If you haven't already, you should check out Kris Harbour Natural Building here on RUclips. He does quite a bit of roundwood building, and explains the process quite well. He's got a very good tutorial on laying out roundwood joinery that you might find useful.
@@nigelsearthprojects If you don't mind a second recommendation, I'd say also have a look at Mr. Chickadee. He's not so much on the roundwood, but he does have some interesting things about using large stones as a foundation, and that Japanese wood charring thing to preserve your timber. And he's a good watch anyway.
Good luck and fortitude with building your dream. Upon seeing Bens books I was going to highly recommend Kris Harbour and Mr Chickadee, and see someones already done that. Wishing you the best.
So what's the status of this project? Looking forward to seeing more of this.
Great work! I'm leaning towards these good old techniques myself more and more now. They worked then.. they still work.
Good luck Nigel ill keep tuning in to see your progress

Yes! I have spent quite a few hours watching Kris’s building videos. I know exactly the one you mean where he shows how to lay out the lines

@@NezumiWorks Thanks, I have not heard of his channel. I’ll give it a look!

The most trouble I have with this is with roofing. I never get it right, always falls bit by bit or leaks. Any ideas??? Maybe a roofing video
I haven’t gotten there yet but I will show the process. Thanks for the suggestion!
