stop making sensationalist content saying "OMG BRIG STUN IS BACK AND THEYRE GOING TO KILL THE GAME SHE'S SO OP" and it's just simply not true... Her new ult is fine.. but not game breaking in any sense, and in fact may be less impactful in some ways than how Rally was before.

It's not fine, it's one of the worst ults in the game, if not the worst.
brig is suppost to protect the other support and this ult helps in doing that way more than her old ult. how tf are u gonna say that this ult is less impactful when u can literally stop genji blade with it?
Flats be having the most to say about supports considering he throws every game I watch him play as support in qp. At least when the other streamers in his play support they actually try
TBH I usually respect Flats's takes on a lot of OW topics, but ever since Season 4 dropped his bias against Support has been on full display
The most annoying thing is that the devs thought a huge nerf to health packs would be in order for this "buffed" Ult. Just ridiculous...

on maps like Numbani or Rialto, you almost have to be right at the edge to heal someone up top. Makes it extremely tough to cover flankers
The one thing I appreciate most about this vid is that we got to see the "wtf is this new ult?" phase all the way to "oh ok I think I get it now". Keep up the good work

@@shadowdark1111ify idk how considering brig is supposed to protect the other support and this ult literally has everything in it to protect a support. u can stop genji blade with it, u can shield ur other support, u can boop people, etc.

@@fashionovawigs but thats literally the whole point of the characters existence tho. brig was made to be anti dive, who usually gets dived? the other support. if u dont like how the character is supposed to be played then play another character, thats like if i said "i think pocketing dps with mercy is lame, i dont think thats the direction they should take her in" no instead i dont play mercy cause i think she's lame, i play ana instead.
@@iSuckAtGamesGG yes but rally has never been a defensive ult, it is meant to be the most agresive sup during the ult, I really don’t mind being defensive and protect other basically, but this ult is shit compared to the old rally, if ur armor is gone ur death instantly
A bit disappointed they leaned more into defense for her ult. She already plays defensively majority of the time, the ult should give her that one chance to be aggressive
True, the previous one might be weak and have no stun but atleast I can play aggresive with the Ult but now It's like playing defensive in the entire game also the heal range nerf felt crazier than ult rework for me
it could be like that, but trust me a lot of people would be mad about it. like for example flats tought ow1 brig would be back, and he was shouting that she would ruin the game again. i can't blame he, at first it seemed like that way... but still i think he exagerated.

I feel as though the extra defensive properties like better shield, allows you to play far more aggressively so i love it
The ult needs to reset the cool down on bash and it will be ... OK at best
the amount of times ive popped rally only to realize my bash is still on cooldown...
Would be pretty ass to face the one shot combo of bash, rally, bash, swing, whipshot for a lot of people tbh.

If you could stun immediately after popping the ult or have the ult reset the bash cooldown it would be better imo.
The fucking activation time on this already garbage Ult is just insane. Just let me bash instantly... and the ult would still be bad.
@@Winterhe4rt The instantaneous stun at least makes sense in this ult - if they’re trying to make it defensive as opposed to brawly then you need that instant stun to make it work. By the time I’m hitting my ult and my stun finally comes online the genii with his blade has already murdered me.
@@Solontire maybe its because i play ana but if i suspect that genji has blade i save my sleep dart. do the same for shield bash, its not that hard
also u may not realize it but the genji probably waited for u to use shield bash to blade, if it was re-activated when u ult there would be no counter play towards ur stun

@@iSuckAtGamesGG Amazing how you dont understand the issue at hand lmao. You cant "save" the shield bash. You need the activation (and activation time) from the Ult and have to WAIT till the Bash is available. This has nothing to do with its cooldown...
@@Winterhe4rt i thought u ment that bash should immediately get off cooldown when u activate the ult like genji dash does cause some people unironically want that (not naming any names here)

IMO, popping ult should reset shield bash CD, like genji dash. Bash should also be immediately useable, no wait time for the lil flag to pop out.
IDK if this change makes Brig better or worse, but it certainly FEELS less fun to play. I really liked the pacing of previous Brig, now it just feels slow and hyper reactive. Really miss the 30m packs too.
A million times this. I'd argue it's a nerf overall, including the pack distance nerf. But that doesn't matter nearly as much as it's far less fun.

It's really crazy how blizzard keeps making the visuals for brig diametrically opposed to how to optimally play her. If I were a low elo player and saw that when I pop rally I get a rien shield and armor, I'm 100% going in like a tank, aoe bashing everything.
True, the previous Brig ult always played more to aggresive side since without Ult, always playing defensive and now Blizzard not only nerf the heal range... They also want people to play Her ult defensively

As someone who doesn’t play brig much I prefer her old rally. It felt way more aggressive and I didn’t die as fast. Now I use it to stun people out of their ults, like a Moira if I can get close enough.
brig isn't supposed to be aggressive, her role is literally to protect the other support. if u want an aggressive support play lucio

I feel the same way with this new ult. Everyone was saying the stun is back and it's OP, but this ult feels sooo bland now.
I second on the junker queen'ult interrupt being a huge one, although, I wanna point out you still get the bleed and purple health. (But if you do it properly, you can save your team and that's what matters)

Classic blizzard, they see the character has a problem, so they asked them selves “ how can we make this character worse” they took mercy, gave her more ammo and screwed up her timing then take Bragg and reduce her healing and make her slow and less fun to play. They seem to have no idea.

I miss her old ult lol. Honestly I feel like most people, including Blizzard, just don't really understand how Brig is supposed to be played in general. It's really funny looking at all those top 500 pros that were crying about how broken it was going to be and then we get this.

@@iSuckAtGamesGG As more of a defensive backline support that is good at punishing dive. I think that a lot of people think that she's more of a in your face brawl hero when she really doesn't have the ability to do that anymore. Like her new ult for example wants you to get in someones face and shield bash them to stun them when that's your only mobility, especially since they nerfed the speed boost you get during ult as well, and she doesn't have the health or sustain to stay there for long. It just doesn't really fit her playstyle anymore.

@@Drybread I have been saying for quite a while that Rally should not allow Bash to stun, but should allow Whip Shot to stun. It makes it more of a skill shot ability. You have to aim a lot better and more precisely with Whip Shot than with Shield Bash. They could also slightly reduce the cooldown of Whip Shot during ultimate so you could get three stuns in the 10 second window. I'm not sure on that part. That's probably way too strong. But I think tying the stun to a movement ability is the biggest glaring problem and why I overall suggest the change to Whip Shot stunning. Although I admit one downside is that shields can block your Whip Shot.
Anyway, putting it on Whip Shot would be much better overall I think. Plus, Whip Shot has more range than Shield Bash, so you'd have more range on your stun ability during your ultimate.

I'm really not happy with the changes. I want at least 30m pack range back. That is a massive nerf for no reason. Ult is also rough and needs improvements like bash cooldown reset upon activation, ult charge cost reduction. And when it ends you lose your armor instantly, leftover armor should just stay without restoration of course. I don't play much Overwatch since the changes tbh, really annoyed. I hope they will at least fix the armor bug and give her pack range back.

Tbh I like this ult a lot more, but the health pack range nerf was unnecessary. They were already basically the mylar balloons of healing output, nerfing them in any way is dumb.
At least now with the ult she actually has some utility & thought process while using ult with the CC stun instead of just "me unga bunga """""support"""" dive into backline"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is a little confused in how to use this ult, I realized it's great against soldier and reaper ultimates, but just in a brawl it's pretty awful
ur not supposed to be brawling with brig, thats like saying "wow having symmetra in a poke comp is horrible" yeah because sym wasn't ment to poke like how brig wasn't ment to brawl. brig is supposed to counter dive, thats literally her whole reason for existing

I prefer the old one, but I could definitely come to like this new version if they tweaked it a bit.
The stun on ults or cooldowns can be massive. But the thought of relying on brigs for that while I solo Q, I admit I'm a little scared lol.

@DrSquid I'm a solo Q brig as well. Before this buff I started seeing some good ones. 🤣 think we got HolyShiftKid to thank for that one. But this new change. I think people are gonna rush with it a lot
@@OneNutReactions I'm in the bottom tiers because I rushed to play ranked which I regret.... But I almost got to gold with old brig, but with the new brig changes she just has less impact. It's just a lot harder to carry with her (as if carrying with support wasn't hard enough!)

I agree with everything, EXCEPT for the fact that rally is purely defensive. The main difference is that, like you pointed out, rally gets worse the longer it goes on. So in many scenarios, you WILL be using rally defensively. Though this doesn't mean you can't be aggressive with it. What i like to do is if there is a squishy that i can reasonably/safely get to, i will walk up, pop rally,and burst them down. If you don't get the kill, you have 100 armor, a giant ass shield, and (hopefully) your team to bail you out.
Even if you aren't PUSHING with rally, you should be looking to gain as much offensive value with rally as you can, swings, a well timed bash on the tank thats running away, dont shield unless you are dangerously low or need to block burst/important abilities. If all you are doing is holding shield and giving your allies extra health, go zen or lucio, their ults will help your team far more. Rally is a selfish ultimate, with allied overhealth as a bonus.
The only thing I don’t like with Overwatch is relying on my team to bail me out. Most of the time they won’t anyway and that’s how I would become more tilted so I don’t try to put myself in a situation where I need lots of resources. Otherwise yuh destroy them
Yeah, I find the best way to get value is to use it to stop ults, stop aggressive pushes, or as a second life. I don't really like it as much as the old one. You just stop the ult, get an elim, and then just stand there with your shield up doing nothing until it runs out. Not really that fun. If you were grouped, I can see people using it aggressively by stunning the enemy rein to get your rein's shatter off, but I play solo so that's not much of an option for me.
I did that 150 dmg burst on Sunshine playing tracer, didn't realize you could do that at the time, was funny as shit lol. Also stunned a JQ out of ult, that was insane, I didn't know you could do that either at the time
My main issue with it is the lack of regen. She’s so fragile now. 100 armor (that doesn’t even work right) is gone instantly and then you’re just normal brig with a bigger shield lmao

One way I've had some luck using this ult is insuring a steamroll... Say your on attack and one of your teammates gets a kill, popping rally and stunning a high priority target so they die as well... Their team is unable to regroup and have to retreat or die... It has saved me many games
I’ve never had that happen. Every time I use brigs ult I don’t even get a chance to stun people because the ult runs out and no enemies are close to me.
@@Life-pq8xb I usually just feel for when it's right... I don't use ult then look for a target... I react to the fight and how it's going if I see there will be an option, I get close, then ult and bash and usually make a decision to press or pause... Sometimes it's good just to use it for the shield so the tank can get heals. But if their down a player, I'll usually press in swinging and try to secure a second kill... This is all dependant on what's all going on though
The health pack nerf is soo irritating, soo many times my teamate is just a little too far away to i cannot heal them and they die

I want to see a brig jumping from high ground to stun a sigma ult in the air. Btw her ult needs to last much longer.
I don't get the idea this is less fun. Ever since the ult change, this has been the most fun I have had with Brig since Overwatch 2 started. I pretty much abandoned the character at the beginning, but now I am finally having fun again. Brig shouldn't be able to 1v5 the entire enemy team alone anyways. Just be smart when you use it. Really just get the use out of your stun to disrupt the enemy team and then clean up. Don't use it when you're alone and you will be fine, especially if you still have your other support near you. Can't wait to see how this feels once the bug gets fixed.

why is everyone shitting on this ultimate? the old Rally was bad, not only in effect but also design. now it's so much better and actually fits her playstyle. also it isnt purely reactionary, it has strong benefit over its entire duration, you can realistically replace your tank if they die using this Rally, that level of value was impossible before

I thought they always called the Rally changes a rework instead of a buff. Also purely on me, I find the new Rally quite fun as a defensive ultimate to stun key targets and preventing dives

Brig is still not good because they reduced her rally speed. Rally only last a couple of seconds and takes a long to build up.

Considering the average positioning Brig should be in, it doesn't hurt terribly. Mostly makes it a little harder to assist people caught out of position or tanks going deep. You can definitely feel it when you are trying to pack a retreating dive tank and it takes a little longer to get in range.

A team wide stuns is very good in High ranks the amount of Ults you can cancel and Peel you can provide. If you Main tank dies this ult, lets you be the tank.
It could be a bit backwards where high ranks play better around the stun since they position a bit better than low ranks but I can still get value with the stun in high ranks too
Hope this gets changed... Just after I got good with her I now just get annoyed when playing.

I timed it once when the enemy rein shattered and protected my entire team from it. That was the only time I ever felt useful with the ultimate, I still prefer the old one.
They need to give her movement speed and regen back.
