How good are Yellowbelly! Never get sick of seeing them. Perfect fish to learn on as they’ll take lures and bait if you get the technique right and you learn about fishing structure in a river pretty quickly. I still remember my first good session on them, the river was very quiet we didn’t see any fish for a few days, I ended up finding 1 stick in 1 hole, last light on that stick produced constantly for a few days straight. Turned an average fishing trip into one of my best. Such a wonderful unique fish to have in our waterways.
So what dad and I love to do when it's like that on the Murray we tuck right up to the snags and drop shimp and little yabbies down and do what your doing but a little different. As soon as we feel a bite we lift the bait up once we get a consistent bite then the fish usually hooks themselves
An Xmas holiday to Murray river we arrive and a bloke siting in a small dingy near a log , as he left i cast near the log & 5ms l8tr pulled a 2lb yella bellie . Another Xmas trip to a Lake - did the same thing everyone close fishing 1 walked up seen a spot amongst the reeds cast in and Bang 5ms a 5lb redie :)
Hey mate. Good video. I grew up on the castlereagh river in central western NSW. We loved cleaning up the carp, catching natives was an awesome bonus 👍🏼👍🏼
What a great video dude, i'm fromn Adelaide and My Jack Russell 'Dodger'and I love fishing and have some awesome pics too including 1 of me holding a GT i caught off the beach in far north Queensalnd :)
Such a great little video. Can't wait to get on to these techniques with my two young boys next week! What do you think about top water fishing when the river has low visibility, because I wondered if the big cod aren't really using much visual on top water??
That’s great to hear mate! I’m sure you’ll catch a few. Big cod are funny, I would say it will be tough but cod being cod you just never know and a big one might just smash it.
Can't believe how quick the water has turned to mud. Was as clear as I've ever seen it not that long ago. Is the bin on board for carp? Keep the callop vids coming, they're awesome \,,/
Like Lubin has said numerous times in his videos, the techniques he uses when fishing for yellas or cod will work all the way up and down the Murray. It doesn't matter what lock or sections of river hes fishing. He does the same thing and puts in alot of time and effort to bring us all awesome content so maybe you should be grateful.
That was really interesting Lubin.
Thanks mate
Been waiting for this video. Thanks Lubin.
No worries mate, hope you enjoy it!

Such a fun way to fish mate!
Some of the biggest yellas I've caught have been doing that

Thanks mate. The carp actually fight twice as hard as the natives!
Loved the Exmouth content, but it’s good to see you back on the home ground mate🤙🎣
Many thanks mate!
yep, time to change my tactics. Thanks!
Can't wait for more cod vids 👌
👍🏻
Excellent video mate!!
Thanks for watching mate!
Nice mate
Thanks mate
Instinct used to make a chrome tiger coloured blade which is absolute dynamite on yellas
Awesome stuff mate! I'm heading upstream into Vic/NSW Waters in a week which I'm sure will be dirty!
Cheers for the video and tips 👍

Same! Me and my Jackie 'Rusty' love going fishing up at the Murray, he always gets scared when I land a fish
Looks fun fishing in that water but over here in Borneo ,water like normally have big crocs.
I was thinking the carps may destroy your worm bait; but apparently not!
Usually the yellas will beat the carps to it which is good!
Im in Adelaide and all i catch are carp... Any parts where carp aren't around?
Na mate the river is full of carp from top to bottom but there is still lots of natives as well
You should do a video on your boat setup.
So watching the video again as usual and I'm just wondering how long you give each snag before heading to the next?
Usually about 10 minutes or so is enough to find out if something is going to happen or not
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 cheers.

Thanks mate. Yep we’ve had so much rain throughout the system they’ve had to dump a lot of water through, still plenty more on the way too!
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 good for the river so can't complain.
Into em
🤙🎣
Wow it’s dirty water there mate nice yellas but
Really dirty atm! Thanks for watching mate
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 yep like the rivers around here
I reckon those slimmer river fish look so much better that those big bloated impoundment fish
Why dont you ever mention what part of the Murray you are fishing, not even the state forest gets a mention LOL top secret stuff mate???

You sure do make an effort to hide the locations you fish at, never a boat ramp or point of reference in sight its always just fishing on the Murray
