Full respect to paramedics, and how they have to see so much gruesome injury's or death

Very interesting video and insight into SCDF Paramedics. I just had a look at the SCDF website on paramedics, and surprised you only get sixteen months of training to become a paramedic. Here in Australia, it's three years of university plus 12 months as an intern. Your pay and entitlements seem quite low too. We get a total of 8 weeks 2 days annual leave a year. I've done ride-alongs with quite a few ambulance services worldwide and would love to spend a shift with an SCDF crew. Is having four on an ambulance standard procedure in Singapore?

I was an EMT in SCDF more than a year ago. Usually there will be a 3 man crew at minimum which comprises 2 EMTs and 1 paramedic . The crew leader of the ambulance crew will always be the paramedic. The 4th man will be an extra manpower either another EMT or a paramedic trainee
