Plenty been lied about in history whenever it’s politically expedient! I have a book from the 1800s called Ur of the Chaldees by a lady called Anna Wilkes, in the insert it says, with the permission and consensus of her husband. It says many Brit’s at that time believed Troy was in the London area of Britain (Cambridge, near the Wash) and the Welsh at that time believed they were the sons of Gomer. Apparently, up until the late 20th century the British origin story and was taught in schools was many Brits descended from the Trojans (as far back as the time of Brutus.) I have copies of articles from several MSM notable papers claiming 72% of the British belong to the same DNA haplogroup as King Tut. 85% from Scotland and 92% from Anglesey, Wales. Plato, Timaeus: Ancient Greek - Athenian laws and public offices were closely related to civic institutions, the center of which was the Prytaneum. Magistrates were called prytaneis, and every executive post prytaneia. The Welsh name for Britain is Prytan or Pretan. The welsh language is so similar to Hebrew the same syntax can be used for both and it’s basically to talk like Yoda from Star Wars. In 1675 Charles Edwards published A number of Welsh Cambro-Brittanic Hebraisms in which he shows that whole phrases in Welsh can be closely paralleled by whole phrases in Hebrew. Apparently old Cornish is even closer to ancient Hebrew! One of the more common combinations of hieroglyphs is the 'sun and goose. The sun = Y Rha or Yr Haul, which phonetically gives Rha = power Goose is Gwydd which is another one of those Welsh words with wonderful dual meanings Gwydd also means "a state of recognition, or knowledge; presence". So taken as two words that form a sentence (and allowing for Welsh word order) we have - "knowledge of the power/God". The marvellous thing with this frequently seen combination is that the two words can also be combined to form one longer word that adds even more meaning - Phonetically Yr Rha - Gwydd = Yr arglwydd = The Lord! Yr Arglwydd is still the term used in Welsh Chapels to proclaim the Lord (Jesus.) Cymroglyphics by Wilson and Blackett. Reprinted by Ross Broadstock. Thucydides (5th Century Greek historian) wrote about the Taulentians, of the Illyrian race', who were living on the shores of the lonian Gulf, on the west coast of Greece. We know from classical mythology that a certain Galatea gave birth to three sons: Galas, Celtus and Illyrius, who founded the three major Celtic peoples: the Gauls, the Celts and the Illyrians, so that Professor Henri Hubert's hypothesis" that the ancient Greeks had been in contact with Celtic culture through the intermediation of the Illyrians is thus mentioned by two ancient sources.

I was talking to a recent graduate of 22 years of age the other day. She informed me that the ancient Celtic Britons were black. This was quite the revelation when I went to shave and saw my pale rather palid face. I said to her that, as an Englishman with a strong Welsh and Cornish ancestry too I'd imagine you will find the Britons were of my colouring... Of course she would not have this. I find it rather enlightening to be on an island of such young minds of great knowledge.

None because it didn't happen, DEI in history is a lie. 1948 and downhill since then, that's black history in Britain with the exception of very few examples.
I was watching a couple of videos on utube just yesterday that showed many photos of people throughout London during the 1800's & early 1900's & not one black face was amongst them. Today it would be hard to find one white face amongst them.
The biggest laugh I had the other week was Rudolph Walker being interviewed by Cat Deely and Ben Shepherd. Walker talked about how badly Windrush people were treated especially the nurses who came to work here. He said that 80% of nurses in the UK during those days were black. Really how I couldn't believe what I was hearing I had to rewind that section as I thought he had said 18%. I looked up the census info which didn't back up his statement. There were a handful of nurses here. There aren't 80% of black nurses here now so where the hell did he get that from.
It's like these people who say that black people "saved the NHS." 5000 trainee nurses arrived from Africa and the Caribbean to work in the NHS between 1956 - 1971. Out of a total of 250,000 NHS nurses in that period that is 2%. Are they really saying that 1 in 50 black nurses saved the NHS?? Compare that with the 13,000 nurses recruited from northern and southern Ireland over the same period. At one time one in every 12 nurses was Irish. Why is no-one saying that the Irish saved the NHS or at least acknowledging the Irish contribution?
Instead of bullshiting about how this country was fifty years ago he should've stuck to telling us why he kept calling his next door neighbour a ' white honky ' .
Simon, perhaps you could write a book entitled "Debunking Black History in Britain"? Otherwise, this stuff will acquire the patina of established fact.
I'm sure there was but we're not talking millions or even thousands, there might have been just a handful of individuals here and there. Given how mindsets, slavery, economics and such like worked in the ancient world 99% of people simply didn't travel beyond 20-30 miles from their homes. When I say slavery I mean people of all colours, creeds, ages and religions were bought and sold as slaves including white people. The only people who travelled widely across continents were traders on the "Silk Road", soldiers with conquering armies and where it was safe to do so pilgrims on religious visits to holy sites. This ridiculous idea that we had diversity and inclusivity 2000 years ago or further back, is just typical of the liberalist agenda trying to rewrite history.
Of course it is, you'd have to be insane to believe such nonsense. The idea that people of sub-Sahara Africa (who hadn't even invented the wheel) made their way up into Europe and became a significant population is just mental. There might have been a handful of slaves travelled with the Roman Armies but that would be it.
I was born in 1947 and grew up in Manchester. Everyone was white. We moved to London in 1964 and lived in Ealing. Everyone was white in our neighbourhood. There was a big Indian Hindu community in Southall. I first saw some black people in Shepherd's Bush, but the majority were white. I remember how surprised my grandmother was when she came to visit us and saw black people on the way into central London. She had never seen any black people in her entire life. She would then have been in her 70s.
I know several people from Barbados and after listening to some of their delusions I decided to check if their names matched plantation names in Barbados. And they do. There’s even marriage records for owners and inheritances, assuming the plantations weren’t actually owned by blacks then their names are derived to identify who owned them. Africans seem to be quite different and don’t have any resentment that ive seen, well no resentment for slavery. Of course I wouldn’t be so offensive as to suggest the origins of their names, but in a way blacks were part of British history for a long time, but mostly on plantations in the West Indies and not here in the motherland. I didn’t see one till I went to secondary school in 1975. Now that school is massively diverse, the whole demographic is massively changing
Ha, funny you should mention that film. Its black director, Steve McQueen, was on ITV local news yesterday. He, as part of a promotional piece, was seen interviewing a Blitz survivor, an elderly white man. Funny, no mention of the fact that it is the Blitz as seen through the eyes of, yes, a black boy. Out of the thousands of white children, Britain being at that time almost entirely white, the idea that a black child should be representative of London in the early 1940s is an absolute joke. But, as I said, there is no mention of historical revisionism at work.
I am constantly baffled as to why 'black british history' is pushed. The evidence is so tenuous and yet vast tomes are thrust upon the unknowing. Keep up the good work Simon.
My grandmother waa born in July 1899. As a child l remember her telling me the first time she physically saw a black man was in Dudley, Worcestershire ( as it was then ) and this was an American soldier. That was in 1942.
There you go then, that seems like conclusive solid proof about the entire population of Britain for the last several hundred years. Your grandmothers anecdote.
If black people were in the uk for that long, they would have had enough time to breed in larger numbers, which would have been visible in the general population. But nothing of the sort has been observed.
@@markshrimpton3138the claim is that it hasn’t shown up because of DNA drift, which would make sense if it is a tiny population. However, they claiming a large population which invalidates the claim of DNA drift. It is sucking & blowing at the same time. Anything to get the results they want
By speaking of "African" as a generic racial designation, it allows others to claim the heritage of Egyptians and Carthaginians as their own. It's like somebody from Laos claiming that something that happened in ancient Anatolia is "his" heritage, because both come from Asia.
Whenever I am unfortunate enough to see the race grifter Olusoga I can't help but think he is trying, and failing, to hide a sly smirk and cheeky wink knowing that he can say whatever he pleases on the BBC with the clear understanding that absolutely nobody will fact check him, edit his script or in any way direct him away from spouting a never ending stream of factually incorrect racist bile.
What’s interesting is that Olusoga is mixed race. His mother was white. He was born in Lagos, Nigeria but came to this country with his mother when his Nigeria father left his family. It was his mother, a white woman, who brought him up.
Look at as many of the earliest Victorian photographs as you can and apart from a very few people in port towns, you will never see a person of sub Saharan African ancestry.
That will be fake news. I bet in the future there will be a push to convince us all that photographic evidence has been manipulated to erase or change the coloured faces.
I watched a slidwshow of Victorian England it was 14 mins long with a different picture and explanation about every 5 secs , remarkably, there wasn't one black person in any of them
The issue of reparations raises its head with this claim. If they were here during the Atlantic slave trade: 1) Why did they allow slavery given their claims of “empowerment” and prominence? 2) How are they not at least partially responsible, if all White people are held to such account (for slaves and actions which they and their ancestors never took part in)? They’ve lost me on this one unless there’s some fraud going on.
Out of all of the current issues we’re dealing with around race and immigration, the rewriting and destruction of our history worries me the most. It genuinely breaks my heart because I know it’s part of a bigger movement to deny the English an ethnicity.
@@markshrimpton3138 Don't worry. Remember that unlike Whites, Blacks can racially appropriate to their hearts content. No doubt they can appropriate and falsify evidence, as they have already done, writing literature on the supposed advanced sub Saharan Societies that invented everything in the known Universe.
The bulk of the British population during the times of the Roman occupation were white, including Gauls and Germans. The few 'Africans' came from the Mediterranean coast of Africa; they were not Bantu nor any other ethnicity south of the Sahara Desert.
They are teaching this rubbish to my daughter at school, infact that historian is hailed as a great black briton during black history month, another thing that dosn't exist
They always hide the fact that Romans called black people "Ethiopians" (and not "Africans" nor "Moors"), Ethiopian being a greek term meaning burned faces. "Ethiopians" were very uncommon in the Roman Empire, and the few who actually were present were usually from Nubia. The sight of an Ethiopian was so rare that an African Emperor - Septimius Severus - was in shock when he saw one black soldier at the Hadrian wall that he thought it was a bad omen. Whether or not the story is actually true or not, it shows that "blackness" of appearance was seen as very unusual and linked to negative ideas like death in Roman culture.
Whats also hidden is arabs refered to themselves as "black," back in ancient times anyone with brown hair n brown eyes could be called black, it was never n exclusive term for southern africans until the last 50 years, imo.
I grew up in the 1960's in Welling, Kent which is actually in the London Borough of Bexley. I honestly did not see a black person until I started work in 1972 in a factory in Deptford/Bermondsey. I assure you its not racist it is just a statement of fact. There were no black children at any of my schools or anywhere on our council estate. When I did start working and socialising with black people at work it didn't seem strange as everyone just got on without a thought of any judgements. In fact we all laughed at the way the character of Alf Garnett was portrayed because it was so extreme and comical. I now find it bizarre that those of us who lived through those years are told how it was totally different to what we observed and experienced. The 21st Century is a very strange place at times I find.
Next you will be telling us that the windrush generation rebuilt Britain while the indigenous population sat around scratching their heads not knowing how to do it.
In the early 70's a black lad turned up at my school, all the kids gathered round him and started touching his hair because they'd never seen a black person in real life before... absolutely true.

It's like these people who say that black people "saved the NHS."
5000 trainee nurses arrived from Africa and the Caribbean to work in the NHS between 1956 - 1971.
Out of a total of 250,000 NHS nurses in that period that is 2%.
Are they really saying that 1 in 50 black nurses saved the NHS??
Compare that with the 13,000 nurses recruited from northern and southern Ireland over the same period.

I searched for a new film, Blitz, set in WWII. After looking at the cast, I won't bother watching it.
There was 1 black ARP warden in the whole country.
