      Shutters look like the house is a prison from the outside.

    Blinds have a 5-6 year life expectancy? That’s wild. I’m thinking minimum 15 years lol

    I have a Hunter Douglas window shade and the shade needs replacing. Can I just take the headrail somewhere and have a new shade installed?

    What about shades for attic windows? Currently have Velux but so expensive to replace, over 300 euros for shades

    Do shutters protect from UV radiation, heat from the sun. I want to use them for a balcony, it gets very hot when above 35°C. Are they the most expensive option of the 3 ?!?

    • @sunburstshutters6464

      Polywood shutters not only withstand sun exposure, they also block up to 30° of temperature. They reduce heat transfer by up to 45%, too. That directly affords you savings on your heating and cooling payments.

      Actually, shutters go with every decorating style. If you want to dress them up, add draperies to one side or both. We're finding customers are more interested in shutters due to their light and noise control, as well as their energy efficiency and how easy they are to clean.

      I moved to Europe and shutters are common here but placed outside the window. I love how they blackout the rooms. Absolutely love the energy efficiency factor.

      @@sunburstshuttersusa8517 Shutters are the ultimate flex. They’re very high end.

    • @twinstars8812
      @twinstars8812 Год назад +2

      @@DctorSkillz1 Not really, they take up a lot of spaces, because the way they open horizontally. It's perfectly fine if you have nothing near the wall. But if you want to put a desk against the wall and there is a shutter, it GETS in the way. I've run into this issue multiple times over the years, I gave up on shutters.

    Good distinction among the 3 items, but to say that shades are all or nothing seems a bit outdated.

    • @sunburstshuttersusa8517
      @sunburstshuttersusa8517  Год назад +2

      What we meant was that the majority of shades don't give you the ability to redirect light like a blind or shutter. There are a couple types of shades that allow you to redirect light, but with all others, as soon as you lift the shade, you get total light.
