Proud Trust/Robert Alfons is a fellow Canadian! Awesome and very unique musician that stands out even during this whole "synth/new wave revival" scene. There isn't a bad song on any if the albums. His voice is so good, and it's cool how he changes from low to high in songs. Doesn't hurt that he's obscenely attractive as well hahaha

Alfons has a voice, like no other man I've ever heard before. It's haunting and unrefined in the best way, of coarse; yet, as contrary as it may seem he's also, exquisitely smooth and polished. Each and every song shows just how faceted, nuanced, crafted, and he has a raw intensity -- in-as-much, his voice appears to have boundless versatility. I expect a long career for decades to come. It doesn't disturb me, that he might be unintelligible at times, since I'm a Cocteau Twins aficionado, I'm use to that formulation. Albeit, I'm willing to say Robert Alfons is perhaps the - male - equivalent of Elizabeth Fraser -- "The Voice of God". I'm really enjoying this Ethereal Dark-Wave, Dark-Synth, Dream-Pop -- ride, which is way better than any drug.
