  • The Nagoya Municipal Subway N3000 series (名古屋市交通局N3000形) is a rapid transit electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the Transportation Bureau City of Nagoya on the Nagoya Subway Tsurumai Line in Japan since March 2012.
    It was delivered the day before from Nippon Sharyo's Toyokawa plant to JR Kasadera station, and on 29 January 2022 it was transferred from JR Kasadera station to Nagoya Rinkai Railway Toko station - Meiden Chikko station - Meitetsu Higashi-Nagomako (East nagoya port) station - Oe station.
    In the vicinity of Meiden Chikko and Higashi-Nagoya-Ko stations there are some of the most valuable heavy rail and heavy rail level crossings in Japan.
    These level crossings are only used for the delivery of new vehicles.

    この映像ですが、名鉄の古い車輌が廃車回送されて行く光景は、何度も見ていますけど、逆に名古屋市営地下鉄の新造車輌が入場回送される光景は初めて見ました。 名鉄築港線は、朝夕の旅客輸送だけでなく、一日中重宝されていますね‼️ これからも活躍を期待しております。

    I never knew Japanese diesel engines had air whistles!

      Its most common on these diesel locomotives

    • @CFRTrainSpotter
      @CFRTrainSpotter 2 года назад

      Old Japanese locomotives have whistles, not just diesels. Other examples include EF64/65/66/81 electric locomives of JR Freight.
      Also its not a Japan-only thing, in the ex-USSR diesel and electric locomotives (TEM2, TEP70, VL10/80, ČS7/8) have whistles besides an air horn aswell.

    Does the caboose and the two power units belong to Nagoya Subway Tsurumai Line?

    • @user-citrus-ph
      @user-citrus-ph 2 года назад +1

      Power Unit is ND552,belong to 名古屋臨海鉄道(Nagoya seaside railway) .
      Caboose is ヨ8000系(Series yo-8000),belong to JR東海(Central Japan Railway Company)

      @@user-citrus-ph Thank you. That was very helpful. I am reading about 名古屋臨海鉄道 on Wikipedia now. I had thought JR東海 was only Shinkansin. One learns something everyday. ND552 units are very functional and well designed. Again, thank you for you help.

    I want to know what that small black rail car is. It looks like a baby caboose, but that can't be right. Is it a crew car for the crew working on delivering the subway train?

    • @gold0808
      @gold0808 2 года назад +3

      I think you mean the conductor's car.

      Yes, it’s typical crew car in Japan.

    • @user-wk6ks4dc7j
      @user-wk6ks4dc7j 2 года назад +2

      This car is called a "conductor's car" and the prefix of the model number is "ヨ(Yo)". There are only a few of these cars and they are quite rare.
      It is in a similar position to the Caboose in North America and the Guard's van in Europe.
      The original purpose of these cars was to carry support crews on the tail of freight trains, but that was until the 1990s, and they are no longer used for that purpose.
      Since the body of the vehicle is simple and easy to modify,it can be used as a relay or buffer when connecting trains with different standards of couplers, for example, as in the case of this transport, or as a support for steam locomotives that are too old to be equipped with the latest safety devices.
