Iron Wood House, designed by Earth Lines Architects, is a private residence and holiday villa located within Bali’s Uluwatu Surf Villas complex. Perched on a 2,300 m² cliff-front plot, the house seamlessly blends modern luxury with nature, offering breathtaking ocean views, lush gardens, and tranquil water features. The design incorporates 52 reclaimed ironwood columns, carrying historical significance and reinforcing the structure while complementing the use of reclaimed teak. Inspired by vernacular Indonesian architecture, the house features a floating two-story structure, a flexible framework for seismic resilience, and sustainable water management. Thoughtfully integrated into its surroundings, the villa fosters a harmonious living experience with nature, incorporating green roofs, open-air spaces, and architectural elements that enhance privacy and connectivity. As part of a larger artistic home collection, Iron Wood House stands as a model of innovation, tradition, and sustainability, creating a serene retreat at the edge of Uluwatu’s dramatic cliffs.
