- After a slow start to the season it is AWESOME to be back out walking the banks of a small waterway with Brett, casting lures for Murray cod. The yellowbelly are just an amazing bonus.

'Suspicious looking tackle club sticker'. Would you care to elaborate Robbie?? 😁 Your enthusiasm to be back out flicking lures is contagious. Some nice fish there boys, well done!
There’s a rough series of thoughts
Never seen that logo in my life… Never
Haha Thanks Frank. It is so good to be back on the water with rest casting lutes. After Christmas these videos will become a lot more common.... hopefully. LOL
Seen those similar stickers on the back of 4x4s Patrol Hub Robbie is just an off road enthusiast😆
Ahahaha maybe there onto something with the sus colour combo. I reckon someone should make a cod lure which those colours saying “cod hub”
Good signs!
Good one good to see cod on lures again 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Cam. I can't wait to do more if this after Christmas.
Thanks again bro for a great night on the water
Thanks bro, I can't wait to do it all again. I'm drowning bait with my old man at the moment.
Out and about with family and mates flicking lures, that’s living.
Thanks for sharing
Love your work
Healthy habits
Thanks Moo Moo. I am really looking forward to doing more of this afternoon Christmas.
Those fish look amazing. Great colour. Floods have repaired & flushed the river, go Mother Nature . Going to be a great season.
Tha ks so much Ann-Maree They certainly have refreshed the rivers in my area.
Good on yah Robbie

Hiya rob
Them cod are so beautiful they send a shive down my spine every time I see one..
Mate have a good day and best wishes to all...
I have a date with some unsuspecting turkeys 😱
😎🏴
Haha thanks Michael. Unsuspecting Turkey sounds interesting. LOL
Awesome video, it’s great to see the rivers have come down!
Thanks Zaki. At last they are finally starting to look OK mate. 👍
Cool seeing a flying fish at the start
Mate don't worry about mozzie spray, get amongst thermo-cell. Brilliant in the mangroves here in the Territory 👌👌👌
Thanks mate. I have one here, I need to buy some nee gas calendars. It's seems to work well when I am sitting still but not great when moving.
7:37 Brett thought that by being a couple of hundred metres away from Robbie he’d be safe from visits! 🤣
LOL
What beautiful coloured Yellas well done to both of you
Thanks so much Peter. 👍
Hey Robbie I recently went out and caught my first ever Murray cod
WOW that is so awesome, well done mate.
Awesome mate. River is looking good! Definetly on the bucket list to come and lure fish for cod and yellow belly.
Thanks mate. You would love it, it's a very addictive form of fishing.
great video always gotta appreciate the small ones your videos make me soo excited to go for a fish all the time and i do today i put my rod in the river a few metres from my house and went out foshing caught some roach and redfin and came back and caught a brown trout from my river trying for short finned eels tonight and blackfish
Thanks for your kind words Ned. WOW what an exciting fishery you must have. So awesome, well done buddy.
Nice fish Robbie!!! It’s good to see you doing a bit of lure fishing
Thanks so much Seth. Hopefully I can do more after Christmas.
On the board off the top Robbie, Well done.
Thanks Mick. Its been a slow start. After Christmas I will be doing a lot of this type of fishing I reckon.
Hi Robbie! Love the videos that you have posted over the past month. Today I went yabbying and caught 91 yabbies on handlines. Love the content keep it up.
Thanks so much mate. WOW thats a lot of yabbies, well done. I went yabbying this afternoon and caught no yabbies. LOL
I have some pretty cool yabbying videos coming out soon though thanks to a run of good luck lately.
another great vid to end the day off with :)
Thablnks so much Macca.
Nice one guys. Looks like the river is starting to return to normal with a few fish caught in lures
Thanks buddy. It's still up a bit but is definitely improving thankfully.
Good stuff!
Thanks mate.
good video robbie cant wait for the cod season to ramp up💪
Thanks mate. Neither can I.
It’s warming up
Congratulations on making 65 Robbie!
Thanks mate.
Oh yeah some great baits and great fishing Robbie .that Brett is a fish magnet and I love how those yellow belly look almost like a big pumpkin seed with a tail .thanks Robbie and I hope you and yours have a merry Christmas ...
Thanks so much Tim. They certainly do have beautiful vibrant colours in the clear water.
Well done Robbie it's been a bit harder to get em on the lures Hay but it shore beats sitting in ground of the TV after school.!!
Thanks Jake. You're not wrong mate. It sure has started slowly, but it's so good to be back k out flicking lures again.
Well done to you both, those Yellowbelly had terrific colouring. Still looks like a couple weeks before the Edward is fishable, so great to watch vids like yours to get my fix LOL
Thanks so much Larry. I'm so glad to hear that there's light at the end of the tunnel for you. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Edwards fishes after the floods.
Good stuff, as usual mate. Love it.
Thanks so much Pat.
Hey Robbie with the spinner bait you put a soft plastic on the hook for more hook up trust me I caught a massive Murry cod
Thanks for the great tip. 👍👍
Nice work boys! First cod on a lure for the season. Possibly first yella each for the season on a lure as well? Congrats both of you
Thanks mate. Yep, they sure were. Lots of firsts in this video.
Thanks again for video. God bless.
Thank you Becky. I hope you have a wonderful day today. 🙏
I'm moving to central Queensland soon so I'll have to pack up my saltwater knowledge and try to remember what I can about freshwater. Your videos will help a fair bit I reckon.
That frog looked surprised after the cod grabbed it.
Thanks mate. Haha The frog was probably as surprised as I was having nit caught a cod on a surface lure for many months. LOL
Great to see you out having a flick with good old Brett never met the man but l reckon he would be a top bloke anyway Robbie you and your family have a wonderful Xmas mate thanks for all your videos this year
Thanks so much Jeff. Brett sure is a ripper of a bloke.
Thanks for your kind words mate. I hope that you all have a great Christmad too.
Definitely worked hard for that cod Robbie, some good fish especially Brett’s yella! 👏👌
Thanks mate. Brett's yella was a ripper. Perfect for the frying pan. Haha
@@robbiefishing hahaha!!! Absolutely!! 😂🙈
Well done mate, I have a 6th sense speedwake waiting to attack the river myself, great looking lure, put it to use over the Xmas break now our local rivers are starting to fire. Merry Xmas
Thanks mate Merry Christmas to you too. Good luck with your lure.
Hi robbie I am going to get a new rod tomorrow so hopefully I can get some good fish this season
Hi mate, how exciting. Good luck mate, I hope your new rod brings you plenty if great luck.
6:04 was someone on the wacky tobacky there? 🤣 awesome vid mate, that lure box is a ripper too 👌 also that oval shaped split ring is common on the Jackall micro pompadour lures, bit small for what you typically do though
Haha I was talking about Brett's insect repellent. LOL Thanks mate, that's interesting to know. This was the first time that I have seen one
@@robbiefishing context needed next time hahaha. Yeah it won't be too common on the lures you typically use but it is more common on the more finesse Bass stuff.
Well done mate. Great video 👍
Thanks mate. 👍
3 fish but still a top vid! Well done 😁👍
Thanks so much mate.
@@robbiefishinganytime! 🙂
Hey Robbie, love the vids/ tackle club vids Do you do a vid for each tackle club box each month? Cause I can’t seem to find last months one.
Hey mate I sure do. Lasts months was called "Trout fishing with a Rapala minnow" or something similar.
Oh please explain Robbie, why was the tackle club sticker so suspicous? Looked pretty innocent to me.
Haha You may have to google that one. 🤣 🤣
With your next video can you Fish with a x-rap Otus From Rapala For Murray cod
You need to do another "Hey You" intro with the present beard.
Haha excellent idea.
that 6th sense looks premo Robbie
It's a bloody ripper mate. I can't wait to use it more after Christmas.
Hey Robbie I just thought I would ask you where you go fishing
Hi mate most of my fishing is in North East Victoria and the Riverina region of NSW. Occasionally I travel a little bit further away. Recently I went to Lake Cargelligo in NSW and Mildura in Victoria.
Thanks Robbie 👍👍
Not sure if it's just me but this video isn't showing up on in your recent videos I came across it in your playlists and was confused😅
Hi mate, well done. You found an unlisted video. Hahaha I am publishing this video tonight at 7pm.
I hope you enjoyed viewing it exclusively. 😀 Only yourself and some of my Patreon followers have seen it.
If you wish to share the video that is awesome, but please wait until I have made it public if that is OK. 👍👍
would anybody know where i can find the spinnerbaits that robbies freind was using
Hi mate, im not actually sure what brand of spinnerbait he was using that night.
he robbie i’m a big fan have you got a jj lures stumpjuper topwater lure
Thanks mate. I haven't actually, are they good?
@@robbiefishing there alright
@6:05 was Brett doing a joint or a poo? Sorry had to ask 🤣
Haha I was talking about his insect repellent. LOL
@@robbiefishing hahaha sorry Man
My pet yabby has all white dots on it anyone know what it is?
Some people say flatworm but idk if it’s true or not
Hi Jack, are they dots or are they tiny little parasites? If they're tiny little parasites, you might be able to put it in some salty water.
Put a small amount of water with salt in it in the sink, but not enough to cover the yabbies head. The parasites should just fall off.
👏👏👏👍🍺❤️🇦🇺
Awesome session robbie, I’m keen to get out onto some cod again, but I’m not sure how high the rivers are around my go to spots, gotta get out and explore and find out, I heard some locals have been catching some so I could probably get out, Shepparton’s definitely an underrated area for fishing, so many places around town with excellent fishing and mostly locals know about them
Thanks mate. I love fishing around Shepparton. I love bait fishing and cst Hong yellowbelly and Silver Perch when the rivers are low.
@@robbiefishing I love bait fishing but more recently have been trying lure fishing alot more and I’m enjoying it, in Tatura there’s a small lake called lake bartlett and there’s a couple parts to the lake, there’s Carp, Redfin, Trout and Yellowbelly in there, I’ve also seen a massive dead crayfish in there, it’s hard work but when you catch fish in there it’s so rewarding
"Aw geez she drops away there!"
You gotta love wearing waders in a water hole that wants to drown you. Cod are on! Bewdy. Might could be heading out the Ovens this weekend. See you around the traps, mate.
Thanks Muz. Good luck mate. 👍 I found a few sneaky drop off's thst night that weren't there last year. Haha
I had one of the lures they worked well for me I caught my biggest stick fish was 130cm then next cast lost it haha. Great video mate well done on the fish
Haha thanks mate.
