best video yet. breaking it down step by step is great for someone like me who up until recently all i’ve done is hunt and wanting to get into fishing for walleye i’m learning so much thanks keep it up
Tom, I'm really appreciating your videos. Getting some insights into your thought process, how to make use of the equipment and identifying key places to start, is so helpful for me. I've been really wanting to expand my hunts to new waters and think this will help. Keep up the great work!
Fantastic idea on this series. I have never seen this done before with all three steps. Thanks for doing this, you are really answering some questions on the learning curve. Much appreciated.
Another awesome vid thanks! One thing though - you should mention to your viewers that in order to set depth highlights and shallow water zones you require the hummingbird lakemaster maps and it won't work on the navionics chip.
Dang, you need to come fish our little lakes. You can limit out in an hour or so of perfect sized eaters in way under 100 acre lakes, with very little structure and in 12-18' of water. Love the Canadian shield for cold, shallow water fishing...
Thanks Tom for the info. I need to get one of those locators. Makes fishing easier for sure. Always love your videos. Very informational. Hooked up! Fish on! Lol!
How about a complete tutorial from start to finish on the use of a fish finder. I'm new to fish finders and will be like purchasing one over winter. Do these things just show structure or will they also show size and species of fish?
Tom: I really appreciate all your videos. Do you think that you would ever consider doing a video of Lake Wissota near Chippewa Falls Wisconsin? It consists of 5500 Acres of water with 5 inlets. Including the Chippewa River system????
Watch all your videos religiously! Do you have any insight on a reservoir in Wyoming, named Boysen. A friend and I will be in a tournament there in a week. Oh and i just got a helix 7 G3 with mega SI and gps nav.
Have you ever fished Shell lake? My parents just bought a place on the north west end. I’ve looked at some maps and it seems like there are a bunch of fish cribs around. Is it a decent walleye lake?
Hello love your videos, this summer I got a helix 7 with Di and side, I saw in the manual to never have it on with the transducer out of the water. I see you do that a lot is there a way to shit off the transducer?
Quick question. I am assuming you have a helix 9. I have a helix 5 with down imaging. To compensate for the smaller screen, should I set the range lower than 50 feet? Or does 50 feet still produce the best image. Thanks.
50 ft is about as low as I would go. Or keep all your targets off one side and set it to just read left. Then you can set it to 80 feet reading only left th or right
Bro you should start reeling in them HUGE EYEZ with your FEET... work them CHICKEN LEGS.... haha.. I wanna go slay some eyes with ya.. MONSTERS in our lake in northern minnesota I can guarantee you at least one 30+ inch fish on a single weekend

Now you're in my neck of the woods. Good luck, here again you make it what it is.
I fish this lake a lot and I like the structure you picked. I can't wait to see how well you did. Great videos. Keep up the good work.
Great info! I like the high lighting technique, it sure makes those spots jump out.
Fantastic can’t wait for part 2!
Very cool informative video! But I love seeing those walleyes! Good luck, cant wait to see that video!
That hummingbird really makes finding the zone you want fairly easy. I might need to update my electronics.

I enjoy your conversational style of teaching and analysis. What are the good internet sites for lake charts?
I just use lake master on my graph

I'd love to hear tips about finding these underwater structures and points when you don't have navmaps of the lake, and don't have a fish finder
