when I was a small kid my father played this song all the time and I loved it. Today I'm 42 and feel the same emotions playing this on my guitar. No more music like that- pure emotions.
Same exact experience for me. I actually learned to play guitar because of this particular song. That was over thirty years ago and I'm forever grateful for learning to play.
That's on point bruh... Am teaching myself on my acoustic guitar 🎸 since I don't have an electric guitar yet. Watching and learning the tabs. Let that girl sing my brother...ooohhh hell yeahh 🎸🎸🎸😎😎😎💪💪
The best Santana song with the longest sustain. Here you are again playing the hell out of your guitar. My two favorites that I can't seem to keep interested enough to finish.
This is a fantastic "learn-how-to" play guide for Europa. You make it look so simple for us visual learners. Europa is one my 1st of my top ten tunes. Keep up the fantastic presentations.
Thank you for the wonderful guitar songs with Tabs and the great sound you get from your Stratocaster. It goes to show you do not necessarily need Humbuckers to play Santana! Best wishes to you.
Me encanta Carlos Santana, digo, que hombre que te enchina la piel con su guitarra,y esas tres hermosas mujeres,Dios mío!!! Pero la energía de Lila...inigualable!!!
I have bought an electric guitar after playing acoustic for five years. I HATE IT. One of these day I'll throw through the window fm the 6th floor. Impossible to play songs. I know nothing about muting. Your touch is so clear. Anyway good video and lesson. Subscribed.
Hello and thnx a lot for your comment and visit. Much appreciated! One advice, don't throw your electric guitar out of the window! :-)) If you like, I have another RUclips channel for beginners with song melodies without any technical stuff. Only the pure notes without bends, slides, muted notes etc... You can play along with the melody line of a song or songs that you already know. I get a lot of positive feedback on that channel. If you want your finger technique and fretboard knowledge to develope in a fun way then on that channel there will definitely be something for you you can practise on. Here below is the link to my other RUclips channel. ruclips.net/channel/UCP4MoggCLAVsyV1v6-TZs6g Let me know if it helps you a bit further. All the best. PtG :-))
@@PlaythatGuitar Thanks for the advice. I have subscribed also on the suggested channel. It's cool and useful. But I am looking to learn about the electric guitar, the acoustic I can manage and I have a lot of fun with it. Thanks again.
Hey that's awesome and good to read that you can manage the acoustic guitar already. :-)) Take your time to master the electric guitar and remember how you got so far on the acoustic. The same mentality will bring you also in the right direction. :-))
Hello and thnx a lot! I started playing when I was about 10 years old but started seriously playing in bands in my 20's. That's a whole lot of years ago. :-))
I’ve been playing abit over 6-7 months and i Can play now the first 2 minutes and alot og other short solos, Santana Songs is awesome for learning lead play. The thing with guitar is you Can always improve techniqie and feel, no matter how many times you’ve played a song😁
In my region, in music school for 12-17 year olds, this solo is considered second year finally level. If you aim is to play it as good and you know nothing, 1 year of regular practice is enough in my opinion (depends on dedication, a bit on your fingers health and strength). But I recommend teacher assistance to learn faster, because it helps pin pointing wrong notes or details. PS: 15y+ guitarist here, I played this in my early years, didn't finish it. Now I am back with way different approach and awareness of the instrument. Learn any instrument man it is a life company. Cheers.
Great lesson, Just a quick question, I've been playing acoustic guitars all my life and this is the first time I have tackled a solo . My guitar is a Parker electric guitar and a little Marshal VS30R amp. What kind of set up do you use to sound like in this tutorial. Like I said, I'm pretty new at electric set ups. Thank you!
Hello and thnx a lot for your visit to my RUclips channel. Great that you picked up the electric guitar besides your acoustic. My gear: Guitar: Fender American Stratocaster Amp: Fender Princeton 112Plus Effects Processor: Boss GT3 To get the sound for this song I used the following effects: Turbo overdrive, reverb, chorus, a bit delay, compressor and an equalizer. On my amp I colored with the treble and bass. When you can affort it it's handy to get a small effects processor. Zoom, Boss, Digitech, Roland. It doesn't have to be expensive. Put that one between your guitar and amp and you can play with the sounds that you like. Hope this was helpful. All the best and have great days ahead. PtG. :-)
Hello. I get that question a lot so I made a video about my gear a while ago. Here's the link to that vid. ruclips.net/video/6EJmMUyF-24/видео.html All the best. PtG
Hello. In my case I had to boost the sound with compressor and sustain effect otherwise the sound wouldn't last that long as in the vid. On the other hand, there are much better guitar pickups on the market that can provide a longer and better sound and sustain than I have.
Hello and thnx a lot for your visit. The one thing I'd learned is that you have to support your bending finger with one or two other fingers. So mostly you'll bend with your ringfinger, then you have to support that finger with your middle finger. Hope this was a bit helpful. PtG

Everytime i bend the high note i am afraid to breack the string😂
Strings are tougher than you think, besides if you do break one it’s a cheap fix.
It's funny because it happened to me😂 hit my head, but nothing serious.
You are not a player without a broken string. First I ever broke was low E.
Omg same but you realize it's fine when you realize it's only a normal bend to the next step😂
I've been learning this song for 6 months. I have broken the first string more than 5 times with the same song. what do you think now?
great job master!! like that performance!
