He doesn't want Du Cheng to be mad at him. 😊 He definitely went to see Du Cheng to admit he was wrong. He said he was able to predict Ollie's plan to commit murder but couldn't predict she would change her mind despite being able to understand people's emotions.

@chixkgoddess8499 their convo at the riverbank concluded what they had argued with one another about in the last few episodes and i love it so much! shen yi wasn't totally wrong when he used his knowledge in psychology and criminal profiling to find a pattern and, as he called it, predict the criminals' potential moves. however, as du cheng clearly told shen yi, cops' duties weren't all about preventing crimes. a huge part of it is to collect evidences and solve cases. ollie might show some red flags, but she committed no crime. quickly judging ollie based on her personality traits might lead to prejudice, which can be consequent. they follow their own ideals due to the difference in their backgrounds and professions. it's nice to see them respect each other's point and come to an agreement! and yessssss they usually seeks the other's approval. remember when du cheng waited for shen yi's compliment on his hand drawing? that moment was priceless 🥺😭
