    Going to throw this suggestion out to anyone who enjoys this game. Foxhole is to military games, what Project Zomboid is to zombie/survival games. Both isometric, and greatly detailed.

    Logistics front line sounds pretty awesome. Bus people around sort of thing. Communicate friendly with players and drop them off to fight. Then drive back and do it again.
    Or maybe transfer materials idk. But mostly the olayer interaction sounds fun. Long drives too from one depot to another. I assume that’s a thing

    5:14 There is a reason , why it should stay where it stands.
    Commends and ranks are just carrot for those who doing dirty job. Logi is obligatory aspect of game , you can't do anything without logi.
    If clan doing logi, it provides itself for combat content.
    Who will provide provide public fronts with equipment ? if logi will waste their time and don't get anything back after some point, fronts will fight with pistols.
    Those ,who say that the logistical aspect of the game is interesting are just growers of new logi players. They preparing new logi to decrease their time, spented on this endless grind .
    And if someone will do extra bmats trip for those 3 commends, fine. Rank is just carrot on fishing rod , for logi horses , which pulling war machine.
    TBH best way to farm commends is to lead clan activities. When you have 25+ people in discord and after you achive your goal everyone max commend each other is much more effetive. But once you hit mid rank, you don't really care about your rank anymore. Commends are dust . Those who ask for them are pitiful because they are still chasing carrots on a fishing rod.
    Sad ,that they don't have such system for good building. You can't commend person who builded and maintained really good defences. Because they usually offline or in another region.
    Also you suggesting kpi, but how to measure kpi for spotter of artillery , or tank driver , or organisation of something?
    The KPI of many roles can only be evaluated by other players. This is the current system.
    And nothing still prevents you from just logging into the game with your friends every day and commend each other.
    TLDR . Commends and ranks are here to compensate lack of fun in sertain aspects of game.

      Either didnt watch the video or I really cant tell what you are on about. So builders dont deserve commends? people that spend a full day repairing dont deserve commends? scroopers? folks managing facilities, other logi than frontline logi? In your opinion, only people that do frontline logi should get notifications for commends? Really? That's really ungratefull of you. Is that what you do when you play? just farm commends on logi?
      Artilery, tanks other group activities are easy to manage. All xp gained by the squad should be shared by the squad... Next question?
      And By the way if you actually watched the video, you would hear me say it's exactly because commends are nonsense and meaningless now that they need to change... TO HAVE IMPORTANCE AND MEANING...
      I swear, some folks just read the first sentence of a book and leave a review criticizing it was not a good book...

    I love this game! Have played it a bunch. My only problem with it is that there is a strong Minority of players, usually Regi members, who treat other players disrespectfully, bossing them around and making the gameplay experience hostile and unwelcomeing, if the goal is for the game to grow and thrive, then let other players enjoy themselves, and dont take it TOO seriously. Thats just my 5 cents worth

  • @meikymaus997
    @meikymaus997 Год назад +5

    hmm you do realize the win rate on able is 55 to 52 right ? its almost 50/50 in my experience most regiments do stay their faction 95% of the time and if they switch they switch mostly because their own side shits on them . and the next wars colonial will most likely catch up again, their tanks got massive buffs . i do agree with your rank suggestion. i am a logi brig tho i do backline to midline frontline seaport logistics bringign in bulk material by freighters . i dont ask for commends i just get them, since i put my stuff in public so anyone can get it and supply frontline bunkers . i dont do that for comments lol . the biggest issue is that the servers poop out when more than 6k in totla play at the same time

    • @TheOnlySillySocks
      @TheOnlySillySocks  Год назад

      In regards to the overall score, it's a bit irrelevant since most of the time there are streaks, some quite impressive. I would attribute those streaks to a variety of things, buffs or nerfs to the factions, but the amount and quality of regiments. And from my perspective, Organization on the battlefield is a major factor for winning, because the more organized and managed faction can take lesser assets and still churn out wins. This has varied and the overall count of victories is pretty much a tie, but, the presence of very long streaks speaks to something else. In my opinion, the presence and quality of numerous and organized regiments.
      Yeah the servers need a boost. I would much prefer they focus on that and increasing the player count than making more shards.

      @@TheOnlySillySocks well from what i see the latest wars go quit the same , collonials make gains in the early war , stalemate in mid war, than warden push back . i think its more a burn out thing on colli side lately . i mean MSA stood 8 time in arti range of Weathered halls and couldnt capitalize on it and take it . i was playing warden last war so 108 . when i logged off i was like okey this time its done for and the east will fall. but they capitialize on their gains in asian time and got pushed back in EU 8 times . same with fox catcher .
      for the organization its leess , that wardens are more organized. we just help eachother more . people fromt he west front go east and vice versa . whiel collonials still clign to their coalition thing and hate eahc other as it seems ( this is just speculation from my side , from what i heared )

    • @TheOnlySillySocks
      @TheOnlySillySocks  Год назад

      Yeah but that's exactly the point. If colonials keep getting most of the noobs late war like they have recently, because regiments leave, how are they going to organize anything to last? It's all about morale and if regiments aren't incentivized to stick around to the end, even when taking loses, vets leave and its just noobs. There needs to be something in play to incentivize those that tough it out to the end. Both vets and full regiments. People love bragging rights and giving loyal and persistent players and regiments rewards is the only way. I dont agree with just penalizing players to force them, I believe in clear and balanced incentives.
      So even if wardens where less organized, the fact players can leave or switch shards is bad for the gameplay, but necessary. Therefore incentives is the way to go.

    • @meikymaus997
      @meikymaus997 Год назад

      @@TheOnlySillySocks they dont get more noobs late war , how do you come to that conclusion ? MSA was unable to capitalize on their tech advantage and got their teeth kicked in when it evened out . i never said anything about penelties O.o you cannot switch during a war and not allowing switches when you get bullied by your own side makes no sense .
      if you force people to stay on a side evn tho they dotn want to play there anymore for what ever reason they just stop playing at all .
      in all most every war wardens have more cassulaties. maybe wardens are just more tenacious and dotn give up

    • @TheOnlySillySocks
      @TheOnlySillySocks  Год назад

      Right because the Germans got more casualties in WWII then the allies because they were tenacious, didn't give up and won at the end? If you are taking casualties into account the only correlation is, if a side takes more, and wins, it means their logistics where miles better to support that level of aggression and sacrifice. That's it. Factions have won with more and with less casualties.
      By the end of any war, the side that's losing always has more noobs on the front lines than the winning side. Maybe you don't know this because you don't fight that much and that's ok. the backlines always need more people. By the end of this last war, Colonials where over 95% lower ranks that Sergeants on the frontlines. Even some of the higher ranks where probably logi players that just wanted to get some action, and ended up making some huge mistakes. When one side begins to lose, regiments lose their bases and leave, it happens all the time. Most of the experienced players in logi leave if they lose their facility they worked to build. It's always a snow ball.

    Talking about the regiment reward system, I think this could get very overwhelming for the game.
    The only thing I can really accept would be something like, regiments that stay over multiple wars or through out an entire war, or what ever. They get rewarded through some point system and the top 4 or 8 regiments(thinking about limiting network data needed to be transferred) at any time get their own arm bands or decals for example. Custom hat decals could also be cool.
    Custom reward systems that affect gameplay feels like it will just be cheesed to where everyone will combine into a few big regiments so that everyone gets the reward.

    i really dont think that factionhopping is sucha big problem. all of the big regiments are loyal to their faction and once you have played as a faction for a few minutes you are locked to that faction for that war on that shard. You would have to use an alternate account to "factionhop" and the devs issue quite frequent permabans for people who are cought "alting" to sabotage

    • @TheOnlySillySocks
      @TheOnlySillySocks  Год назад

      I didnt say all regs/vets do it. I said some have done it because it's allowed. And it should be, but the problem is there nonetheless. That's why I suggested rewarding loyalty and persistence as exemplified by the loyalty bonus conditions suggested for regiments that though it out. A clear example of the problem was the 3 shard period where 1 was basically for warden exp reg, one for colonial vets, and the third for newbies overall. Also, when I say vets leave a war, it includes people that stop playing, like I explained in the video. I never said the vets only change shards when losing, I said they leave when losing. There are many examples of full regiments that leave as soon as their main base is gone, and wait for the next war. But this video was for everyone. If I anticipated every way people could misunderstand anything I said on the video, it would an hour long, and most people that don't understand the game would not like it. However, not recognizing multiple shards are a problem because it allows people to switch wars when losing, both regiments and/or vets, is disingenuous. The fact that is a possibility means some have/will do it.
      I didnt mention alting because its a known problem equivalent to cheating imo and that's for the devs to tackle, and they already know it.

      @@TheOnlySillySocks rewarding regiments that stay on one side means regiments that dont will not have access to the rewards, so basically they are missing out because of the way they choose to play the game. Honestly the amount of regiments that actually switch sides between wars is very, very small. I agree that vetstacking is a problem in this game, but its more of a "players migrate to the winning faction" problem rather than a "whole regiments switch sides" problem, and the root of that is the devs extremely erratic balancing decisions, or one side getting extremely burnt out from multiple win streaks

    • @TheOnlySillySocks
      @TheOnlySillySocks  Год назад

      Well yes, that's the point. Those that fight for the whole war and dedicate themselves to a faction should be rewarded imo. It could be stuff that doesn't have an effect on the fight, but something that reinforces the value of dedication. I do agree with the rest but I'm not getting into balancing issues. Don't have "winning factions", duh.
    All issues come from balance pendulum swinging every few wars, and not from veteran players deciding for some reason to "enjoy" 60+ second respawn timers on a "winning" side.
    This is why i don't think some artificial faction locks should exist either. Good clans are good because they know equipment from both sides. Know strengths and weaknesses and what tactics the enemy would probably use.
    Rank system can be misleading in some cases and i would like devs to look at it. But in all hours of playing the game ive only got fooled by it 2 or three times. Usually with hardcore logy player trying expensive combat vehicle, while having very little understanding what to do with it. But hey, they grinded for it, it's their right.
    In 99% of other cases rank is still a very nice way to quickly gauge experience on the frontline.

      I disagree. Without them it would require a permanent defending force of players, and given that they cant really put many players to offset that, and the fact that people play to have fun, not sit at a defending post for 8 hours a day, it would be a horrible turnoff for 99.99% of the player base. Plus, there are so many ways to deal with them it makes perfect sense. from mammon rushing, tanks, ballista's, even shoulder rocket launchers. For gameplay purposes, it is vital. Or would you volunteer to sit in a bunker 8 hours a day in case someone came along and attacked them? Because that's what you are asking the other players to do...
