    Dude I love how your fight analysis. It is really on point. I also think Magomed is gonna win vs Pereira, there guys are very disciplined and they do not give much room for the other guy to take advantage. They fight very intelligently and their game plan usually is on point. As per Khamzat, people keep doubting an UNDEFEATED fighter who has never been dominated even tho he faced Kamaru Usman (short notice yes but tough fight regardless) and Gilbert Burns when he was probably on his prime.

    Man, Ilia it's a MONSTER....nobody in 145 lbs can beat him. Nobody stay close to win the Spanish-Georgian fighter. The question is : how good is in 155 ? We need to see against Makachev...and raise to the leyend status. Topuria is insane. The best fighter in UFC actually.

    What's even more insane is Ilia is 16-0 with a championship title belt and 1 title defense already!!! He's for real.

    Ilia is gonna beat Volk in a rematch.... why even bother?! I wanna see Ilia vs Lopes!

      You think a professional in Volk is just going to do the exact same thing the second time around? He will change his game plan. I also don’t think Volk will win either but never count out someone of his calibre.

    Chimaev was like a breath of reality and truth. We somehow knew, that he is that incredibly good, but hoped Whittaker can survive first round. And we also hoped, that Chimaev will be tired after first round...too many conditions. and assumptions:)

    Topuria and Holloway: opposite sides of the same coin, in a way.
    I've watched Max Holloway for years now get the better of striking exchanges because of ONE hallmark feature: his chin. I've seen him eat bombs early from Aldo, Kattar, Yair, Allen, etc and just shrug them off and go on to have what is called a 'masterclass' after the fact, with many people ignoring the fact that he was tagged with what should be fight ending shots.
    I am now watching the same with Ilia Topuria, except his hallmark feature is his power. He showed less of a tendency to overcommit in this fight, and so there were fewer moments where he was WIDE open, but the fact of the matter remains that the only way he is getting away with planting his feet (or in some cases lunging forward) and launching wild 4-5 punch combinations is because of the heat he is throwing.
    He's playing a dangerous game beautifully, and winning big at the moment.
    Incredible result, what a fun, tense fight 👏👏

    Holloway should have stayed at lightweight

    • @saljewsteinbergowitz
      @saljewsteinbergowitz 21 день назад

      What's holloway going to do when Ilia moves up to lightweight tho? That's inevitable. Islam is one of my favorite fighters, but he isn't beating Ilia.

      @@saljewsteinbergowitz, Yup and No
      if he knew that weight cutting was way difficult then, Yes
      But if Max was feeling good even after weight cut then, Why Not.
      it hurts to see him getting knocked out like that but we have to give Topuria his flowers, even though I don't like that Midget even a tiny bit.

    Ilia will become the first 3 division champion and he will go down as the goat. Every time this dude fights, people go against him. He's too good for featherweight, he carries his power and then some at lightweight... And I believe that he could carry that power to welterweight. People will call me crazy. Don't even care. Please tell me how Belal would take that left hook or overhand right from ilia. Thanks.

  • @ZolPsyko
    @ZolPsyko 21 день назад +3

    Max had the skills but just didn't have the power he did against Gaethje. I think he needs to stay at 155.
    I think the only way to beat Ilia is to finish him. You can't run and out point him for 25 minutes.
    Ilia would be interesting at 155 vs Islam, but I think those guys have the size and power to compete with Ilia and beat him.

    I dont see any striker winning to topuria, is just too hard to run away from him for 5 rounds... maybe a super elite wrestler can go to decision..

  • @DK_Sinta
    @DK_Sinta 21 день назад +3

    If he beats Volk in a rematch, Lopes, Winner of Movsar/Aijo, moves up gets double champ status and defends it twice he’s the greatest oat if we’re going off of resume 😂

    • @ReNeDesCartes782
      @ReNeDesCartes782 21 день назад

      Ain't happening, Movsar will beat him any day of the week.
      Lopes too is nasty, but he looked somewhat weak against Dan ige.
      so may be Topuria wins but still it would be a good fight.
      Aljo will be too easy for Topuria.

      @@ReNeDesCartes782 Aijo prevents no threat on the feet, has pillow hands and Ilia’s bjj and wrestling is also elite? Aijo gets brutally chinned before they hit the championship rounds, Diego chin always up in the air just waiting to catch a big meaty hook by Topurio and his best chance is to go to the ground which is not a good idea against Lopes and Movsar?!? Don’t make me laugh dude almost got KO’d in the first round by Lopes and almost got flatlined by Arnold Allen 😭 be honest with yourself if Evloev wasn’t Chechen would even back him? He also prevents no threat on the feet which is horrible so he’ll literally have to crotch sniff for the 5 rounds. In hindsight tho Movsar realistically is the only one I can see grinding Ilia to a decision.

    Ilia vs Volk is next , even though volk fans are scared . We need to understand that volk wants it and deserves it so he will take it . I think diego lopes vs movsar evloev is good fight to make and winner will fight ilia next while ilia fights volk . AFTER ilia beats volk second time and defends against winner of diego vs evloev , he can go for lightweight vs islam or arman whoever has the title or he can go for bantamweight vs umar if umar beats merab to avenge his georgian brother.

    Bryce, don't you think it's overstated how "easy" Rob would beat him if he survived the first round/rounds? Realistically, he would be down 10-8, and he'd be tired from scrambling and defending submission and taking ground and pound damage, carrying his weight, etc. Khamzat has shown the ability to take down people even in rounds 2 and 3. Robs latest finish past round 2 was in 2013 at welterweight.

    • @brycefromboston
      @brycefromboston  21 день назад +4

      @@JoeSmith-we3jw Very good points, I do agree. Sometimes as a fan base we focus on just the advantages and not how they play into the actual matchup. For example Whittaker’s cardio. That was a great example. I believe he has an advantage but Khamzat had the ability to wear Rob down with his early push. Great point

    • @JoeSmith-we3jw
      @JoeSmith-we3jw 21 день назад +2

      @brycefromboston Thanks. I also think Whittaker would fear the takedown in a potential round 2 and would be low output because of that, which would make them both recover. He would know that if he overextended, he could essily get timed with another takedown. Would also open things up for Khamzat on the feet. Another overlooked detail was that Khamzat was able to take Burns down even after getting knocked down by a huge punch in round 2. That he can effectively "panic wrestle" is a pretty huge plus for his ability to survive/win later on as well.

      I think Rob should consider packing it up. He's done great things already.

    Recency bias or not, it’s alarming of just the potential this man has. He just fucking KO’d Holloway and Volk in the same goddamn year who are two of the best featherweights in the division AND HES ONLY 27 YEARS OLD 😂 Even though I feel Ilia doesn’t deserve the fight yet, him and Islam would FEED FAMILIES 😭

    • @camaleonhippie7567
      @camaleonhippie7567 21 день назад +1

      For sure, and with their performances I really think we will see that fight sometime because in Illia's part I don't see him losing, and well in Makachev case I think if he defeats Arman I don't think he has a great challenge in the near future

    • @saljewsteinbergowitz
      @saljewsteinbergowitz 21 день назад +1

      @saljewsteinbergowitz 21 день назад +1

      @@camaleonhippie7567 Exactly... And Ilia.... in my opinion as someone who is a huge fan of both Islam and Ilia, will knock islam out. Islam has never faced someone with the power of Ilia topuria. He transfers his weight into every single punch he throws. He's different. And people forget that Ilia is actually a grappler/wrestler hahaha. He's better on the ground then he is on the feet... His tdd is insane. So it will be a standup war, and ilia has more dog in him... Once again, Islam is one of my favorite fighters of all time, so I'm not being biased whatsoever
